I was genuinely more interested watching a jeskai control player time out than watching them cast remand 8 times in one game. I never realized how much I despise remand until the deck got popular recently.

Tiny tiny thing I noticed against Eldrazi Tron: You might as well have chumped with your angel token when they were attacking with Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher: It would have died, only gaining you 11 life (effectively, by stopping the 6 damage from Thought-Knot and 5 from lifelink), but you would get another one on end step from Resplendent Angel. Not that it mattered with Aurelia coming down, the fact that you just had lethal meant that it really didn't matter, but it's an interaction worth keeping in mind in something like this.

I love angels, I had so much fun playing Angel Tribal in Standard back before Eldraine, and this is sweet and spicy!

36:30 is a huge punt, that doesn't matter in this specific game, but you should always play optimally. Block Thought knot with the token, saves you 11 life, and token replaces itself.

This election drama is really stressing me out, so thank you Seth for the distraction.

Angel of Destiny is seriously legit, even in Standard. I run it in a UW control shell with it, The Shadowspear, and Dream Trawler as the finishers (if I attack with both after equipping the spear to the angel, it gains me 22 life per attack) and it has a really good winrate. Because it's UW control, you don't really care about getting damage on the board early, so you just control the game until you can start attacking with your finishers from behind the protection of your counterspells.

Seth, love your videos. I'd love it if you'd explain what happens a little more in matches like #6. I'd never heard of restore balance and kind of had no idea what was going on. Still a really fun video, thanks to you and all the MtG Goldfish crew for all the awesome Magic videos!

And 4 hours later still, "Against he Odds." Also, Angel of Destiny! Yes! Angels are definitely top 3 favorite tribes. I can't decide what the order is between Elves, Rogues, and Angels. Assassins and Ninjas would be up there, but they're not strongly supported yet.

I pulled this card and it's a beast

Considering how many lands this needs to work, and how little you have to do in the early turns, why not add a set of Boros Garrison? You're already slow no matter what, and it helps you not miss your 4th or 5th mana so often. It doesn't work with Blood Moon, admittedly, but you could always hate on their lands another way. Or just swap them for more cheap removal.

Prismatic Vesta is my favorite vesta

Angel of Destiny + Shadowspear is one of my favorite little combos. :) Was curious why you didn't include Shadowspear for this; it's a cheap way to give AoD lifelink, and you get that sweet sweet trample.

Like the deck, think you could use a few path to exile so your removal scales better.

Mazemind Tome is really good. It almost seems like a better improved version of Treasure Map (which was also really good). It is nice that tomes aren't completely overpriced and don't necessarily suck anymore. I feel like for a long time they did not keep up with powercreep. It was like back around Urza's Block and Masques Block for example apart from maybe Temporal Aperture, card draw artifacts just really did not keep up with powercreep (or other artifacts for that matter actually as well). . Also I am hoping some big dumb creature tribal like say Wurms or Giants makes it on Modern Against The Odds. I kind of am hoping for Wurm tribal, but I know there have been some really strong rare and mythic wurms as well (and maybe it ends up going a bit like Angel Tribal).

Most of this deck can be played in Historic. I may have to try some variant there. Looks fun lol.

19:29 you could've used the cleansing wildfire on one of their triomes, then moved to the second main phase (to empty their mana pool) to resolve the blood moon. Admittedly they would have acces to 2 colors if mana (they would presumably get blue to keep with the mystic sanctuary gameplan) but it felt like you were walking into a mana leak or a remand. Interesting lines here though, and I can definitely see just running out the blood moon.

My E tron build runs 2 little ugin and one big ugin.. the little ugin helps with all the LD people bring in against it. or as you saw blood moon. also a source of spot removal an enchantment removal

While the deck is sweet, it doesn't feel like Angel of Destiny deck. There wasn't a game, where a random lifelinking angel wouldn't do the same or even better.

TLDR: "I didn't know what to do, so I jammed 4 blood moon in rw and called it a day."

Of course the cowardly control player runs away at a single card thats good for the opponent. Bruh control players dont even want to play the game
