Folks, F & F are playing outdoors on a friggin' patio with car racing back-and-forth.........and put out an absolute masterpiece performance! Very few bands, past or present, can do what F & F can do, especially live! Tim always puts so much passion and energy when he performs.........the harmonies add to the vibe.........the guitar work is outstanding! This reminds me of Lucy Thomas performing "My Heart Must Go On" in front of some grey drapes with a microphone.........and then proceeds to deliver one of, if not THE best, versions of this ever performed!
@@lynwessel2471 Yes, years ago I asked the question,"how can you guys do this so well without even one rehearsal". The reply was that all the bands know this song after playing it for years, but Sammie had never heard it. So Tim just told her the lyrics and when to come in and she just winged it. Duh! To my ears she did it perfectly. I,m continually amazed at the talent of these people.
@@richardg7445 Nobody Love was a new song to everybody accept Sammie, maybe Chase. Tim had serious reservations about doing it, but trusted everyone would learn it on their own.
They’re from the Smyrna, Georgia area, check out their website for bios and the book ‘Ear Candy’, written by Paul Caranci and Sammie Purcell, the harmony singer on this video.
@@lynwessel2471 Lyn...Bless Your ❤️. You have been such a constant support for new subscribers to F&F. I found them in 2018 and I remember you providing so much helpful info. THX!
I have a daughter with down syndrome - her name is Emme. I sing this to her at least 5 days a week - in the kitchen - in the garage - in the car - she smiles a big smile and grins ear to ear.
@@redrocks1983 Nothing in the planning stage yet. Johnny said in an interview yesterday that they would like to do a show if they could find someone to take care of the venue and planning and ticketing , merchandise etc, so all they would have to do is play. It was a huge undertaking for Tim and Maggie to manage the entire process themselves last time. They have discussed the idea of some sort of destination weekend event at an oceanside resort.
What's so incredible about this group of talented singers and musicians, they can take you to yesterday five years ago, and oh yes, they can take you back to 60 years ago. Now that is talent and they do it all with perfection. My # 1 group of all time.😀
@@deibertmichael Vince Gill was NOT the original vocalist on this song. He joined the band about 3 years after its release. Craig Fuller was one of the founders of PPL and sang lead on the original Amie. Vince Gill did do a great job with the song though.
My mom named me after this song and I grew up with really bad asthma would be in the hospital all the time and my mom would sing this to me to calm me down during my breathing treatments and I'll forever cherish that memory of me and my mom I sure did get lucky having her as a mom. This is a great cover
I enjoy your music so much I forget about my pain. After being hit by a car 3 separate times in my life, 25 surgeries pain never stops. God bless you from north of Wisc Dells, Wisconsin.
I used to be the house Bass player for a local Bar and one of the people I used to play with until his death was named Joe and he had a substantial claim to helping write this song. I miss him very much, when I was warned not to screw up he was very forgiving of my musical sins at that time. I have had such wonderful Mentors in my musical life.
I simply can't say enough about the abilities of this group! Kudos to Tim for conceiving of it and to Sammie, Maggie, Chase, Darwin and all the members...What a group!!!
Did you ever wonder how many people found this band through this one song. They song is a gateway to all your music for people who are a little older love this song
A lot of people through this one and many thousands through Suite Judy Blue Eyes, which was posted 7 years earlier and had about a half million views head start.
I'll tell ya, whoever set up your sound mix is a genius! Every instrument and voice is audible and nothing is washed out or overwhelms!! Spectacular!!!
My Girl's Favorite Prue Prairie League Song. Thank You F & F!! R.I.P. Scott. Our Hearts go out to you ALL🥰😇😢 in your time of Grief & Loss. You Folks are the BEST THING ON RU-vid! Please Carry On! Peace & Love from an "Old Hippie" who was growing up in CO when this was NEW! ❤🩹💯
Wow. This takes me back. Its kinda weird how a song or a certain smell can make you think of something you haven't thought of for 50 years. I wished I could give this a million likes
I will never understand the talent given to very good singers; remembering every word, keeping time, playing an instrument while singing, staying on key. Wonderful version of Amie. Thank you!
The musicians knew the song from years before , but this was unrehearsed. Sammie had never heard the song. Tim went thru the backing vocals with her while they were setting up.
@@lynwessel2471 These are the kinds of stories that need to be collected for a F&F version of the history of their performances and videos. Ear Candy II: In the headphones. :)
@@russherrell9225Tim talked about it in the documentary. I agree, the only thing really missing from the book was little stories of things that happened when they were performing.
Never had a band that could make me smile and cry at the same time. Your musicianship and vocal harmonization, tears me up😂 every time. Love you guys.🤗
OMG, I was just feeling the exact same feeling......over joyment.......tears.....missing Scott.....and just love. And thats with EVERY SONG. Thank you for feeling the same.
Wow is not even close. Guy on mandolin kicked arse n every instrument n singing was that side of perfection, enjoyment, n soothing n to say the least, awesome. America needs this. America was born on this type of values with God’s guidance. Plain simple n appreciated
I was playing in Oklahoma in a small club. Pure Prairie League came in after the show. Nice guys. One of them was Mike Hamilton who had played with Kenny Loggins. I let him play my GretschTennesean. Smokin guitarist! Even puking drunk he was great!
Agreed, a great voice. Pure Prairie League is one of my favorite bands from the 70's. A great era of music anyway you look at it, now passed into history, never to be duplicated. It's passed into history now. It was an awesome time to hear and experience the music!
@Laura Byers It was an awesome time to hear and experience the music. F&F brings back some of those memories. Especially the Crosby, Stills, and Nash covers.
I love that song...since the first time I heard it performed by Pure Prairie League back in the 70's. I have sung it at karaoke ever since, it's just one of those songs. Can Sammie sing harmonies or what?! (And Sammie and Maggie are crazy good singing together also.) Great job everyone!
I've listened to this I don't know how many times, and it wasn't until today that I realized why I don't hear any change after Tim "sends his signal" - we hear a remix from the board inputs. :P
@Thomas Allen / Brian Lewis makes his (virtual) comeback in F&F’s recent cover of Seven Bridges Road... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lP_eq5cvobk.html
Excellent version! My wife’s cousin is a member of PPL (since about 1973) and I am always interested in how other folks cover this song. The guys in the band would be proud. Love the mandolin too. Nice touch.
This band gives me hope and knowledge that besides what garbage the media gives us today ,their is still real talent out there for us to enjoy!! Thanks for this U tube!!!!
