They do have nukes that you cna fire from a rocket laucher. It was called the Davy Crocket and it was mounted on a tripod or the back of a truck and carried a small nuke.

Theoretically, even smaller nuclear weapons are possible, but generally impractical to handle compared to just regular explosives so they were never really developed further.

@@mifiwi3438 Well, that and they’re effectively suicide to use on the ground, and being in the air negates any reason to have it be hand-held. I’m honestly surprised such a weapon was even _conceptualized._

Well, then again, they still didn't know that much at the time about radiation, the power of an atom bomb, and other such things. So things that to them may have inititally sounded feasible and reasonable, eventually were found to be completely impractical at best and outright insane at worst, once more research and testing was done. I mean, for fk sake, they weren't even completely sure if atom bombs would have been powerful enough to ignite the oxygen in Earth's atmosphere and kill us all until they tried one, for example.

Another thing the other comments might not have said about The Davy Crockett, but it could've been fired by hand, mainly by an expendable soldier who knew there was no getting out of that specific battle. It would essentially be a trump card for the end. I believe my source was an Experts React, it was a month or so ago..

yeah the portable nuke thing is real its the "davy crocket" and it was in use at around that time but the real thing is closer to the fat man in fallout in how it fires then whats depicted there. It was also whats referred to as a neutron bomb as most of its killing power will come from the neutron radiation burst and its explosion is relatively small unlike whats shown in MGS3 and it was so innacurate its not even funny, it was so bad that even in official reports about the weapon it was called "shockingly inaccurate" and useless unless it was deployed en-masse

Not really sure how you all didn't know about the nuke launcher considering they actually explain it in the game, by it's actual name and all. A lot of the gear in MGS games are real, with the proper names. Up until MGSV at least, maybe some of the portable ops things too, I forget. There's just a huge mix of realistic elements and non realistic ones. Even the M9 in MGS2 is explained in detail on why it has to be manually racked each shot. Launcher is the Davy Crockett, a tactical recoilless nuclear launcher. Recoilless like most launchers since it's a completely hollow tube allowing the blast of the rocket to come out the back. That's why both chopper doors are open in the cutscene, so the backblast doesn't kill everyone inside. It's effective launching range even on the smaller munitions was shorter than the actual blast radius. So that's a thing. EDIT: Went from long term memory. Blast is not larger than firing range.

Portable Ops and Peace Walker. The Davy Crockett's M28 launcher shoots at 2 km and M29 launcher is capable ro deliver the shell at 4 km, their warhead moderate blast damage radius is 120 m (0,12 km), so the crew isn't going to be inside blast zone. The problem (not immediate, though) was with radiation.

@@sciarpecyril actually even the fulton from peace walker is a real thing, and it did see quite a bit of use so its really mostly just mgsv, unless you count the human catapult and other joke items, which portable ops doesnt even have

Fun fact back during the Soviet Union when they took over Ukraine. They rounded up the people and just started executing and starving large swaths of the population especially “wealthy” farmers who could afford 2 cows in the Dun-base region. While at the same time importing their own people to repopulate and take over the area.

Third easy/fast way to kill the end: Kill his parrot that is very clise to you at the beginning of the fight, he will get mad and mindlessly run towards you to beat you up. "Almost discovered" this on my first playthrough, but was not attentive enough to get the parrot before i shewed it away.

The Sorrow fight?🤔No, encounter is the easiest to defeat, just drown and use the revival pill. Then the next easiest is The Fear, death pill, wait for The Fear to turn away, revival pill, stun grenade and then use a full auto weapon(use fast un-equip and equip to reload faster) and The Fear is defeat in less than 5 seconds and this strategy counts as non-lethal.

Check out the video by Lowe on why metal gear survive deserved better and you'll realize why metal gear survive is not garbage and neither is it the reason metal gear solid died in fact its not even an mgs continuation its a stand alone spin off game, I can't explain the entire situation that lead to the tragedy of metal gear survives reputation but there's a scummy reason behind it, also you might not know this but metal gear survive gets updates even to this day and is a better game than mgsv since its actually on the verge of finishing, in fact out only hope of mgsv being finished is if the devs for mg survive will finish it for kojima, if konami agrees that is
