I believe regen is triggered by differential (FAP) pressure. Not sure but I think it must be above 64 mbar on 2000 revs.

Yes, support can be added also for SID ECUs, just send logs with FAPlite software.

This functionality WAS already implemented but author decided to remove it due to safety reason. Most likely it will NOT be implemented again. Is there anything unclear here?

I believe you read these as follows: EGRpostInstr = Position as instructed by ECU while EGRpos = Position as read by ECU. Ideally, these should be pretty much the same (identical?) but I had to replace mine. When an EGR Valve is replaced, it needs to be re-learned as it's possible for the ECU to be instructing say 70% but the valve might open fully (maxed out) while an ECU instructed fully closed, might still be open 30% etc. I currently have an issue where they read pretty much the same while at other times, one is say 60%~ while the other reads zero so I either have a big problem or it the replaced valve hasn't been adapted properly (compliments of a useless garage trying to fit the wrong valve). Btw, be very careful with pattern parts and save yourself a headache by getting the proper OEM valve. I sourced a genuine Valeo 700414 for pretty much the same price as a claimed compatible valve (didn't have a choice). It created some nasty problems and pretty much killed my turbo. Just remember, the replacement will most likely need re-learning as the car will have adapted to a failing valve so needs re-calibrating to the replacement. If all this has been done correctly, these two values should read the same if it's working correctly. I've not checked this fully but you may wiring issues such as a broken wire etc. This could mean the valve is being controlled, monitored or both. You can check if the valve is working with the app. Just listen for the click from the EGR valve as it opens and closes. Monitoring the valves position is a little harder as some use a potentiometer (google it) while others use what appears to be a hall sensor. The former is basically a variable resistor with a wiper arm connected to the shaft of the valve while the other is a semiconductor based magnetic sensor (me thinks) and I haven't a clue how to test that.
