Wonderful song! The singer is Magnus Carlson, I love his voice. His friend Freddie Wadling sang this song in "Så mycket bättre" and Magnus was crying through the entire song listening to the replay. Freddie should have been on Så mycket bättre, but was too sick and passed away. RIP.
Please react to E-type with "Set the world on fire". He really deserves a reaction, being at the top of the swedish music scene all through the 90's. Really entertaining channel btw 👍
Ah yes, this is their evergreen, they always sing this as the last song in all their gigs, and I'll never tire of it. Or any of their songs! Can't believe I've been a fan for 24 years
Never have I seen so many grown Swedish men cry at the same time as at a WW-concert singing along to this song. When the bridge hits and the “why did you lie?”-line comes there was some serious bawling going on. No choreo moves on stage though. They are after all Swedish ;)
I think you should react to Weeping Willows song ”Blue and alone”, it is well known amongst many swedes since it is a part of a tv show called Pistvakt.
"touch me" is the big one with this group. i'm sure their fans have a bunch of favourites but touch me is the song that made people recognize them as a band imho
Love your reactions man, good fun watching! He really is very impressive and the music is overwhelming, great to see you enjoy so many different genres of music.
My parents knew one of the members and we went to see them just as this came out and I remember someone saying "det är inte många band som har en så bra sångare" While I'm typing, please do more Thåström 😊
Fattaru - Mina Hundar is a fun classic, vid is trippy and cool also. Great rapping in it. Btw, should do Jakob Hellman again! "Vara Vänner" is def a classic!
They are brilliant live, but not a lot of dance moves:-) Magnus is mostly singing, and he seems like a really nice guy. If you want another song where his singing really comes alive then try "Blue and alone". Today his voice is more mature, but still among the best.
Beagle - The things that we say Stakka Bo - Here we go Rednex - Cotton eye Joe Ace of Base - The sign Olle Ljungström - Tysk indian Loreen - Euphoria Robyn - Dancing on my own
This is a band I haven't really listened to, but this sure is a great song and I love your reaction! As for next episode, that's a total questionmark for me, but I've seen the request several times so I guess I will learn something new. When it comes to swedish hiphop I think Petter is the big name, so one suggestion is "Det går bra nu" which is a big hit by him. Repeating also my request of "När löven faller" by Carola.
I can't see that you have reacted to Titiyo yet. Please do! Swedish queen of soul, with African roots (her dad was from Sierra Leone). Maybe her first hit, Talking to the Man in the Moon?
Great group! But you have to react to "Secret service" the best popgroup Sweden have delivered. "Flash in the night" "Ohh Susie" are 2 of the greatest songs, butall are good!
Check it out!
Ok I've been thinking about this for way too long because I wasn't sure how to put it, but after what you said in the beginning here about Swedes being good at English I hope this is my queue :D You mentioned once that a fan approached you at the comedy club and they spoke Swedish, which you appreciated "because we are in Sweden", as you said. Hinting that many unnecessarily speak English to you, I assume. But I think a big reason why we are fairly good at English is because we like to speak it, I know I personally get overjoyed inside every time I am approached by English speakers whether at work, a party or whatever, just because I get an excuse to use it. Same reason I'm not writing in Swedish now even though I know you could read it. It also feels more natural to use the same language as the person you're talking to, if possible. Or no?
So sad he's cheering for Hammarby (jokes), but honestly one of Swedens top singers period ever period. For some reason this song always makes me think of the righteous brothers. Good choice to react to, ty for content that's both uplifting and bringing back the classics!
Where do we post suggestions on ”Classics”? Here? 😀 One, quite new song (not yet a classic 😉) by Jill Johnson and Robin Stjernberg - Miles of Blue!! Would love to hear your reaction on that one 👍🙏
I wish you would have a go at Lisa Miskovsky and her "Stardust" och "Mary", after that please listen to Rebecka Törnquist singing "Mary, Mary" and "Good Thing"
*Infinite Mass - No 1 Swartskalle* Just watched your Mr Cool reaction and this one's also from 2004. There's not an abundance of hip-hop in this series, and similarly was a big rap-pop hit at the time (obv not quite as big as Mr Cool, but still on SR's top 100 for the year). I think you would have fun with the song's theme, and it's in English so you could probably watch the video (if you can find it) at the same time.
Blue and alone och Touch me i så fall.
Please listen to Juanita, Tusind bitar or du er det skønneste jag ved by Bjørn Afzelius. He was more famous in Denmark than Sweden, and I went to several concerts in Aalborg in the early 1980s. Thank you for a great show. Åse
Well.... Magnus Carlsson of Weeping Willows could sing the phonebook... Feel free to pick; We're in different places now Your eyes Let go Det värsta av allt Or Eternal Love witch is a cover of a Jill Johnsson melodifestivalen song
Everything you love! ;)
Well, commercial success means something, it means you will quickly earn a lot of money. :) But it's far from the deciding factor in what makes a song a classic. To become a real classic, there must be something deep within the song that speaks to everyone, and that is rarely the same thing that propels a song up the charts. A commercial success often only tells you it has a good surface, not the depth of it. :)
@@JonathanRollinssthlm305 I know that I already suggested Tommy Nilssons Dina färger var blå, thats my favourite. But to be honest Öppna din dörr is moore of a classic, but maybe you've heard that one...
