@@MakeItDairyFree I honestly haven’t tried a lot of the items you mentioned. The one item I have tried and don’t agree with is the Daiya cutting board shreds. I don’t think they taste any better than their original cheese shreds 😬 However, I do buy the Daiya shreds and make a cheese sauce by adding nutritional yeast, vegan butter, cayenne, peeper, garlic powder, onion powder and oat milk (once in a while I’ll add liquid smoke).
How has it been going for you? I’m a new vegan/vegetarian I don’t know which one I want to be yet but I’m leaning towards vegan :)) I just know I’m not gonna be a meat eater 😙
I am so glad you mentioned the Country Crock butter. I usually grab the Earth Balance, but saw the Country Crock plant butter was cheaper, so I decided to give it a try. I was surprised at how good it was, because original Country Crock wasn’t very good.
Agree! Original CC is gross to me. The almond oil and avocado oil ones are my favorite! The olive oil one is ok but not as good as the other two, I don’t think.
Honestly, this video was great but I love the long version videos too. I appreciate you not reading out all if the ingredients anymore but the overall length of the other videos is fine.
Thank you guys for making great vids for everyday vegans just trying to navigate the whole lifestyle! I am totally in agreement with the Gardein products. Follow your heart makes a great shredded parmesan. Blackbird frozen pizza out of Queens NYC are delicious also. Please keep making informative and fun videos.
My son has dairy and a nut allergy..I often tell him how lucky he is growing up at this time. I can't imagine how difficult it was for folks growing up even 10 years ago with food allergies. The interest in vegan foods for consumers has helped people with food allergies...We really enjoy your channel, you folks are super relaxing to watch and very informative...you really are providing a very valuable service.
It really sucked. It sucked like crazy the whole time my son was a kid. People would not understand he was allergic to meat Yep that’s right meat. Or buckwheat or anything with the large protein. I can’t tell you how many times I caught people trying to give him meat with him vigorously fighting it off. Also people trying to sneak it into his food. One of his college mates in China mixed some in with his food it took him several days to recover and it was just what was on her chopsticks.
@@hcure4003 he was born that way. I guess with the alpha gal you have to be bit by a Lonestar tick. I’m glad it was me. That was a mom because I really am made for the job :-). Good luck.!🍀
@@rejn1420 yes I have issues with meat and was bit by a tick years ago so I always consider it possible I may have that. That's good to hear you gladly did what you needed to as a mom! Very heartwarming! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing, I'm in Florida we don't have a lot of the brands you share, but gardein we have and they are my favorite! I make my own bread, I control what is in it😊... Love your videos, keep them coming... Blessings 🙏
The pair of you have THE BEST reviews on social. They’re honest and realistic. Whenever I’m considering a new vegan product, I alway check your reviews first. 🌱💚🥰
I almost always agree with your choices, i love the fun lighthearted conversation between the 2 of you. This video was shorter than most of your videos, but i something was missing. I usually watch your videos till the end because of that light hearted nature, so don't cut that short because of time. I'm not a fulltime vegan yet, but i love that you guys show me options. Thanks
I actually work for lightlife. The company is in Turners falls Massachusetts So crazy to see how popular it really is. I never noticed it much before working there ... but they say it’s the baader-meinhof phenomenon. “When you recently learn something and suddenly it’s everywhere” Glad to see you like it!
I love the rarely seen "Ozo" brand of ground burger. I think the difference is that it is based on pea protein. The best by far. I also like "Morning Star" bacon and the grillers prime. I love, love the chik'n drumettes by "Yes" sold in Target sometimes. They are amazing!
I love your videos. Highly informative and splendidly paced. I try to avoid the vegan faux meats because they are highly processed foods, which, of course, are not healthy choices, but you have convinced me to try the Ultimate Burger. Thanks.
Great video! The moment of silence for Field Roast is on point 💯 I have been so amazed with every single product I’ve tried from them and have been telling people to give them a try for years!!👏 🔥🌱❤️
Ice cream....have ya'll not tried "So-delicious" cashew milk ice cream? It's fantastic! It's also at Wal-Mart. I recommend the chocolate cookies and cream flavor!!!
Vegan cheese is coming around! It’s funny, after going vegan, regular cheese tastes like mold for me 🤢 Also I’m curious, what do you two do with all these products after the haul? I can’t imagine y’all going through all that food on your own 😂
Loved the style of video and the pace! I’ve only been Vegan for a year and feel like I’m still trying to figure things out. It’s really helpful to hear about what tastes good and what doesn’t so I don’t have to waste my money 😆 Thank you for all the time you’ve put into your review videos and for all the recipes you’ve shared ❤️
I haven't eaten meat in 30+ years, so I do find the new burgers too 'meaty.' I like the Gardein burgers (I like anything Gardein, esp Chik'n fingers). Field Roast Apple Sage Sausage is the bomb. I like Chao and Follow Your Heart singles. I'm currently loving the Oatly Dairy-Free ice creams esp the strawberry (because I like just plain strawberry and nothing else in it). Great video, thanks.
Soooo glad your video popped up!! Totally appreciate the effort you put into this. I've been vegetarian for about ten years and am transitioning to veganism. Looks like there are going to be some amazing products for me to try. Just subbed and am looking forward to checking out your other videos. Thanks again!! 💕🌱
Not a vegan.. not sure if I can ever be.. 😬 but I love your videos and looking for ways to substitute on many kinds of foods.. I tried a few and not bad at all. Thank you for taking the time on so much information. Especially where you normally purchase them from.👌
Thankyou for your professional presentation. I was on the “fence” going vegan, but this video pushed me over the edge! I look forward to viewing your other videos.
I have tried a lot of different vegan cheeses, Sorry Daiya, not a fan at all. For slices, I love the two you have, but Violife is my new favorite brand. Have you tried their Feta? Off the chain. They also have a shredded cheddar that is the best I ever have. I also agree with Treeline for soft, and the best cream cheese is either Kite Hill chive, or Miyoko's scallion cream cheese, and their butter is also off the chain. IMO
So glad I found this channel omg!! I've been vegetarian for almost two years now, & Im trying to transition to vegan, so your videos are amazing!! Also love your vibesss
I gotta say first off, Dude, you got the face and the voice for video. Daaang! I'm just sayin' For the butter, I have to recommend making your own. Gourmet Vegetarian Kitchen has the best recipe ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DjdXc58AUgE.html This butter will blow Miyoko's out of the water, and it won't cost $8 for 8oz. Don't get me wrong, if you don't want to make your own butter then Miyoko's is the best hands down. Field Roast actually has a new hot dog called the Stadium Dog, even better and more expensive than the Frankfurters.
I'd be curious to see you guys make whole food plant based vegan meals. When I first went vegan, I gained 5 lbs because of the oils in dairy replacement vegan options. Once I learned about calorie density and how calorically dense and nutrient low oil is, I decided to cut it out and my weight is back down. Do you see yourselves trying out some "Forks Over Knives" style dishes anytime soon?
Loved this! Some of the dairy free items Country Crock , Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia-yum, and Oui are so tasty! I have to do Oat, Rice, and Soy as almonds tend not to make my tummy happy I am making a list of the other items to try as well! Your videos never disappoint! Thank you!
I think you all are spot on with most of everything. Beyond Meat is the Best one out htere and so good!. One thing you did miss was how great Gardein is! You missed 2 of their best products, the Fishless fillets and the Crabless Cakes, both so good, I fool my whole family with them and they cant believe it, they are so yummy and accessible!!!
What I like about van Leewan ice cream compared to Ben and Jerry’s is that they have more gluten free options (that aren’t chocolate, which I can’t eat)
Thank you for the suggestions! I've been all over dairy-free ice cream because I am lactose intolerant. I agree, Ben & Jerry's is the best and an extremely close second is the Avocado brand in the dark chocolate flavor! Downside, it's about $7 a pint but it is Soooo worth it! 😉
Not vegan, but former vegetarian, and thinking about going back and easing into veganism. I love the Gardein fish sticks, and Violife is my favorite cheese substitute! Also Tattooed Chef brand is good for smoothie bowls/ frozen entrees. Forager Project cashew milk yogurt is also one of my faves with some blueberries! Also Sweet Loren’s premade cookie dough is so delicious and a quick vegan cookie to either bake & safe to eat raw!
This Is Pure Gold! This is exactly what I was looking for, the variety, the presentation, the comparisons; so thank you. I know I am not the only one who appreciates you two taking the time to compose this very comprehensive list of vegan products; that encompasses virtually every category of food I and many others have been contemplating as well as a few extra categories that I didn't think are available. This more than enough to get started and I'll be sure recommend anyone new to the lifestyle or still struggling to this video and your channel ❤️
Love love love this shorter version! I love your videos but honestly I have to fast forward through a lot of them because of their length so this is just perfect for me. I don't know where I'd be without your reviews and recipes! Using your vegan choc and vanilla cake recipe for my cake pop business! Will be sure to tag you in my next posting!
Awesome review! My fiancé has been vegan for a year and a half now and we have tried soo many products. It’s funny seeing your favorites because they are so similar to ours too! Also fun fact, Portillos, a chain restaurant here in chicago, now has a plant-based hotdog that is actually good….and they use the field roast hotdogs that you guys recommend. TRUST THESE RECOMMENDATIONS, PEOPLE!
That Oui dairy free yogurt is better than any dairy yogurt I have ever tasted. The Mango is my favorite. The only con is that it's pretty much all coconut cream and very, very high in fat and saturated fat. But, it truly is the best yogurt. Cheese - I love the Chao original slices and the Smoked Gouda slices are fabulous for grilled cheese. It taste no different than dairy cheese. VioLife parmesan, whether its in the shaker or the block is the best. Again, no different than the non-dairy. So good. Also great on popcorn. I just yesterday tried the Vio Life Cheddar Block - amazing. Perfect for cheese and crackers. Tastes like mild to sharp cheddar. I did not like the Miyokos Mozzarella. It's...something is off. I think it tastes to much like cashews, maybe? I don't know. I didn't like it plain, or on crackers. Oat Planet Oat Milk unsweetened and vanilla unsweetened are my favorite non-dairy milks. Delicious. AND - no oils! Because of you guys, I' going to try the Ultimate Burger. I've not been liking the Impossible burger lately. Also - Morningstar Corn Dogs are DELICIOUS! Lol. Junk food, but still good.
Loved this video! Our families have similar tastes my kids love the Morningstar nuggets. I actually just made my own turkey deli roll it was amazing. I followed Sweet Simple Vegans here on YT's recipe and we were not disappointed. I made a Ham one as well using Orringtons vegan ham flavor and that one was bomb too.
All your picks are on Point. Except maybe the Chick'n & Nuggets category. If yll havent tried Alpha Foods Chick'n Patties & Nuggets, yll missing out. Even seen others rate them over other Products. Gotta be only second to Atlas Monroe!
Finally! Someone who admits that Vegan is expensive. I'm working hard on making Vegan meals that my wife will enjoy WITH me. And inexpensive too. This doesn't seem right that it is more expensive. Good job, loved the video. Thank you very much.
Have you tried Alpha chicken nuggets? Very good. I also liked the incogmeato burgers (although impossible are my faves). Not crazy about the ultimate burger by Gardein. I wanted to love it, but didn’t. I actually prefer their beefless burgers. You guys nailed so much of great vegan stuff! I was watching & typing to ask what state you guys were in and then you said it at the end. Lol! I have a friend in Hazlet, NJ.
I mean, come on! You two are absolutely amazing! I love love love your videos. You are so helpful. Have been vegan for a year now and couldn’t be happier. I literally go to store and can’t decide on something so I play one of your videos to help me decide. I look forward to every video! I will say though about the butter 🧈 that Miyokos coconut oil butter is the absolute best. Tried the oat milk one and it wasn’t good. Thank you for your hard work helping us out!
I’m a new subscriber and I’m on the path of transitioning into vegan-ism (if that’s a word lol) and I’ve started using plant-based food items some you have listed and some I have yet to try. I’m thankful for this video as I will look into trying out these products! I really enjoyed this video thank you so much!
New synscriber and 7 month old baby vegan! You guys have changed my life in one afternoon.... THANK YOU!! I'm struggling with pantry spices and I'm glad you mentioned the black salt and what flavor profile that it has. Hopefully I run across a video with a list of those or if you don't have one... PLEASE PLEASE DO ONE!
My son (he's 5) saw the Morning Star Mickey nuggets for the first time the other day. He screamed with excitement! Then I offered to buy them for him and he replied... "NooooOOoooOooooo" while laughing hysterically. 🤣🤣🤣🤷
The yogurt segment made me snicker. : ) Enjoyed this run-down of options; I sub to several British vegan channels and we lag behind the options there, but it's getting better, almost by the month. I am so grateful for that, because it means that people thinking about making the switch have an easier time now. Hope this year gives you every success; TFP!
Loving what you guys are doing!! I did like the speed of this one. I like a lot of the food choices. I have tried most of what you guys have suggested. Can you discuss supplements? Do you guys take supplements especially for vitamin B? Thanks for all that you guys do!!
Thanks for the feedback. We take vitamin b12 spray, a multivitamin, vegan omega supplement and magnesium. I'll try to get something together on what we take and why. but just wanted to answer quickly
I love Miyokos butter. I haven't had Dave's Killer bread. My go to is Ezekiel. I think Aldi's has a sprouted grains bread. I have tried the other yogurts but end up going back to Silk
