yeah but red beans are meant to be sweet...when you mince them up it is like a bean paste...cocoa bean is used to make chocolate yes but only when mixed with other things...on their own they are bitter as fu£$...that is why dark chocolate can taste nasty.

Ri Gil fresh red bean paste is basically red beans cooked with sugar. Its very sweet. It's not that weird since chocolate comes from cocoa beans... you just harvest the cocoa butter and etc and add sugar and other things to make chocolate. I hope you get to try it one day... and a quality red bean paste at that. Look up the word wagashi on google... and you will be enveloped in a world of bean paste and mochi confectionary. Some desserts use it with ice cream, some put it in waffles and top with whipped cream, some add it in mousses (even in france), and some are used to fill dumplings or even bread!

One of my friends who was a foreign exchange student from Japan, brought a lot of Kit Kats that his parents sent. He shared it with my main group of friends and I really liked this whitish one, forget which one. I love this other candy that is almost like a really squishy/resilient gummy type thing. Almost like gum. It came in flavors like cherry, lime, lemon, grape.

This likely has something to do with the Kit Kat translation. Nestlé had no idea when they launched Kit Kat in Japan that it sounded similar to a Japanese phrase "You will win" (or something to that degree.) -- Parents started buying them as gifts to their children before exams and Nestle made a huge fortune totally by accident. It's likely the reason they have so many different flavours and fancy packages, because Kit Kat is has a more significant meaning in Japan.

Red bean paste is delicious. I'm a little weary of pairing it with Kit Kats, though; it's already sweet enough on its own. But why is another country doing better at Kit Kat's than we are? Seriously, send some love over here. I want the tea flavored Kit Kat in stores immediately.

Depending on where in the US you live, they are in some stores. They're at my local Japanese market but you could also find them in novelty candy shops. You can also get them on Amazon!

I would love to try the apple ones. I am going back to Japan in April so will be filling my suitcase with kitkats. The best one I have tried so far is matcha and sakura (cherry blossom), oh and the oolong is amazing too!

My favorite Japanese kitkat flavor was when they did Calpis. Not a huge fan of the actual drink but the kitkat had this light, almost citrus-y flavor that was really tasty!

Red bean paste consists of a bean mixture with sugar that tastes really sweet and yummy. How did they go wrong with the kitkat? No clue. I thought they were going to like it based upon my past experiences with red bean paste.

The tea flavored is my all time favorite. It's the best combination of pearl milk tea (without the pearls) and chocolate. SO GOOD. If you haven't tried it yet, do it.

Hoji cha is a roasted green tea, and I LOVE anything with it, make it a Hojicha latte, ice cream... Hell yes Hojicha kitkat sounds amazing... I'm glad everyone in the video liked it :) I need to try one if I find it...

There was this asian market, and it sometimes sell green tea kitkat, around 12 kitkats for 6.99... It sometimes poof, and sometimes being ready to be sold in the store, I always get them whenever it in the store ^_^

in Asia ( mainly Japan and Korea) people eat alot of red beans and red bean paste. a Korean dish is called Patbingsu and is red bean shaved ice.
