the real Bosnian Ape Society experience: -radio silence for a few months -returns to post a banger of a video of a tank driving at night, zero context given -leaves again for ~1 month -yet another no context high quality render of a tank
Oscillémogging is a unique phenomenon in Tank Evolution. In the early 1950's, French tank designers explored various ways of upgrading and replacing their inferior WW2 equipment. The solution they came up with? A series of transformations and techniques created for French tank self-improvement. By following such procedures, any French vehicle could Oscillémog. The most notable products of Oscillémogging are: 1) The AMX-13; 2) The AMX-50; 3) The Panhard EBR.
It was not about "inferior" equipment, but a complete lack of it. Industries had to restart everything, engineering had to be updated from a huge gap of early WW2 to post-WW2 standards, etc. But I am nitpicking 😁
I love the Char B1/B2. Got one for my 28mm German ww2 army, as they captured and used a load after the battle of France, and it's just such a cool looking vehicle. You even get to replace the bow howitzer with a flamethrower, and we all know how rad flamethrowers are.
The AMX 50 Surbaissémaxxing was a later stage in the development of the AMX 50 tank project. It featured many of the same elements found in the AMX 50 B tank model. While this tank was used in testing in 1963, the vehicle saw limited service in the Baguette Wars. It was eventually merged with the AMX M4 project, creating the AMX M4 model 50 Surbaissémaxxing. Compared to earlier iterations this tank featured more modern characteristics. In 2014 the AMX 50 Surbaissémaxxing was upgraded and saw service during the secret Fourth Baguette War. Due to its ability to fire baguettes secretly loaded with plastic explosives used in HESH rounds, the baguettes won the war. This vehicle has received numerous upgrades throughout the years, including upgraded armor, an experimental 5 shot autoloading cannon, and a external armor composed of baguettes.
The AMX 50 Surbaissémaxxing was powered by upperclassblood, harvested from victims of the guillotine. The fuel upperclassblood is made up of idiotum and wealthium. Upperclassblood is often found in rebellion-rich areas, although petitions have been made to change the name of the classification to ‘rebelliony’ to eliminate the ‘-rich’.
@@jcjcjunk1881 You'd be right on impractical, at least for the turret. Oscillating turrets are pretty cool but have the unavoidable issues of: 1. stabilization being hard to achieve. Moving 4-6 tons of gun up and down quickly isn't too difficult. Moving about 20 tons of turret at the same speed is. It requires more engine power, space and cost. 2. The unavoidable gap between turret and ring, where dust and dirt can collect, and renders oscillating turrets incapable of fully protecting their crew from things like the radiation from nuclear warheads, or from chemical warfare. Maybe they can, but it is more difficult. (As others have pointed out, yes, they can.) These don't quite outweigh the benefits of a better mounted autoloader and more gun depression. They're still cool, though. edit: formatting (didn't realize how unreadable it was)
If its real life the amx would won the armour has same thiccness of a panther the gun have -8 deppression and 6 sec reload of a massive giant 120mm gun with obus de rupture ammo
I have played this tank in world of tanks for over 900 hours and I can say that the third track is... interesting and it is the most cromulent armored bagguette I have ever driven in water
"with it's oscillating turret inherited from the previous AMX-13, the AMX-50 could also fit an automatic loading system, allowing for a reload time of about four seconds. The cannon being fixed at the upper part of the turret meant there would be no issue feeding the gun, while allowing for generous gun depression."
Dear Bosnian Ape Society, I have been wondering this question for an extended period of time by now. How do I protect my 2009 Honda Civic from the attacks of a common T-72 MBT?
did anyone else love the part where the AMX 50 said; "it's amx 50ing time." and amx 50'd all over the place? it was truly one of the AMX 50's of all time.
