Almost a year now and that pixel is alarmingly smooth........... 👍👍

Ok Android Oreo is out. Next one! Android P: Pancake? Pudding?

And I am still on lollipop 😩

Because of the existence of Project Treble, DO NOT expect Oreo to be on your phone instantly if, for example you have an S8 or an G6. The OEMs need to adjust their skins to Treble. But once they are on 8.0 and Treble, expect shorter update times and longer support periods.

Can google just make up their mind on the settings page? No Alex, its not simpler, its just that google changes their mind all the time. PS. We need a dark theme.

Almost one year and the pixle xl is still 800$ wait nvm the drop it by 1$ its totally affordable plus a 13$ tax

I liked the darker pull down screen thingy better than the new lighter one.

And think that I saw the relase of Android 1.6...That's crazy to see how much the experience had improved and how android is getting more delicious with the time goes by... I freaking love Oreos...Who doesn't??

Seriously ! No dark mode ! It's 2017.. phones are hurting our eyes and yet no real dark mode is seriously adopted !!

Don't know why I'm watching this, by the time my phone gets the upgrade, I'd have forgotten the new features and I'll have to watch the video again.

Just updated to Nougat now Oreo..

Very excited about the picture in picture feature coming to my Pixel C! Not so excited about more blinding white menus I don't have to put up with on my 3T. A Dark mode is now needed more than ever.

I want to see hard numbers on the battery improvement. The idle drain on 2 different Samsung devices has been insane and need to know if Oreo can fix that BS.

The Late Softwares updates is one of the most important thing holding android back and giving apple an edge .Slow updates to OS means apps can't use the latest features and need to support multiple different OS versions with different API , and despite all these optimizations and cool new features like notification dots most of us will never get them

When I get the update on NEXUS 5x?

Change icon shape is missing from release 8.0, I am on the Pixel with Pixel launcher. I believe to see this in the settings you have to turn on development options.

Many people complain that their 2016 or even 2017 flagship area still on 7.0, while my 2015 Sony Xperia Z5 has 7.1.1, although I'm not going to get an Xperia for my next upgrade as I'm bored of their design now, Sony do a commendable job at updating their flagships for a good few years, the Z5 may even get Oreo too.

Walkman doesn't have the color change nofication media player. But Chrome when watching movies and stuff, it does have the color change.

Treble doesn't make Skinned updates from Nougat to Oreo easier though?

In my nexus 6p and many other people's 6p although we do have pic in pic mode and notification dots in the settings they don't work.. may be pic in pic only works with youtube red

I got it on my Nexus 5X, it's blazingly fast, also battery life is excellent!

So when is the update out?

Google needs to make android more modular so they can separate core android OS from manufacter skins, features and customizations. This will enable one to be able to install the os just like on PC. Manufactures can provide the necessary drivers, special apps and customizations.

I love how in some shots you can see a fingerprint on the "Home Button" of this "iPhone"...

Question 1 the changes to the notification I can't see them in the newer version when I change font size in the settings it doesn't apply to the notification tray is there a way to change this? Question number 2 the colors have changed I have a theme applied to my phone but the colors will not change and I can't see them how do I adjust and customize the colors on the notification tree and the phone dialer as I had had them before or to a color combination that works for my legal blindness. The changes to the icons on my desktop make my desktop almost unusable because of the white background with the Adaptive apps? Is there any way to customize these for visual impairment question

Overhyped. Android Oreo is sooo great, but Google still can't make *ONE* app with SMS, messaging, and video chatting.
