I've watched a lot of your videos and the way your dreads come out look so dope I started back comb and crochet locks about 3 months ago by someone that didn't know what they were doing and have a lot of broken loose hairs, I've been holding off on going into a shop for maintenance to let them lock up a little more while doing crochet maintenance to the body and tips of my dreads. hey gunther im a dread newby and i do all of my locking all by myself i have virgin hair and my prob is everytime i use my bamboo 3 automatic locks needle its puzzleling me on why my dreads keep looking like i just did them mine are like thick as my middle finger and i dont mind doing it ,but all im trying to accomplish is for my dreads to stay tight but thick at the same time , what am i doing wrong? and my hair is the same grade as yours too. PLEASE HELP

Hey Gunther, I just got your gel and crochet & I'm super excited to start doing my own locs after getting rejected by a few locticians for having straight hair. I just need a little push from you to get started. My hair is about 22" long (down to my butt). Which method should I go for and will I be needing anything else? I hope you answer quick because I want to start soon. Also, are accessories ok or will it ruin the locs?

You should find someone to just section your hair how you want it and crochet it yourself. I had someone back comb and crochet mine that didn't know what they were doing with straight hair and regret not doing it myself. If you watched his how to videos on crochet method, it's as easy as he shows. It just takes the time. Trust me 10 out of 10 wish I did my own with crochet.
