These are all 12 individual VHS openings to the Young Indiana Jones tapes. They have never been uploaded to RU-vid before, and they are only available on the VHS tapes. Chapters 17, 18, and 22 are all from the original tapes, but the rest are captured from bootleg DVDs that I got back in 2007-08. I plan on making a video regarding these bootlegs at some point in the future. I originally uploaded these in low quality, but since then I figured out how to rip the videos directly onto my laptop, so here they are in the best quality available. And yes, I realize the 4:3 image is stretched, but there's not much I can do there. Enjoy! 0:00 - Chapter 6: Spring Break Adventure 1:17 - Chapter 8: Trenches of Hell 2:14 - Chapter 10: Phantom Train of Doom 3:30 - Chapter 11: Oganga, the Giver and Taker of Life 4:34 - Chapter 12: Attack of the Hawkmen 5:33 - Chapter 13: Adventures in the Secret Service 6:43 - Chapter 15: Daredevils of the Desert 8:01 - Chapter 16: Tales of Innocence 9:14 - Chapter 17: Masks of Evil 10:38 - Chapter 18: Treasure of the Peacock’s Eye 11:48 - Chapter 20: Mystery of the Blues 12:52 - Chapter 22: Hollywood Follies

Thanks for the new upload. Very cool to see for fans of this somewhat forgotten show. A video regarding those bootlegs would be great!

George mentions Phantom Train of Doom to be one of his favourites, hard to argue against that one but my favourite would be Oganga, the Giver and Taker of Life. As George mentions here it is a pivotal episode for Indy's character and his psyche in regards to the war. Not to mention the expedition through the Congo. Great stuff. You got a favourite episode?

Instinctively my favorite would be chapter 18 since it came with the original movies. Sean patrick flanery is just as much indy as harrison ford is to me because i watched both of them as a kid. But as far as legitimate favorites, i would have to agree with george lucas with chapter 10. Chapter 11 is probably right behind it for me haha

My favorite was Eye Of The Peacock because Indy actually goes on a treasure hunt and it was pretty dang good.

At 2:14, The year is 1916, and World War One is raging. Young Indiana Jones finds himself headed for East Africa, as a corporal in the Belgian Army. An unforgettable adventure awaits him, as he meets up with a group of very unlikely commandos. Their mission is to find and destroy a German train, whose flatbed mounted cannon is devastating the allied troops. It won’t be an easy assignment as they prepare to meet Chapter 10: “The Phantom Train of Doom!”

Even though the tapes weren't released wished they released the foreword of the other 10. After all they planned to release the other 10 the next year.

Excellent. I had these on VHS but gave them away. I wanted them on DVD, but both the VHS and DVD were woefully lacking. I ended up getting the first season on Japanese Laserdisc. Worth it.

I remember having all of these VHS' back in the late 90s. All perfectly aligned on a shelf with their yellow sides. I absolutely loved the cover art, reminiscent of the Drew Struzan posters. Always wondered why they never did the entire series on VHS, which they eventually did on DVD. I own the series digitally now. And even today, ANY of the teenage Indy episodes are better than "Indiana Jones Meets the Space Aliens" and very likely than Indy 5 will be.

I love their designs too. I really wish they wouldve released the whole series, if they did i would have definitely bought all of em. I heard they didnt because the sales were really low, and the covers are reminiscent of the Struzan posters because im pretty sure Struzan drew/painted the Young Indy covers too! I made some bootlegs of the series that i still wanna make a vid on...
