I really love it that you were using Google lens, a state of the art AI computer vision translation tool, to play old 8-bit French games.

Iron Lord, like so many French games, looks absolutely beautiful. And you are right - I often feel playing my Amstrad these days is like stepping into a time machine. It's so weird, but I don't enjoy the PS4 'Megadrive classics' - I have to play the MD games on the original console, which I am blessed to still have. This week, it's Super Nintendo and Amstrad CPC time. I'll have to catch up on PS4 with FIFA 23 and Red Dead Redemption II gathering a little dust! Wonderful content as always. Hope your channel continues to grow.

Abbey of Crime is based on the book "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco. It's a good book.

In Spain "The Abbey of Crime" is a cult game, I'm glad they finally translated it and you can enjoy it. Great selection of games, as always!

Times of Lore on the 464 was one of my favourite games ever and one of the few I ever completed. It was the only game Origin ever released on Amstrad and was supposed to have inspired the Zelda series on NES. Impressively, the whole game including all the dungeons fitted in memory without multiload. I loved the mix of arcade adventure quests above ground and Gauntlet style fighting below.

I loved North v South on the Amiga, not bad on the 8 bits either. Interestingly historically accurate in so far as the south get support from the French (as happened in the real civil war)
