I found some of the longest German words and I'm putting my skills to the test to see how well I can pronounce them as an English speaker!

I love when you speak German at the beginning of your videos. I'd like to hear you speak more German in your videos. (I'm studying Italian and Dutch.)

These words are all not used in common daily language. They are actually selected and tackled together to be long and stress German-learners out ;-)

You do well. These words are not regular ones. It gets easier when you cut them in the single words they are composed of. Let us Germans say these words three times fast, most will trip over as well. Even Germans avoid many consonants in a row, but they exist.

I am look forward to it! I admire the fact you are attempting to even pronounce these German words. When I speak in German to a German, I avoid saying the most difficult pronounced words.

I agree the "r"s, the umlaut a, e, and especially the o are the hardest to pronounce. There is a lot of using the back of the throat, and shaping your mouth in a circular way to properly pronounce the words. It's very awkward for me from California. 😨 Great video! You are brave to pronounce the words.

let me say first that your pronounciation is very good. Your contest speaking difficult german words remembered me of this little precious. It's the prologue to Christian Morgenstern's "Galgenlieder" (gallow songs). The author tries his best to drive the difficulties of the german language to the extreme. The language is a bit outdated, but still amusing. Have fun. www.oppisworld.de/morgen/galgen.html

Serwas Lieblingsnachbarin, Kraftfahrzeug (KFZ) means any kind of car/ motorcycle. Gesellschaften means the whole bunch of insurances in total not a specific one. Donau/ Danube is the name of the river the ship's of the companies are driving on. Correctly written is the word with three letters of f in the middle. Nice video, well done 👍 You are the Thursday evening video bonbon very entertaining.🍭🍬🤭😋

your pronounciation was great. but really, some of the words were just... ridiculous... almost no one in Germany would just causually drop them in some conversation. Many of them were quite difficult legal terms, where even native Germans struggle to pronounce AND understand them. And in Germany there is almost anything possible if it comes to the lengths of a word. You can kind of glue different nouns together to get a whole new word where other languages would use an entire sentence to describe the same.
