All the Things YOU MISSED Inside Vah Medoh’s Music | Road to Rito Pt 3 

This is without doubt the best theme of the divine beasts!!! The strings, the ups and downs... It just feels like wind.

One thing I feel we can all agree on is that, between Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom, the Rito have had the best music. Love this series

The Vah Medoh quest has by far my favorite tracks of all the regions. I love that you mentioned that the ascending fourths at the beginning sounds mechanical! It has always reminded me of those arcade games where a light cycles around the hoops and you have to get the light to stop in a specific place. It’s the perfect representation of something mechanical and something also being a strategic mini game! This piece has so many nuisances and layers! That Sheikah type sound playing the opening notes to Rito Village is just *chef’s kiss*. I didn’t even realize that those were the notes until you pointed them out! Thanks for breaking it down!

6:47 I think that's the bagpipes and synth from the shrine theme. It also already had tubular bells, which were also in the shrine theme.

Any of the music in Rito village is just so beautiful. It still breaks my heart hearing the SOS and knowing how long ravioli stuck it out.

I really like how the closer you get to saving the Devine beasts the music gets more upbeat, as if the Devine beast is slowly able to free itself of Gabon’s control

I got CHILLS, man. I’d heard that there was an SOS call in this theme but couldnt hear it till you pointed it out. Vah Medoh has such a cool, haunting theme. Looking forward to more Divine Beast breakdowns!

The fact that you noticed as well that the sos theme’s pitch was in between two notes is kinda sexy 😅

I had never noticed the electronic sound behind until now and I'm musician! But you're right without headphones it's almost impossible to catch it that's why I didn't before because I didn't play BOTW with headphones

Something about this track suddenly reminded me of Golden Sun music, somehow.

The last part you mention sounding like Smash Bros, reminds me a lot of Cloudbusting by Kate Bush. Love this vid, the Medoh dungeon and its theme were my favourites from BotW.

I never understood why so many people complained about the lack of music in Breath of the Wild. It has so much great music! Thank you for doing this series. I can't wait for more!

This is one of my fav pieces in the whole ost. I’ve got a feeling that the changing time signature to 4/4 the last terminal is telling a story too. It happens for every divine beast (incl the DLC). Also, every Blight Ganon theme is in 12/8, but Calamity Ganon is 4/4. You can probably fill a video about storytelling using time signatures!

Been working on Breath of the Wild listening to this makes me want to play.....loveing this though maybe do this for the other champions and dungeons in Tears of the Kingdom

I don’t even know how many times I’ve played BOTW, but I have over 1,200 hours in the game because once I beat it I started my file over just to experience it all over again. And even with as much as I’ve played I never paid attention to the Divine Beast music and also the changes the closer you get to the end. That being said, without a doubt, the most emotional and dare I say heart wrenching piece I have heard in the game thus far. I legitimately teared up as I paid attention to the music, and with headphones actually hearing the background noise, the SOS call, the electronic signal, and the tug-of-war feeling in the strings. This game never ceases to surprise and baffle me. An absolute masterpiece.

I need a series of these videos for basically all the temples/divine beasts lol Too much work... I know... but still

Nice vid! I can't wait for you to analyze the Mipha Park theme in TOTK. It's an amazing bridge between BOTW and TOTK and and it brings a lot of memories.

Love the video as always. I know you aren’t working on videos right now so maybe you won’t be reading comments either, but if you do see this I have a small request. If or when you do an evolution of Kakariko could you make sure to highlight the glockenspiel in the breath of the wild version? It’s my favorite musical reference in the game but it can be hard for me to hear consistently since so many other things are going on simultaneously. Whether you do or don’t, thank you for the videos anyways and I hope you’re doing well in your personal life!

Absolutely love how they evolve their themes! Happens with so many places and it's so beautifully done and well crafted! Minor spoiler maybe trying to avoid: Dropping below Hyrule Castle and finding the path... oh boy that music haunts my soul ._. Same uneasy eerie feeling I got like when I was 8 and entered Forest Temple in OoT for the first time.. and second... and all of them really xD

❤ I really need to go back and play BotW again. I tend to play with the volume down or off to not be distracted by sounds and music too much, especially in dungeons/battles.. I feel like I missed out on a complete experience trying to focus visually. I will say since I started watching your series I try to have the volume up more and take in the music. Trying not to be that person who turns down the radio to look for an address 😂😂

Yall ever noticed that Marin's theme is in hyrule castle? Is this a nod from nintendo that Marin... IS... ZELDA!?!?!

One of the main takeaways from playing through TotK is how bad the critiques of BotW's music were. Yes, there's quiet piano music and reliance on environmental sounds but it has so many great tracks.

Oh boy, we're getting closer... Crazy that underneath the melody of Vah Medoh that everyone knows there is another hidden layer underneath. Almost like with the Depths... 👀👀👀

Whenever you have time, please please PLEASE cover Minish cap OST. I am a very amateur music enthusiast but I recognize that minish cap's OST is phenomenal. Like how the palace of winds theme calls back to the wind ruins theme b.c that's where the sky tribe came from, and how the escape from Hyrule castle theme calls back to other themes from your adventure (foremost being the crenel mountain theme.) And how Vaati Reborn calls back to Vaati's theme from four swords. And that's not even mentioning all the other music references to ALTTP, OOT, and Zelda I. It would be amazing to see a more mature musician's take on the OST.

The divine beast themes never fail to invoke such emotion from me. Especially this one, full of sadness and panic. But I also just love it for the music which is already beautiful, but the fact that it can make me feel such a way whenever I hear it
