Hey Brittany this was an amazing video thank you! Just to make sure I understand right, if you want to transfer money from your High Yield savings to your checking account, you can pick which specific bucket it comes out of right?

Yep! You create a transfer, type in how much you want to transfer, then select which bucket you want it to come out of. You can divide it up between multiple buckets if you want. If you don't specify which bucket you want it to come out of, it will come out of your default bucket. This can be set up in the settings.

Thanks for the updated video. I have used Ally for other financial services and have been very satisfied with all the tools they have. I am looking for a high interest savings account now and was interested in their 4% saving account and wanted information on what they offer without having to open an account. This video was perfect. Curious if you know anything about CitBank (not to be confused with Citi Bank)? They are offering a 4.95% savings account but have no previous experience with the institution.

I'm glad it was helpful!! CitBank vs Citi Bank is so confusing to me. I have researched CitBank this past year and it looks like a great option if you have $5,000 to keep in the account so you can earn the 4.95% interest. If you have less than $5,000 you will only earn .25% interest. I do not personally use CitBank so I can't vouch for its user friendliness, but I know of others that use it. It seems to be legit and a good option if you've got the $5k. I've toyed with the idea of testing it out, but haven't done so yet. If I do I'll share what I learn with it. If you do end up going with CitBank I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

I should add, that if you don't have the $5,000 balance to earn the higher interest rate, they have another account (Savings Connect) that earns 4.6%.

It’s a great online banking option. They’re one of my favorite.

Is each bucket FDIC insured or the whole account?

The whole account is fdic insured. Here's some info on how increase the 250K FDIC coverage: www.ally.com/stories/insurance/how-to-maximize-fdic-coverage/
