Big VI Seconds and ScruFace fan, so I obviously have a bit of an obvious disposition to Luke Gawne, but I actually hella respect his maturity on coming on here. I was moved to liking him just a wee bit more since Death To Mumble Rap 2 because that song actually kind of slapped and showed he had some form of humor to make fun of himself. I hope that this open mindedness allows him to develop his music and art farther and hopefully improve and become the artist that I believe he can be!

I always saw Gawne as someone who is talented. He is not limited to fast rap. He has substance in his music. He has wordplay and all. He makes music for different people. It was dope meeting Gawne in person last October. He's a future legend and future all-time great.

Coming from a GAWNE fan who has never seen a Fantano video but was in the loop with all this beef beforehand... I enjoyed this interview a lot, it was great seeing just a light side of everything and hearing out what Luke had to say about it. I'm a big hibbity flibbity music fan haha, not that I don't like my rap to have substance, I just love fast rap that is clear enough to understand easily, and GAWNE delivers that like a Strange Music artist. Y'all should def go check out more of his serious work like Nightmare, Don't Hold Back, Everybody Dies, and Hell to Pay. He's a very talented lyricist that can put powerful substance behind lyrics when he wants to, and I look forward to what's in store next! Also... when he said that college + injury symptoms taught him how to "suck it up".... I felt that hard man. That's how I feel about the past 10 years of my life, there's been some major hardships but they have taught me to, simply put, suck it up and I now breeze through obstacles that used to be a big deal.

He seems like a really nice guy that's just making the mauic he wants to make, and I could never fault him for that. While I wont be listening to it, I hope Gawne keeps up whatever he's doing, and I wish him good luck with any of his future projects.

In terms of rap, I'd choose versatility, intricacy, clever wordplay and unique cadences over UNNECESSARILY FAST BABBLE! You can try and rap fast as though you've got something to prove, but if you've got nothing to say (or bring to the table) as you do so, then there's not much point. Fast rap is good in pockets, providing that it adds a little flavour to the track, as opposed to being the sole identity for an artist's entire discography, because then the artist comes across (for me) as far too gimmicky. I don't care for what people classify as "mumble rap", but it shouldn't be a problem that other people do. If anything, I'd totally understand why "mumble rap" fans favour such music, since manic fast rap can come across as chaotic and overwhelming to listen to. Rap fans that strictly favour speed over any other factors may as well be fast car fans, comparing which car can go the fastest down a straight road -- personally, I'd rather sit in a car and enjoy the ride with frequent twists and turns, eventually reaching the finishing line in style, after fulfilling a fun journey. Long story short: There's many styles to rap and it's okay to favour certain styles over another
