If we base it off MJ's first 20 mill per year contract I'd say it took NBA players about 45 to 50 years to get "fair pay" from the league. So the WNBA has about another 20 to 25 years of work to put in before they can start to compare their pay scale to the NBA.

The wnba needs better guard play. Good forwards aren't going to attract viewers lol. You want to see a 6'4" forward/slasher in the wnba? No, I'd rather watch the NBA where they can dunk. Guard play, particularly shooting and dribbling is something that is easier to match. It's about style of play.

Women’s March Madness was way more popular than the men’s this year. The WNBA draft had a 300+% increase in viewership this year. Caitlin Clark’s jersey sold out & the Indiana Fever had to move their home opener to a 20K seater because of demand. I can only assume these numbers & this interest is going to carry over to the W this season. As the popularity & interest go up, so will the money.

Not outlandish to think the same outcome would happen with a good varsity boys team in basketball. The speed and athleticism would defeat the skill set.
