I totally respect your opinions and choices, as any free democratic citizens are entitled to. However as an Australian and therefore an American Allie, I’m seriously disturbed that any person would vote for someone who is convicted for sexual assault, on 91 criminal charges, brags about taking away women’s rights, degrades disabled reporters and doesn’t want to be seen with injured veterans and called them losers? How could anyone be ok with such disgusting comments? I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who spoke like that little own supporter them as president of the USA!

The frustration people from other countries have is that the leader of America is consequential to them too.. poor leadership in America can create local instability. Adding to this, people from other countries frequently know more about American politics than Americans do. Which is incredibly frustrating. I guess the best way to put it is that with great power comes great responsibility. We just want American voters to be responsible 😊 and learning about your politics is important.

If you don’t care about politics, how can you make an informed decision on who’s the best leader of your country? I know you said you don’t care about politics because you’re too busy concentrating on paying your bills and everyday life…but the things is that they are politics. Laws and regulations surrounding how utility companies can profit-determined by the government. Regulations and laws on your employment and your employer-determined by government. Tax on fuel-regulated by government. What is put in your water, food, drink, rivers, oceans and soil-regulated by government. The value of the dollar-determined by the stability of your government. Laws around reproduction-determined by government. Legal loopholes that allow for the possibility that a woman may face prosecution because she had a miscarriage-made by government. What books can be in your public and school libraries-determined by government. There is little to no part of your everyday life that hasn’t been touched by government, whether that be local, state or federal. They are the ones that decide how much tax you pay on your earnings and how much tax you pay on your purchases and what is exempt from taxes. They determine how much you can be shafted by your employer and how much of a safety net you’ll have if they go too far…and you don’t get a say in what you want changed if you don’t use your vote. That same vote that only 60 or so years ago black men and women were willing to risk physical attacks and death to make use of. Don’t make a mockery of the sacrifices your grandparents generation and all of their ancestors made, so that you can vote whilst, in general, experiencing the same level of safety as everyone around you.

At least social media is forcing mackenzie to hear the other side away from family influences. Shes young & people can change and learn more especially if dating a black guy. (Even if he doesnt really take politics seriously). Lets not forget how Trump treated BLM after George Floyd and Charlotesville. If you're worried about paying your bills, that is directly correlated to the politics in your country, as are a lot of things in every other nation on Earth. I truly despise Trump, but in all fairness, we’re not there in the environment and the overdose of media influence. There’s much more to take in and process than we, for instance, have in Australia. Yes, there are stupid attitudes, but I feel most people are overworked and time poor, definitely a worse work / life balance than we have in Oz, with far more people having 2 Jobs as the norm. They also actively have conditions and Laws that deter people from voting, usually in more liberal minded areas. That together with the constant stream of misinformation, I don’t think it’s entirely fair to make unequivocal judgements about good people like these guys many are doing on here. Of course it’s great to talk about it, it should be talked about, it matters to the rest of the World too. But casting these sort of aspersions isn’t necessary.
