Amazon Fired me from the Amazon Associates Program Why? 

Captain….you are a stand up guy of great character which comes across in your channel. Amazon needs to revisit their policy and reverse their decision. You were and are a great representative for them as your work is second to none!! Truly a great craft person.

Amazon is too big to care, screw them. Partner up and promote local shops instead.

Stay safe captain and by all means don’t let that corporate greedy company piss you off ,, Amazon use to be a pretty great deal but when your prime membership stopped receiving overnight deliveries and when they bought out the rights to the NFL games on Thursday nights I said screw them, they are definitely going in the wrong direction at least in my eyes. But that’s corporate America at its best and for all those people that will say OH BUT WAIT, they employ so many people, we’ll talk to those people that work there and they will give you a complete wake up call to their work practices.

In 2022 Amazon avoided paying over 5 Billion in Federal taxes and we're the idiots who let them get away with it and someone needs to come up with another platform. Your videos are great and you're a stand-up guy and much respect to you.

I’m a Amazon affiliated my self too but since they dropped their commissions so much I stopped using them too, only buying from them what I can’t get from anyone else and it’s urgent otherwise I developed a new way to plan ahead and order from the small local business and by the time I’m back from my trip everything is arrived whatever is for my boat, cars or house. So keep your head up and look after yourself.

Hi Capt.... I'm sorry to hear all this. Like some others, I too buy from Amazon, but I am sure I'm not one of their big customers, as I also order from Walmart and many other smaller companies. It makes me sick to hear how Amazon has treated you, (and probably many others). It's not a surprise that a company like Amazon is not true to their word; shows lack of integrity on their part. You are the epitome of the entrepreneurial spirit and I admire you for that. I'd say this issue is a bigger loss for Amazon than for you but I know Amazon is so huge, and that losing even a Thousand accounts would be nothing more than a grain a sand to them..... Captain. I worked for Amazon as a delivery driver and they drop workers like no tomorrow for absolutely no reason. Even there Amazon flex drivers also. They just turn off there app so drivers can no longer do deliveries. With zero explanation

Delivery trucks run up and down my street all day, Land fills full of packing materials. Long term, it's probably not in our best interest.

Damn captain I’m sorry to hear what you had to go through. I have Long believed that when people become wealthy it amplifies who they really are. Generous people become more generous and ruthless people become more ruthless. Personally, if I was one of the richest people in the world, rather than continue to accumulate wealth that I can never spend I would rather distribute some of it amongst my employees to keep them happy. All of my employees made me wealthy, so why not do the same? I’m sure that people still have an interest in the products that you use so maybe you can just list what the product is but not as a link through Amazon. For instance, if somebody likes your dive knife, then just tell them what type it is and they can go buy it somewhere. Also, if vendors kept their prices on the lower side, they would have a lot more business diverted from Amazon to them. I really enjoy your channel and I’m sorry that you got screwed. Astonishing Amazon is driving out affiliates like you. Even more surprising they did it so abruptly and without a way to talk to someone at Amazon about it. I'll be amazed if Amazon stiffs you for the $1500 they owe you but I guess it could happen.

You certainly have explained your affiliation with Amazon on numeroius occasions, find alternatives as we all are, we all need to support the small business Amazon has a business plan for the future and it looks like it does not include affiliates. I lose significant revenue being demonetized by RU-vid, which is more of a risk with a hunting channel, but have always steered clear of the Amazon affiliate program…. It never seemed a justifiable return on the effort. At the end of the day these (Amazon, RU-vid, etc) are all private businesses that have a right to conduct business the way they want, but it’s the lack of transparency and arbitrary application of their guidelines that I find irritating. Enjoy your channel and hope you find ways to continue monetizing it…….. even if it’s something you love doing, it takes a lot of work!

That said, I watch your channel for the content, not the links, but I would gladly support any non-Amazon vendor that you recommend, even if the cost is a little higher.
