UPDATE: I made banana pancakes two days ago and did the egg white folding technique and I must say, those were the lightest, fluffiest pancakes I've ever made!! They weren't as dense and they completely melted with every bite. I will always make them this way from now on.
@@PaykoeTsunami93 I always use two eggs in my standard recipe so all I did was separate the whites from the yolks, blended the whites until they were stiff peaks and folded them in at the end. It really made a difference.
Everyone outside of the US loves to write off any culinary contributions that it's made over the years, but Diner Food as a concept is up there with the very best in the world. And because it's so ubiquitous across the country, the staples have been polished to perfection, and you get regional delicacies everywhere. So damn good!
"Diner food" is literally just breakfast stuff, sandwiches and some fried shit. The "concept" and variations of it, has existed for millennia in pretty much any country lol I will admit pancakes are amazing(which are not even of american origin btw lol)....and that's about it. Unless there are non-anglosaxon contributions, american food is pretty much a variation of british crap, and that food is terrible, so there's not much to appreciate when you have tasted anything else from any other cuisine.
@@DeadKraken Diner food is an entire concept of food cooked to order, quick and in a DINER. Diner food is not juat breakfast. Every diner is different. Diners have the best coffe!
I can't watch this anymore, but I know I coming back to look at those beautiful golden brown pancakes. I wish I could eat as many as I want and kept a flat stomach!!!
Do weight training 4-6 workouts 3 sets each with 8-12 reps and add 30min cardio 3-5 times a week. Then you can enjoy these delicious pancakes every Sunday morning 💪🏽😁
this is insane. the one time i visited NYC during Christmas, I had already done and seen everything I had already planned. I then planned to walk the Brooklyn bridge and picked THIS place to eat because it was in the vicinity. What a treat!
I’ve had this blueberry pancake when I visited NY last Oct. I don’t even like pancakes but everyone insisted so I got it cus of peer pressure & indecisiveness. I almost put in a 2nd order as soon as I finished.🙀 It was stupid good.
@@sycamore2789 It's annoying to hear people exaggerate that "EVERYONE told me to blah blah blah"---when they are just weak and can't take responsibility for anything.
Real ingredients, generously employed to create rich delightful dishes out of local & farm fresh supplies. If you advertise pancakes, make the best pancakes possible. Slow food is back. Thank the heavens, where James Beard & Julia Child are looking down & smiling.
Thankyou for taking the time to record and edit and upload and share this video about "American Food - The BEST BREAKFAST PANCAKES and FRENCH TOAST in New York City! Clinton Street Baking." It's Brilliant ! I am amazed that such finger licking good food is so affordable in New York !

You have the best pancakes because the batter is the right ingredients for the perfect taste congratulateson 🎊 👏 💐 you guys nail it right I'm a Chef Lonny Tirri. 😋
I remember watching Bobby Flay battle against the owner of this restaurant! It was a battle of blueberry pancakes, and Bobby Flay actually lost! Ever since then, I dreamed about one day trying these for myself! About 3 years ago I traveled to New York and I got my chance! As good as I had dreamed if not better. Y’all have to try them.
Next time I mazke pancakes I'm going to do the folding in egg whites technique. I always blend in the eggs whole but I will separate them and see if they come out even more fluffier than usual. I love french toast as well. That Bananas Foster topping looked amazing.
Try this recipe from Tobias Young’s channel. Seems to come very close. Dry ingredients: 2-1/2 cups of all purpose flour 1/4 cup of sugar 1 tsp of salt 2 tsp of baking soda 2 tsp of baking powder Wet ingredients: 1 stick of melted butter, unsalted 1/2 cup of whole milk - room temp 2 cups of buttermilk - room temp 2 egg yolks 2 egg whites Vanilla bean paste or extract
@@glorygal5916 Yip, that's it. Have to remember to only just fold the mixture together and resist the temptation to beat the crap out of it! Lumps are good👍
Watching this just brings the child out of me 😉 Pancakes are like a dessert for me. The French Toast has a different spin on it. Those apples were dry. If a top had been placed on the pan, the apples woulda released their juice for a syrup. And that lil cup of syrup on the plate…Imma need 3 more of those.

what about the words "buttermilk pancakes" or "blueberry pancakes"? do those words increase your drool factor, or does it stay the same? And what if I added the words "maple butter syrup"? Would you then need a bib?

I'm on keto, and I can feel the sugar rising in my blood just watching all the deliciousness!!! Wow that looks yum. I wonder what they dipped the thick bread into (egg & milk mix maybe). Yum!
I absolutely love how good these look, definitely gonna try making those bananas nut pancakes at home. I have one major concern though with the whole pancake ordeal. Nuts are being made next to other pancakes, I hope it isn’t gonna affect someone else that has a tree nut allergy since the same spatula is being used and gloves aren’t being changed.
In the fine print on the Menu they tell you that the food is prepared in an area where nuts are in close proximity to other foods & to consider that before ordering
