4 things lexus needs to add to the IS350 as options 1. RCF seats 2. Carbon fiber roof 3. RCF/ GSF big orange brembo brakes 4. Forced induction for the v6 model
Hey man, I saw this video and had a question for you. Is this process basically the same for an actual RC F seat? I just picked one up but want to replace the seat back. One of the bolsters is super worn. Thanks in advance!
@@JasonNguyen sweet thanks! Thats what I was hoping for. Seeing the worn bolster in my F has been bugging me. Looks like the last guy tore it and did a shotty glue and stamp repair. Car is super clean besides that so it’s been bugging me lol. I will definitely use your vid to guide me through the replacement. Thanks again!
Haha I’m definitely not a pro but thank you! It’s just getting out of your comfort zone! Which is very difficult. Once you get passed that, you will feel more confident!
Have to pull the driver's seat from a '16 IS300. The little yellow wire connector under the seat is driving me nuts. Is there a trick? Guessing it is airbag related(?) Thanks!
@@JasonNguyen It is a yellow harness with a yellow 2-wire connector. It is in about the center of the seat, the other two connectors in front and easily detached.
They’re pretty sturdy but still really comfortable! I heard that the base model seats are more for comfort. I had the f-sport seats prior because my car is an f-sport so I didn’t get those base model soft seats to begin with! But honestly, this RCF seat is definitely the most comfortable seat I’ve ever owned. I really love how it hugs your sides with the bolsters.
Just be careful of seat wear on the edges as all of these Lexus seats suffer from it. Best option is to ensure the seat is in the far back position when exiting and entering the vehicle. This is easy on the RC as it has memory seats but i am not sure about the IS?
Ahh good advice! I’ll definitely watch out for that! I had no clue! My car does not have memory seating however I will make note of watching out so I don’t give it more wear and tear! The RCF seat holds up very well though!
@@JasonNguyen That's good mate. I just have the standard RC F sports in mine but was talking to RCF owners that had that issue right on the edge from getting in and out. Things like wearing belts on pants can easily damage that part.
Dude... that was a good informative vid! Thanks for sharing. The RCF seats look sick in your IS. Got a question for you: how is the headrest part of the RCF seats? Is it still pretty stiff? Or kinda floppy? The reason I ask is that I noticed on the RCF seat frame, there's an extended metal hoop that looks like goes up in the headrest part of the RCF seat. Thanks Brother!
Thank you so so much! It’s still one of my favorite pieces in the car! The headrest itself is still stiff! I saw that too and honestly, people think it would be soft and it’s not at all!
Can I get this seats on 2004 civic. civic is the only car I get 😂🤣 . BTW I’m happy about my current life having a car to drive around and home to live. I will get this car next year already working 2 jobs saving up now dreams don’t work unless you do🙏🏿💪🏿💪🏿. ALWAYS THANKFUL FOR MY CURRENT LIFE BEING INDEPENDENT AND GETTING THINGS YOU WANTED IT BY PLANNING IT AND ALWAYS WORKING TOWARDS YOUR PLANS. GOD IS GOOD ANF BE THANKFUL EVERYDAY. Maybe if you get it done professionally. But I doubt it because they’re black. If they were white or a lighter color, you can probably dye. However most places will just reupholster with new leather that’s diff color. It’s probably really expensive though
Wanna go in on a tool project? I need certain tools for a specific common problem. But I need someone with money, but I'm sure your not rich. Damn patents cost 10,000 just to file for a patent, and that's not a guarantee, cause there are so many rich ppl who have ideas, patent them and never go through with project
@@mircioagastefanmarian951 Thank you so much! A lot of the parts I would buy used from other people, do custom myself or just google! The front bumper I found from someone who had it in storage for a year and never used it!
Thank you so much man!! They’re awesome seats! I got lucky and found them on Facebook market place and offerup! You can definitely purchase them from your local Lexus dealership!
Jason Nguyen thanks man! i’m hoping to get a 2IS (or 3IS if i can get one for a good price) as my first car and really want to get the RCF seats in it!
@@JasonNguyen good point, maybe ill just keep on what i have lols. Im a new subscriber and definatley love what you have done to the lex. Hopeing to lower my car soon! Keep up the great work, much love from New York 🗽💪🔥
@@EastCoastMafia_NY Thank you so much for subscribing and being a part of my build!!! I appreciate the love! I've always wanted to go to New York! How is the car scene out there? I know east coast kills it pretty hard! You will love your car even more once its lowered!
@@JasonNguyen lols i would deff recommend for you to come out here, car scene is no joke ! If you ever do decide to come out here , make sure to let us know ! Lols
Jason Nguyen already did but they want the vin and obviously that won’t work because I have an IS lol. There are three different ones that’s why I asked. No worries though
Jason Nguyen yeah this is Lexus of Valencia. They told me that one has the heated seat feature and the other doesn’t. I’ll go with the heated. I just hope it also supports ventilated seats.
@@jd-m9179 Oh, if you are gonna have it reupholstered then hell yeah. You can do it and have it however you want and match. I was considering getting the RCF bottom leather however I think its harder to remove. I had a passenger side one but could not locate the driver side so I scraped it haha.
Hmm, I read that a lot of people can’t stand the feel of Nuluxe. I’ve always liked leather. I haven’t really felt nuluxe but leather is nicer because it’s sturdier!
Thank you boss! I’m still learning as I go! It honestly pains me knowing that people charge so much for labor when I could do it myself. I’m glad they know their worth and what to charge but damn, I’m too cheap for that LOL
