I love this banana bread! Be careful, or you'll accidentally eat the whole thing all at once. This recipe is totally whole food, vegan, oil free, SOS free (no added salt, oil, or sugar)! Like I mentioned in the video, you might want to add a little more flour, the dryer the batter when it goes into the pans, the more like bread it will be. Hope you love it!

To make 2 loaves 1/4 c flax seed, ground 3/4 c water Combine and set aside 4-5 c whole wheat flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp baking powder Combine and set aside In food processor 10 ripe bananas 10-15 DEGLET dates 1 tsp vanilla (more is ok) Process 1 min or so to get dates combined 1 c walnuts, crushed Combine all ingredients Line 2 pans w parchment paper Bake 350 F for one hour. Check for doneness.

Hey Dillon. I used to always fight with parchment paper fitting into pans. Then someone told me to Crunch it all up in my hands and then open it up. It fits a lot better and I don't fight with it as much. Thanks for the recipe! Making it tonight.

Hi, someone said to wet the pan and then the parchment paper will stick by itself. It helps for me!

Yes that’s what I do., as long as the paper isn’t too thick. You can also wipe the pan with water to dampen, cut the paper at corners so it can wrap (overlap) and fit pan neatly.

So I have been making this banana bread for some time, and I usually substitute 1/2 cup soaked and then pureed raisins for the dates because I always have those handy. I was recently looking for a way to use up the zucchini in my garden and substituted it for the bananas in this recipe and it was awesome! I used One Degree Organic sprouted whole wheat flour and also doubled the amount of raisins to 1 cup because I thought it wouldn't be sweet enough and it worked pretty good. Might need some tweaking, but overall it was good. Thanks for this awesome recipe inspiration!

I had no idea that you were on You Tube. I have been following Dr. McDougall, all the others plus chef AJ. It wasn’t until I watched her video on your SOS sauces that I discovered you. I ordered the sauces right away since the sauces in Hawaii are very salty, sweet and can contain oil. I received your sauces today and I am so excited to try them. thank you for your products, recipes and websites.

I bought some American made pans on Amazon and I don't need parchment. If I let it cool for 20 minutes or so it comes right out. Best purchase ever!

Hi Dillon. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Especially the editing notes so ur viewers have it just right in one attempt. On ur flax eggs am i right in thinking the 1/4 cup flax (meal) w 3/4 cup water is equivalent to 2 eggs? I am wanting to use this sub in other recipes.....THANK YOU DILLON!

Make sure you check the label to see how much sodium is in the baking soda------For people who are closely watching, this could make a big difference! Looks good----I'm gonna' give this a try----I love that you use only bananas and dates to sweeten!! :)

Thank you Dillon, been needing a recipe that doesn't use maple syrup or coconut sugar and this is right on time. I'll definitely be using oat flower along with some whole oats in my version and I'll be using this recipe as a starting point. Btw, I'm not sure if your baking soda and baking powder will actually have any rising effect without some apple cider vinegar in there. Thank you for posting, can't wait to try it!

Because I can't leave recipes alone I'm going to try it with cacao powder in it, and maybe some peanut butter swirled into the top... chocolate banana bread with peanut butter 🤷‍♀️ only time will tell if it's a good idea lol

If you want your parcement paper to stay better in place take your peace and make a little ball from it in your hands. Then open it up again and place it in the loaf pan. It will stay better in place and is easier to handle when filling your loaf pan

Sure anything to mash up the bananas. I've also blended oats to make oat flour so I imagine you could do the flax in it as well although its a smaller amount so not sure. You will need that stick to push it down though as long as you have that tool.

Now that is an easy recipe. Dillon, invest in some silicone loaves or u can wet the parchment paper so it sits in ur loaves. Let it cool while he burns his mouth ahahah Ps- my mum loves u and u saved her from all the WFPB confusion , so thanks

From the moment the famous monster spoon made an appearance, I was laughing. Or did it begin with the super bendy bananas? Either way, who doesn’t need banana bread in their lives??? Sick people... the kind the world doesn’t understand... Thanks, Buddy! I currently have 10 overly yellow-green bananas on the counter that I give gnarly disagreeable looks to in hopes my negative energy encourages them to develop spots soon. Ahahahaa! (I keep sending my daughter to the shop to see if they have more mature ones 🤣) This recipe isn’t different from your other one, is it? I’ll be making “muffins” rather than bread from those stubborn bananas but your recipe works both ways. I still have 5 (yes, I counted them) oat clusters in the freezer. They should hold me over until I break those bananas. HA! As always, thanks for being you, Dillon! 😘

Hi...just a note...when you add seeds and nuts....the bread is not oil free..... because as we know they contain oil... also consider not heating nuts and seeds because the oils they contain become rancid...

This is not what is meant by oil free. Oil free means no added processed oils. Virtually all foods have at least some fat so by your definition there is simply no such thing as oil free.
