Excellent video. Does "girl tight" equate to about 2 Nm ? I have a torque wrench for my mountain bike as I am one of life's gorillas when it comes to tightening things.

Hi and thank you! After I made the video the factory came out with torque specifications. "Girl Tight" is 1.8nm for the 4.0/4.36 battery & 1nm for lid screws, 3nm for the blade and blade motor mounting screws except on the 4.0 they want 3.5nm for the blade. They want a stronger torque on the wheel motor mounting screws and wheel bolt - 6nm, but only 2nm on the center shaft screw. Robots with the clam chassis, they want 3nm for the chassis screws. Small robots, like L20, other than the blade, the strongest torque is 2nm for the wheel shaft screw. The rest are 1.0-1.2. They also specified Blue Loctite, however, we have had issues with it being too strong. We have used Green for many years and no problems. If you choose Blue, use a very small drop. Never use Red. Btw, there is another version of this video where the only difference is I talk about cleaning the contacts.

Wow, your explanation really gave me a better insight as to the complexity and necessity of yearly thorough maintenance, which I formerly thought as quite expensive. More I understand why, to preserve the robot and 6 year warranty on elite models. I have not yet bought an Ambrogio. I'm pondering about buying either an Elite 4.36 model or the new Elite Quad. I do like the radar intelligence of the quad, but am a bit uncertain about this new technology for Ambrogio, software support, and the maintenance it requires. What would your advice be? We have an area of about 4500-5000 sqm but are thinking about sheeps (that will take about 1500sqm off). (girl tight is something that will now permanently stick in my vocabulary btw:))

Hi, Sorry for the delay in my reply and thank you for the complements! 4.36 is definitely a good choice and it includes the 6 year warranty. Quad does not show the warranty as being available, which I have to assume is intended. We sold some Quads and they have been working great so far. They do not have the extended warranty option, though.
