She’s got a great family that have closely managed her career. She has to finish school. She’s already signed to Republic Records, but she’s being held back until she finishes her education. I think they’ve done an amazing job. She’s still only 15. She will have a meteoric career at some time.

Angelina is a real singer, not relying on audio engineering or show effects. She's just standing there with a mic, singing a real song, with a real melody, with a real voice, accompanied by real instruments. As you said, it's a mystery why she's not that famous yet as Adele with that talent. But lets see what the future holds for her. Thanks for sharing, NJ! 🙏

Or, if Angelina meets the conditions to become as great as the greatest. Some even think that it depends on whether Angelina Jordan becomes able to write and compose "good songs." It is true up to a point, but only from a limited angle. It is important to remember that, for example, Elvis (known as the greatest, the King and many other epithets) did not write any songs. All of his greatest hits are covers. So what makes an artist transcendent? Many things, creativity, genius, ability to convey emotions. I think that today Adele fits like a glove to Angelina Jordan's artistic qualities. But in the future it will only be one more in a long list of stars who will be able to thank Angelina's good taste for being part of her catalog. Greetings.

I'd say you're partly right: One reason Angelina isn't as big as Adele is AJ's age. It's hard for her to command attention or credibility, as in "how can she be any good, she's only 15!" But the other thing required to become a huge pop star nowadays (like Adele) is songwriting. And Adele wrote some of the best songs of the last decade. So while Angelina may be the best cover artist of the last several years, if it's all about "singer/songwriters" now, she needs to develop as a songwriter. Of course, she's doing everything right: working with Stargate & Rob Christie at Republic, dropping covers, and building her fanbase. In a few more years, she could get there. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the journey.

No one mentions the tremendous effect Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, had on her granddaughter with regard to singing. Being a child prodigy herself, she knew there were certain babies, like herself, who could absorb outside influences like music and actually perform singing it very early on in life. Angelina began singing jazz when she was 1-1/2 because of her grandmother who saturated her granddaughter with songs by the jazz greats she herself admired. Whenever she sings a heartfelt ballad like this her representation includes nuance and inflections she originally heard by Billie Holiday (old school jazz) and Amy Winehouse, the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time. Adele is great, but not being a jazz singer she is unable to match the passion that comes forth from a true jazz singer like Angelina and therefore is unable to penetrate the human soul of the listener as deeply.

Omg she is just something else!! I didn't like how people were negative towards her doing a cover so soon. It made me sad and I felt protective over our girl really. I feel this song truly resonates with her. For reasons only she knows 100% . I actually feel many of the her songs especially more recent are telling us a story of where she is at in life with her feelings and her emotion. She is sharing that with us through her chosen songs . Which really is what songs are meant to do. Angelina remarkably here brings more Adele to the show than even Adele herself and does it in uncompromising and unapologetic ways! And still includes all those special AJ touches that few (if any) can match. Be patient, Angelina is just 15yo, not even yet of driving age. She can still go to the grocery story or the movies without being mobbed. Let her enjoy those simple pleasures for a while longer. She will give them up when she is ready.
