you know whats funny is the two portal games happen back to back from chells perspective and I dont think she ever ate, drank or used the bathroom once. How did she do it ???
bryce cintron They freeze the people in there. Cyrogeneses? I'm not sure what term they used, but GLaDOS mentioned it a few times when taunting you, talking about your parents. Plus, they put you to sleep for 15 days or so, then wake you up to make sure you move around to stay alive. They basically just freeze you and defrost you years in the future.
@@NorthBoiX Unfortunately not, Rick was the first core to be sucked into the vacuum of space, followed by Space core and Wheatley, Fact core is the only core who remained on earth
FACT: The Adventure Personality Core is based on the brain patterns of Saxton Hale, but to fit all the Manliness in one core, all of the Australianness had to be removed, and put in a second core. The Australian Core was so Australian, it became Australia.
"...Bedroom." "Yeah, hold me just like that. Things are about to get real messy." "GET DIRTY WITH THIS ROBOT!" "Alright, your funeral. Your beautiful lady corpse open casket funeral." Congrats Chell, you've been hit on by a robot.
I like how he just assumes the countdown clock is counting down until something dire happens. It is, of course, but it could be counting down until the cookies are ready, and he wouldn't know.
"I'll tell you, it's times like this where I wish I had a waist so I could wear all my black belts.. yeah, y'know.. I'm a black belt.. pretty in much everything, karate, la-rate, jujitsu, kick punchin', belt making, taekwondo... *bedroom* ."
Fun fact: Rick was probably meant to appear in the post credit cutscene along side Wheatley and the Space Core. He is after all in space with them, but it’s just never seen after that he gets ejected.
@@yoshitails940 After 2 games of another AI constantly taunting you for being fat and adopted having another AI just showering you with complements would make anybody enjoy their company at least somewhat
+HorakhtytheCreator Considering that Nolan North is most widely known as the voice of *Nathan Drake* from the Uncharted trilogy, I think that Nolan North as the voice of Rick the "Adventure Sphere" is one of the most hilariously fitting casting choices *ever!* XD
Everyone’s recommending Meet The Cores, but I would also highly recommend Portal: The Underground. Both fan projects have a lot of the same people, and even some of the same characters involved
Well. For explanation of that one, you need to search "Game Therorist, Companion Cube's Big secret" or something like that. Matt Pat explains it better than I ever could.
@@etube6226 yeah, the raw power corrupted him, even then his nice attitude towards Chell was most likely just a gimmick to get him to freedom which is very selfish I know but I think his views of Chell definitely changed as at the end of the game he expresses how he wishes he could’ve apologized to Chell. (Not to mention how he probably looks down upon humans so his view on chell at the start most likely wasn’t the best..) Either way, Wheatley and Rick will always win my heart I love them sm
I died four times just hopping around, dodging bombs and yeeting the cores around instead of placing them on Wheatley, just to listen to all their dialogues, but unfortunately, the timer won't let me have my time hanging out with them, doing nothing, so I'm here to hopefully listen to all of the ones I've missed lmao.
RU-vid in a nutshell: "Hey, y'know who found that interesting? Nobody. That didn't affect anybody's lives in any way whatsoever. Life would be exactly the same, if you hadn't said anything."
"Why don't you get him to say 'you two have been a thorn in my side long enough'." When he actually says that in game it will unlock this thing where Wheatley says "You have been a thorn in my side LONG ENOUGH!" I love it

I mean he does call her “dimples” so that implies she must’ve been smiling since well..he’s probably the first thing to not comment about her weight and her lack of parents but instead compliments her and possibly raised her self-esteem a bit.
So, when you kill that guy, do you have a cool line? You know, prepared? Tell you what: Lemme help you with that while you run around. Okay, let's see. Cool line... He's... big. He's... just hangin' there. Okay. Yeah, all right, here we go: 'Hang around.' That might be too easy. Hang ten?' That might work if there were ten of him. Do you think there might be nine more of this guy somewhere? All right, you know what, it's gonna be best if you can get him to say something first. It's just better if I have a set-up. Here's the plan: Get him to say, 'You two have been a thorn in my side long enough.' Then tell your pretty ears to stand back, because I am going to zing him into the stone age.
Wheatly: You two have been a thorn in my side for way too long Rick: Well this thorn is about to take you down! You have to admit, that is a pretty awesome line
THIS ROBOT OWES. YOU. MONEY! And Wheatley is getting sick of Rick and Space Core o3o DUN DUN DUND DUNA DUNT DUNA DUNAAA Hes got a glass jaw! A GLASS EVERYTHING! THIS GUY IS A CHINA CABNIT!
How is this core not named something like "Chad Core" or "Confidence Core" or "Romance Core" or "Heroic Core" or "Pervert Core" or "Make-You-Question-Your-Sexuality Core" or... I can go on forever.
this persona of "Rick" needs to exist, I know it's a parody of the typical action hero, but it's just so overblown and so well written it would be fun to see the world from the Adventure Sphere's point of view, where he can actually go on adventures or something.
My favorite corrupted core is the space guy because he is always pissing people off and making them yell all the time. And so far the green core was the funniest to listen to.
“Tell you what, why don't you put me down, and I’ll make a distraction. Alright, you create a distraction, then, and *I’LL* distract him from your distraction!" True facts!
I bet a lot of people would really be surprised to know that these spheres were voiced by the guy who "sounds exactly the same in every game he's in." He's actually a very talented voice actor. Devs just have taken to asking for his "Drake" voice.
Not quite. They are basically personalities added to GlaDOS's personality. Wheatley was a personality core for GlaDOS. He made her less intelligent. She wasn't an idiot without him. That was his purpose. The cores were meant to hamper GlaDOS, they aren't really natural extentions of her.
***** Yes, she is. GLaDOS, who has been disconnected from her mainframe at this point and is exploring these parts of the facility with Chell, reacts strongly to hearing Caroline's voice. She is at first unable to remember how she knew Caroline, eventually lapsing into shocked silence for a time as she comes to remember her origins. At this point, Caroline's memories and personality gradually begin to reëmerge, described by GLaDOS as a sort of conscience. Although GLaDOS remains sarcastic and abrasive, her attitude toward Chell seems to soften somewhat.
