What a nice interview, ladies! Thank you. I am one year fully awake, fourth generation born in. I am a woman in my late 50’s. I relate to so much of what you both have experienced and share. I have so many beloved family members still inside the org as well as I often depend on some of them for help as I am disabled. It is frightening to imagine life without their assistance but also heartbreaking to lose the closeness we have always shared. So I am PIMO at the moment. I have recently discovered an app called Academia. On there is a great resource of thesis papers written about JW beliefs by various authors. These papers are well researched and accurate and do such a good job of unpacking the beliefs and doctrines in such a way as to make it obvious that these are not from the Bible but are man made doctrines. Anybody wanting to get food for thought regarding JW’s doctrines will find this a valuable resource.

Hey there June, nice to see you, as always sweetie! I can so identify with your guest. She hit the nail on the head when she said, " it just didn't feel right". That is exactly as I felt and said as a child. I told my parents that the people in the kh weren't a REAL kinda nice. Got in trouble for that one.😁😆 Thank you both! ❤💥✌️

Hi June, I want to thank you for these videos....they mean a lot to me. I have never been a JW but was always very curious about spirituality... and tried to live my life according to christian principles. One of the corner stones of my beliefs is that you can see what a spirituality /religion meant to people was in how they treated the less fortunate or those that didn't live according to their set of ethics/principles.One of my friends that I grew up with had a very troubled childhood and youth...Her father died before she was born and later in life she got into drugs. We met up, when I would visit our village and I noticed, that she had no real thread through her life that could give her guidance. One day she told me that she had become a JW and was very excited about it. It had given her guidance and help from friends. I thought: maybe that is the way for her. And then a few years later I met her again, and noticed how afraid she was....all she had learned as a JW came back to haunt her...her past sins etc....she was so afraid, that she didn't live up to Jehovas ways and would end up in hell. I tried to tell her, that God loves us no matter what, but couldn't get through to her. So these conversations that you have, help me to under stand her better..

I was 17 the age that I started Bible studies regarding 1914.I never believed in indicating Bible dates. Since I was a child I liked to read the gospel and always remembered the text: nobody know the say or hour that Jesus said. I studied the Bible because my then boyfriend (today my 40 years married) was a JW. So I accepted everything I was being taught, and to be honest the basic teachings: hell, trinity, Resurrection etc made sense to me. However as years passed the 1914 thing didn’t make sense and I wanted to pioneer but how can I teach 1914 if I can’t believe it! So I asked my husband to get not WT info but historical info on 607bce. In the meantime I allowed myself to do my research and was so tired reading I decided to look for answers in RU-vid. Was scared at first, used to erase the PC search history and prayed to Jehovah el for forgiveness! But thanks to some RU-vid channels (was 59 then) 38 years in the WT I woke up! Amd yes, didn’t want to sing and found that the pandemic helped us to fade- my husband woke up a year later! Thanks for your videos and much blessings!

I'm really enjoying hearing your stories. I was never JW but i credit them with cementing my atheism. I was raised Catholic but deep down just never believed. However I was just too chicken to come out with it. Do I did church, was a lecter, taught catechism etc. When I still only had one child, JW's started coming around. I was in a good mood that first day haha and politely heard them out, said i was Catholic, but they left on a friendly note, leaving a watchtower and some pamphlets.. The next Saturday they were back, and now i wanted to talk because i had actually read the materials and had some bones to pick. They happily engaged, all i remember is something about showing me proofs, where 2 things in the Bible agreeing make it true? Something like that anyway. I remember it was that visit or the next my husband coming home from an errand as they were leaving, and he about lost it laughing at me after i explained who my visitors had been. He couldn't stop saying to himself, she actually let them in. He did tell me he would handle the eviction when I'd had enough, haha. Anyway their visits had me studying that Bible like crazy so i could refute them. Which of course helped me realize i was right for not believing this crap could be a reason to believe in a vengeful, child killing, contradictory God. I pretty much gave up on church after that. No more pretending. A funny story that still makes me giggle happened a few years later. It involved a friend of mine whose terrible marriage had just ended, leaving her with 2 tiny children and no support. We were arranging a time for out next visit one day, when it comes up that she is studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses. I look at her in shock and said no way. She tries to convince me she might believe but i refuse to believe her because I've known her since childhood. She finally gets a guilty look on her face and says, "well they watch the kids for me for a couple hours and it leaves me a little free time". 💀 Okay, i feel sorry for the earnest people thinking they have a live one, but still..... I'll never stop smiling at that memory. Anyway, i appreciate you very much, you are just a lovely person. I admire how you dealt with all of this within your family and the journey you took.

I was a caregiver for my mom. She loved and knew her traditional Christian music. I bought a lot- ones that were beautifully done. I listened to the lyrics and felt they were thoughtfully written- none about hell, Armageddon, judgement, and so on. Heard how we got Amazing Grace, circumstance it was written. Felt the same about Christmas music. Saw the joy of people who decorated their houses in contests for Christmas. It was refreshing to see something that brought people happiness. Also observed grandchildren giving a birthday party for their granddad- felt as showed appreciation, care, and love- even if it was on a specific day. I am not religious- I am disgusted by most, respect some individuals. Tend to listen to scholars who repudiate the bible. Nor is that saying that I do not believe that there is not some power or force out there.

I was 40 when I studied with a JW because I wanted to know "the truth"and I stopped at the not allowing blood transfusions and her reasoning of evil spirits entering your body. I asked her well if you have that much faith in Jehovah's word why worry? I'm mean that's what the testaments are for...to learn how those in the Old Testament kept their faith, right? But she didn't see my reasoning. She dismissed my interest in learning about the Gospels of Jesus, too. I was 12 when diagnosed with brain cancer w/ 2 reoccurences. One at age 13 the other at 18. But I was never scared even after being told I had 5 years to live 30 yrs ago. I just knew whatever is out there has me covered with its love. Each surgery required 6 blood transfusions. Plus several during treatment. PS - I was eight years old when I started questioning religion. I always scored high In comprehension skills In school. In my 30's( Turn 50 next year) began questioning the Church and how they ask their parishioners for money when they have millions in the bank and don't pay taxes. They say you won't need it when Jesus returns so why/ what/when are they saving it for?

Singing but not really singing, Jacket left on, I also started sitting near the exit in the back rows when I realized the contradictions in the Bible and the hypocrisy of it too really peed me off, Education not being important, Shunning never sat well with me and I'd always smile or say Hi to a disfellowshipped brother or sister, actually the Elders would give me the greases when they saw me and I'd mirror greases back at them! lol I'm needing to watch interview again not only because it was awesome but because Andie's given me Epiphanies for which I have "face-palmed" myself with not seeing it myself. I’m a recent subscriber since YT suggested one of your videos. I appreciate what you do! I have a couple questions. We had Christmas lunches at our office. Adamant about not participating, a JW would eat the leftover food & judged an ugly sweater contest. Is there a way that they justify it (she didn’t when I asked her) other than they choose what’s acceptable @ their benefit? Although they have memorials so it seems they don’t believe in Jesus’ resurrection or seem to think of him as God, how do they consider themselves “true” Christians?

Yes my husband Justin Porter .Nicole said to me ,,If you ever give me a blood transfusion , I,ll divorce you,, I started waking up in 2014 aged 53 when I got hooked on apostate videos after watching the Royal Australian Commission but it took me another 4 years of being pimo to saying ,,whats worst being shunned or pretending to believe in lies,, I chose the truth and dissociated in September 2018 aged 57 when I discovered , Armageddon has been cancelled due to lack of interest but Mother Nature has decided to wipe us out instead. HOW MANY CHILDREN OF JWS ARE PRESSURED TO GET BAPTIZED IN FEAR OF ARMAGEDDON . THE DISCIPLES NEVER BAPTIZED KIDS !
@andiepole2204
@andiepole2204 Год назад
So many kids get baptized! The GB holds them up as such a fine example. It’s so sad because if these poor children wake up a couple of years down the line, they then have to make the decision to get shunned or live a double life. How could they be forced to pay like that for a decision they made as a child?! It seems to me that whenever there is an article about one of these kids getting baptized and their age is given, shortly after a younger child gets dunked. I feel like it’s so they can have bragging rights. None of these children are ready to make a life-long commitment like this. It’s sad.
