The language of fashion: clothes can say a lot about a person. And understanding what those clothes are and what they communicate can help us understand other people better.
This video is sort of a lolita fashion 101. I go over key elements that make this style unique and to help those that aren’t familiar with it to understand and recognize it. I also talk about the historical significance of the fashion, why it’s important, and how it has impacted my life. I hope you enjoy!

Your sibling is so adorable! I love that there are still people out there that wear Lolita! I was part of the egl community on live journal around 15 years ago, and I felt it was a very popular style back then so I’m glad to see people still wearing it now! I will always have a soft spot for Lolita and part of me wants to incorporate it in my wardrobe for teenage me. Lovely video and thank you for sharing!

I'm happy to see people still talking about lolita fashion. I remember it being big 15-20 years ago. I had several friends who were into the lolita variations and it was always a lot of fun. And this was before a lot of those online shops started popping up 😆

This is such a beautifully presented video, thank you for all your efforts! All your co-ords are stunning too! Interesting point about the bodice of the dresses being form-fitting. That's 100% true but I've never heard it discussed in that way before in the community, as you said. Fascinating!
