The old 'Glitchless' runs have now been reclassified by the community as 'No-Major Glitches' speedruns, this is a run of the new ruleset for what the community has decided to be 'glitchless'. If you'd like to see the updated ruleset and what things are allowed/not allowed in the new glitchless category, you can find that here - www.speedrun.com/atb?h=Any_Restricted-Glitchless&rules=category&x=w20mln8k-0nwg7gd8.q5vvdjnl
There were a big update on 3rd July. Monster now can spawn instantly before you collected the valve if you try run or make noise so I guess you have to make another speedrun :p
You likely know this by now but you can save a second or two by grabbing that box by the end of the right side and just placing it against the wall on the left as you move forward at 11:09 you can walk right past it and you don't need to place it in the gap in the wall on the right
yeah thats something that is known about, i just never liked that method because the box wont always let you run/jump past it. pushing it into the hole on the right just removes that small annoyance from the run
for a few different reasons. first is that we have no way of making a save or loading a save from the point in which we wake up so we have to watch that opening everytime regardless. second is that for a good chunk of the opening (after the timer starts but before you see yourself waking up) you can actually move around and interact with the game. you're character is loaded in early near the pantry section so theoretically you can open a few extra doors early and potentially even get the pistol if you were skilled enough.
@BloodThunder bro what's your conversion configs. I'm converting in Adobe H264 and after uploading all my videos they have 1080p but they don't have 720p.
speed run great, this game though is horse shit. I am so disappointed in this game I can't even believe it. hope my refund on steam goes through. 24 bucks for this. no way. $6.99 at max. Maybe I'll rebuy but I doubt it.
Im glad they changed the rules on glitchless. It seems to be the most skill based version. I'd like to see you do it on hard difficulty and see if that even affects your run.
Yeah the new rules on glitchless feels much more in spirit in completing this horror game with as much skill and nerve as possible. Definitely an improvement.
@@pointblank2890I will say that the prison skip hitting the switch through the window was definitely in the spirit of the game because it makes sense to be able to do that. But definitely shouldn't be in a glitchless run in my opinion
@@Namelessstew it's not a glitch tho, it's an oversight of the developers, all the objects are working as they are intended. A glitch is something that inflicts either the player or an item with a property or value that cannot otherwise be activated unless manipulated Staying inbounds, hopping on a bench and pressing switches doesn't break that glitch barrier
@@Frosty11037 I'd agree to disagree it's a Grey area it's in-between a glitch and exploit either way I don't see it in spirit of a "glitchless" run. Only because it skips maintenance entirely. I'd agree that being in the game is in the spirit of the game itself (since they want you to be creative and use many different solutions to different problems) and shouldn't be removed.
@@Namelessstew Yep, I agree. Facing the dangers of the Bunker while dealing with its traps and monster, while acquiring the key items and codes in a manner the devs (mostly) intended the players to do so feels the most in spirit of a glitchless speedrun
Funny enough, that might have been my first achievement besides the obvious ones you get by progressing. I got it from the set trap in maintenance by the rat in the hallway. Did not see it and botta bing botta boom.
there are a few things in the new ruleset that aren't really glitches or abuse glitches in anyway but the community wanted a less broken category than we had previously and didn't feel like coming up with a better name. its a bit silly but it is what it is
Yeah like I can accept wrench skip being considered a glitch (even if I still don't really agree with it), since it's unintended by the developers and you have to do some fenagling to reach the switch... but checkpoint loading, grabbing Delisle's key around planks, crouch jumping and the parkour in the tunnels a glitch? What lol. I feel like that's a problem a ton of games have. They bundle things that are "developer unintended" in with glitches. I always think runs like this should be more-so called "Developer Intended" runs or something, since so many of these things aren't glitches.
