In this food travel vlog, my dad, Trang, and I try arguably Hanoi’s most famous dish: Bún Chả Hà Nội. We eat this dish at a very famous restaurant in the Hoan Kiem District of Ha Noi.
The exact name and location of the restaurant are:
Bún Chả Hàng Quạt
74 P. Hàng Quạt, Hàng Gai, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội
The restaurant is only open from 10am-2pm each day. Limited opening times at a restaurant are usually an indication that the food is really good.
The dish consisted of barbecued pieces of pork sausage, pork belly, vermicelli rice noodles, fish sauce, and pickled papaya. We also enjoyed the dish with a side order of “nem” which is known as chả giò in the South of Vietnam. Cha gio are deep fried spring rolls.
