It is definitely a brutal environment - FB comments showed many people don't understand the implications of humidity (moisture in the air) and it's impact on trying to start a fire... Beck also had a near miss from a branch falling, when she was looking for a second campsite. I know from experience, even a small branch falling and hitting you, it bloody hurts. - So when that large branch dropped next to her, I was like sh!t!! - Would've been great to see more of her. The lake and snags for fishing, was just wow! I'm familiar with what we call Ghost forests in Lake Yarrunga and the Shoalhaven River, due to the dam at Tallowa. They are eerily beautiful on a misty morning - but tragic for loosing hooks and lures for someone fishing... Yep, watching Jimmy - and hearing that cough, I said to hubby, that doesn't sound good - and there ya go, it was covid-19. Hopefully, he'll be back. 😉

Thanks Shaz. Yes was hard to get that fire going that’s for sure. And yes the branches were epic. A huge limb dropped when I was waiting for the boat. It was wild. So sad to see these people go. Thanks for your support

Spoiler alert! Comparing notes after episode 1 with a work colleague, i picked mike or gina for the win (sorry Kate! I was thinking I'd never seen you hunt,fish or trap which is crucial in these shows). So glad it was Gina!

No worries at all lisa. Seeing how long they stayed I was very impressed. Was a very hard location. So bloody happy Gina won. What an absolute legend @ginachick is.

Hi Kate I have just binged watched all the episodes so far I know that it was a lot harder than you made it look but you and Gina made it look a lot easier than the men did. I was disappointed that they didn’t show more of you but still a good show. Well done.

You did well Kate. I am hoping Gina gets through. Phew drinking from a boot! It has been a challenge for all of you. I have to congratulate you for giving it a go. It was a Brutal environment. Are you still in touch with the fellow contestants? I felt sorry for Jimmy who got COVID-19. Thank you for sharing another recap Kate.
