I have a feeling that if Netflix (or one of the other streaming services) secured the rights to show The Carol Burnett Show -- it would become one of the best-rated, most-watched shows. . .yet again.
Ditto. And All in the Family. I've been watching it, and every episode gives me chills because if they did nothing but update the set, that program could be about America today.
Carol and Lucy paved the way for so many women in what is still a male dominated forum. To be funny AND successful, lead a show with their names on the title, and also run things behind the scenes and do it well. And be wonderful people, kind and generous, in real life. They are true comedic geniuses, true astute business people, and true American Treasures. They are truly, each of them, the gold standard, not just for women, but for everyone on how to conduct your work, and your life, exceptionally well. They are each one of a kind and some of the greatest comedic performers of all time. They should never be forgotten. ❤️
She is one of the greats. I always watched her show if I could. And, she wasn't just brilliant, and funny, she was a role model, and not just for women. She was a role model for how to treat people.
Carol is likely my favorite comedian of all time.. I remember watching her as a little kid, thinking 'Imma do that when I grow up." And I did just that.. Thanks, Carol.
I've heard the same story a thousand times. But because she's the one telling it, I will always listen I owe my very minimal childhood happiness to Carol and her gang
My grandmother used to love the Carol Burnett show. My parents bought all of the tapes for her to watch whenever she came over. I will always be thankful to her for instilling the love of comedy in me with the Carol Burnett show. I wish we still had the tapes. I would love to watch them like I did with her when I was a kid.
I thank God I grew up as a little girl watching this awesome icon of a genius. She was the best. She loves making people laugh. Good clean comedy. Well Carol, we've come a long way lady.
Watched the legendary American Carol Burnett on television growing up in Australia. Her show was popular here too. Americans should be proud of this talented and beautiful lady.
Her show is one of my earliest childhood memories. I don't know how much of the humor I got as a tiny kid, but I was always happy when her cleaning woman appeared on the screen.
I owe everything I know about the classics from Carol Burnett ... and that pleases me greatly! A wonderful role model for me growing up, so many laughs watching this as a little kid, love her
Carol always had great poise! A wonderful spirit of fun -- willing to goof around & also be serious about the craft of SHOW BIZ! She deserves the standing OH-WOWS! A terrific entertainer worthy of our love! * Cav *
that picture of her with lucille ball. my dad hated her for some reason, my mom wouldn't miss her for anything, and i watched with her, i wasn't really into the dancing and singing stuff, not my generation, but the comedic stuff was brilliant. carol could do anything, a real star.
The Carol Burnett show was the one program that both my mom and I (and my grandma) loved. We would watch it together and have a great time. Her comedy was so awesome it transcended generations.
terrific. I rarely watch award shows....since I was a kid....so this was a nice treat. Loved the Carol Burnett show....and no serious attempt to revive the variety show format ever since.
When she was shown on the Oscar's 2018, the segment when we first turned on the tv for the night, I was like, She didn't pass, did she!? I freaking flipped out! Luckily it was just a segment for an outstanding award. I applaud her spirit!
I remember being my cousin using does cassette tape recorders that recorded through air and recording the whole cow Burnett Show and listening to it over and over and memorizing the skints and even typing out the show and then at Christmas time weird put on plays on the elections she is a big part of my child and part of my phone of yours she's proof that the bigger you are the nicer you are
To be completely honest I had no idea who this wonderful woman is.. but in the end when she tugged her ear.. tears just started flowing out of nowhere.. just went on Google found out why she does that wowww...
