Looks nice. I Had an xj4.2 from 1972-85, replaced her with a DeLorean. That 72 was one of my all time favorite cars I’ve ever owned. Miss that old gal !! Now I own a 03 XJ

I bought one of these for $750 from an auction in Dallas… in 2006. Chevy 350 swap as well. I miss that car so much. People were afraid to bid because no one could figure out how to lift the hood up 😏

Original engine or not - the Jaaaaag looks great and by the look of it is also more reliable to use - if only British Leyland had put in as much effort to be efficient as they did to be incompetent !!. You've done an excellent job and saved a classic from the scrap yard .

Looks nice, I was expecting the Interior to be over the top, but this is tasteful. Only thing I don't get and I'm probably the only one who dislikes it, is the lowering but that's my gripe with almost all built cars. Sure it might look 1% cooler but unless you're on the smoothest racetrack it's simply worse.

I’d love it finished off just as it is. But then the young guys just keep going.I used to and I still find myself dreaming. Just the fact that it is still surviving rust wise is marvelous. Oh to be in America!

That 350 definitely has more than 150 crank horsepower I just bought a 73 today for two hundred bucks complete an original it needs some work but for $200 you really can't complain

I wouldn't even mind an EV made out of a classic salvaged Jag. 1) There are enough of mint Jags with their original engines sitting in garages, in case any of the purists wanted to own one 2) You don't need to worry about denting the car, because it doesn't have the collector's value anymore 3) Also no need to worry about adding those pesky miles 4) As long as the battery doesn't burst into flames 🔥🔥🔥 there is waaaaay fewer moving parts in the car, hence the life expectancy of such car goes up significantly *5) Car guys like me get to see more interesting cars in the streets!*

Satin black the grill, door handles, bumpers and anything chromed. Tint your windows.

I have one same wheels. Bumpettes look cool. They are heavy and a cruiser not a racecar dont forget. If you wanna lighten it up put a lithium battery in it save 20kg. When the tanks rust out in the rear put a fuel cell were the spare wheel goes. Other things you can do. You can put light sport seats in them. List goes on. Your ride you decide good luck!
