You all keep hating on Shannon Sharp and his interviewing skills but have you all asked yourselves why folks are choosing platform. There’s clearly a level of comfort he offers that other platforms are lacking

To say that Shannon Sharpe was not intellectually equipped to handle an interview with Amanda, it is an unfair comparison. Shannon is not a trained journalist. He is a retired football player.

Amanda is exhausting. We tired.

Amanda showed us exactly who she is on Shannon’s show. She wants people to be held accountable, but doesn’t like to be held accountable. At some point she has to realize everyone else can’t be the problem.

I agree with Armon. She has to be smarter how she picks her battles. She also has to find a genuine friend and a person that loves her and will protect her from herself.

Idc what she says! My grandma used to say everybody ain’t lying on you! One or 2 people might lie but baby not 25 people. 2 things can be true at once. Yea she knows big words but that doesn’t speak for your character. Like all of us at some point some people just don’t know how other people experience them. Self awareness is a gem and invaluable!

Hosts, please do your homework! Watch the entire interview, she addressed every single question; the struggle with being misunderstood, autistic, constantly judged yet honest and authentic to the core. Sharpe did an excellent job, his responses were real and conversational. He allows his guests to tell their story instead of directing the conversation. A journalists would have limited Amanda.

HE GAVE HER A PLATFORM TO TELL GER STORY, then she turned on him. He didn’t do anything to her, stop with that BS.

Shannon chose not to push back. He wanted her to feel free to tell her story without being revictimized. He has a heart.

Armon nailed it in the head with this one. Pick and choose your battles. You don’t have to be so vocal with every single minor small flaw you’re experiencing

Armon Wiggins is 100%. He said I don’t follow her & she is to much. That was the impression just in the first 4 minuntes. You cannot self dx. I am an RN in the hospital & I remember when I started working I would have patients taking blood pressure meds they got from their cousin because they dx themself with high BP. I just accepted their answer they had high BP. Then the dr walks in & asks, did a dr tell you this or did you dx yourself. I thought that was a weird question. Then the patient states he dx himself 😯😑 wtheck! Lord have mercy 🤦🏽‍♀️ you can’t say on one hand respect my credentials then 💩 on the experts who dx neurodivergence or any mental health condition. I have no idea who this woman is & I can see she is just too much & loves drama. She needs to be checked for borderline personality because she is quite the strange one.

I absolutely believe she wasn't protected by Issa's production. I think black women can have the same treatment in multiple spaces especially if they are strong and outspoken, so I don't think the problem has always been her...I just think she may be unique in a field that wants conformity and silence.

Amanda has some growing up to do. She lacks impulse control. She has the right to her feelings and opinions but no one is obligated to engage her when she has emotionally reactive public outbursts about things. The "keep it 100" mantra is often a veil for a lack of ability to regulate your emotions and curb your impulses to immediately emotionally react. The internet will applaud you and encourage you to crash out and burn bridges. But the reality is all of this will continue to hurt Amanda in the long run because her peers are seeing that if she ever feels a way, she will go out of her way to publicly ridicule them and tarnish their reputation. That's the reason people don't want to work with her. It's not her intellect. It's the fact that she lacks impulse control and the ability to regulate her emotions. This leads to her escalating situations and ostracizing herself from people.

The Issa Rae situation happened because Issa had a publicist who was Latina who told Amanda I don’t like you and destroyed her rep and Issa did not support Amanda who happened to work for her.

I agree with the last commenter on this one! I don’t follow her, but everytime she in the news she complaining about something. That has been her reputation for YEARS. And it’s interesting the first 2 so aggressively had her back, but a few weeks ago wanted to dog Kelly Rowland out and call her an diva over that dressing room incident. The difference is Kelly has been in industry 25+ years and prior to that we have NEVER heard anything negative about her behind the scenes. Issa Rae is a darlin? Issa treats certain people nice and a complete B to others. I know from being within her group. I noticed it’s done when she feels threatened by the other person…it can be their beauty, power, or intellect. You could be complete a stranger or acquaintance….she will do it. She also likes to “randomly” embarrass people for a laugh and feel in control. Only done when it’s a crowd or small group. Never solo.

Boy, it has been some major hating on Shannon Sharpe. Every time he lands that interview with a " controversial interviewee," the hate flood gates open up from other platforms. It's just sad how 2024 has put black people on front street for the world to see how black people love to tear each other down. We have to check ourselves and do better because it's not a good look at all.

Armon is absolutely right. And I like Amanda and her activism and think she has good intentions. I think she just needs to learn to pick her battles more strategically. Not everything should be battle. Sometimes we have to adjust our perceptions of life experiences just a little bit in order to see things from different lenses and she lacks either the ability or desire to do that.

If the diagnosis makes her understand why she may be misunderstood wouldn’t it also then provide her some insight into how she may have rubbed ppl the wrong way before?

She wants it both ways. When you are self aware and not a passive person, you have to understand that you will not be a favorite and people won’t see you as a person that needs protection. You also can’t whine about people not wanting you around. People have a right to not want to be around or include you for any reason they choose. That interview only confirmed who I thought she already was.

I would ask Amanda does she believe she is self-aware. Does she consider that how she views herself may not be others experience. I used to like Amanda but after awhile it became clear that she only speaks on the negative side of EVERYTHING. I very rarely hear her talk about anything positive in society. Maybe I don't hear enough. It became too much for me when she spoke negatively about the King Richard movie on Venus & Serena's Dad. As soon as the movie was announced she jumped on IG and complained and asked why were they making a movie about the Father. She said those girls should be the first to have a movie made about them. What Amanda didn't know and maybe she would've learned had she done the research is that the girls WANTED to make the movie to honor their Father and were the Executive Producers on the movie. I know it's small but for me that's Amanda. Always jumping out to speak on the negative and she just lacks balance in her view of the world. With all that intelligence get some Emotional Intelligence!
