i think sprinting is one of the best things you can do to completely transform yourself. say 1-2 days a week. (ideally on top of other resistance workouts) sprinting is like sending a signal to your body saying "wtf is happening i literally need to become stronger, faster, more powerful and energetic right now!!"

Im glad that more people recently in the past few years are learning that increasing androgen receptor sensitivity is alot more important than just increasing testosterone itself and thats true for insulin too increasing insulin sensitivity is more important than increasing insulin it causes less strain and damage on your body too while still having the desired benefits!

Unfortunately I am sure you mean well, but healthy antioxidants and molecules you mentioned in consumption will never cause an alarm of bringing healthy levels of androgens down nor down regulate androgen receptors. Eastern medicine should be the top priority, natural remedies and eating healthy will prevent most individuals from ever contracting any pathological disorder to begin with. Disease always starts somehow and it typically starts from the beginning you put this garbage 🗑 western food and chemicals in your mouth.

Regarding cortisol - giving up caffeine was the best thing i have ever done for my health, T and wellbeing!
@bigguy130
@bigguy130 2 месяца назад
Yeah, according to a gym bro I know, some of those pre-workout formulas have a lot of caffeine in them which raises cortisol and then putting your body into a catabolic state, unless you can take something to counteract the rise in cortisol, like high dose of phosphatidyl serine.
@sean9820
@sean9820 2 месяца назад
@@bigguy130 I mean it makes perfect sense. Cortisol is the enemy of T and sleep, this recovery. Might be TMI by my rods sensitivity and orgasms are 10x better off caffeine lol. When I'm tired I simply eat some fruit or good carbs to get going. Our body thinks we have been poisoned when consuming caffeine - hence the adrenaline spike, diuretic effect (clear it out), cortisol (fight or flight). I am stronger, leaner and meaner without it and I barely workout anymore, just super active.

I always believed beneficial for my personal growth to always have something that brings me slightly over my comfort level in stress, off course in exercises but Im talking more about life, work and so on. Define my fears and intentionally push the boundaries. So this actually helps with the physiological side of male function. Super interesting! I can attest about to the natural compound androgen blocking effects. Ive been into heavy lifting for around 20 years now and even at 43 my T is naturally very high (I typically hover around 11-1200) when im drinking Matcha, eating beacoup Broccoli Sprouts, or making Turmeric beverages theres often a 1 or 2 day layover before I feel "driven" in the gym again with Heavier compound lifts. I assumed it was due to Green Tea's SHBG boosting and Curcumins DHT reduction but it seems theres another angle afoot🤔 I'll try Carnitine dosing but i suspect ill have to just start "phasing" my lifts weekly according to their consumption because I love the benefits I get from all those things mentioned wayy too much to quit lol.

Hello, first of all I will just say that I very much regret that I did not have the knowledge that you provide here a few years ago. I used to have a lot of energy and high libido - I wanted to exercise, date girls and generally wanted to live. Unfortunately, at some point I started VERY exhausting and frequent training (often on an empty stomach) based mainly on intense running and a low-calorie diet. Add to that a lot of stress at work and my libido has completely disappeared for 4 years. At first I didn't know what was happening, I was desperately looking for a solution and I even started taking external testosterone, but it did absolutely nothing for me - I didn't feel ANY improvement. Today I know that my androgen receptors have suffered due to this chronic stress. My cortisol levels are still in the upper limits, or slightly above the norm. I feel tired all the time and I wanted to ask you, if I managed to lower my cortisol level, would there be a chance that my androgen receptors would regain their sensitivity? I will be very grateful to you for your answer. Regards

Great content, thank you for all the info you share. I'm curious if you are aware of an link to a decrease in testosterone response or production post vasectomy? It may be coincidental or psychosomatic but I feel like my testosterone plummeted after my vasectomy and I am now after watching this more curious if somehow my androgen receptors have been affected.

Well "polyphenols" is a broad term used to describe a class of molecules. Just do a search on polyphenols and AR function. It is a pretty extensive topic.

Sorry for the possibly stupid question, but is the video talking about total testosterone or free testosterone? If my total testosterone is 47 nmol/L, but free is 0.41 nmol/L, are the androgen receptors working properly, or are they only interacting with free testosterone?

Total t matters much less if you have good amounts of free t. At the end of the day it comes down to how good you feel though.

Do we have to worry about hormones binding to ARs and blocking T? E.g., the weak T metabolites like androstane, or estrogens, or even cortisol. Does cortisol bind to AR? I think I read that once. Is there a way to keep ARs "clean" so only T can bind to it?
@swoops41
@swoops41 2 месяца назад
Estrogens aren’t androgens, so they don’t attach to the AR. They attach to their own ER
@NutritionLibrary
@NutritionLibrary 2 месяца назад
no. But there is crosstalk pathways between receptor types i.e. ARs and ERs. Estrogen acting on ERs can suppress AR activity, but it isnt direct in the sense that it actually "blocks" the receptor. If you want to keep them "clean" this would probably be best served by strictly avoiding food phenols that literally block ARs.

Chromium instead?
@NutritionLibrary
@NutritionLibrary 2 месяца назад
probably not. Berberine helps with blood sugar metabolism, but this really only helps to lower blood sugar quicker after meals. Doesnt really help to lose fat. The most effective way to lower blood sugar after meals is to do set of push ups, walk around the block, or do some air squats after a meal.
