In case someone hasnt told you yet. When Angelina closes her eyes for period of time, she has stated that she goes to this place inside, a music place of peace and happiness. Shes says its wonderful over there. In those moments she is beyond feeling it.

Yes, another wonderful display of her exquisite voice. The breathtaking beauty of her voice is not even up for debate; we just have to close our eyes, open our hearts and bask in it. But what I find particularly stunning about this performance is the sheer, effortles brilliance of her timing and phrasing. Magical.

Too many pauses but you’re forgiven because this performance is incomprehensibly good for anyone let alone an 8 year old..I understand your need to share your wonder and joy of this performance .

The comfort she displays on stage while singing this is almost as spectacular as the singing. ;)

Incredible!!! Not only her gorgeous vocal inflections, but THE WAY SHE PLAYS WITH THE TIMING!! She's a musical empath. She must listen to an artist and absorb their sounds and emotions. Simply stunning performance.

It's another jaw-dropper. Well, they all are... you can never go wrong with Angelina.

Angelina is a master at this. Then, of course, she has a huge toolbox with various voice tricks to pick out if she wants! 👣Angelina keeps on confirming those almost unheard of comments (for a 7 year old at the time) that she got at her NGT audition, as judges told her "You ARE music" and "You are born to sing". And as Angelina herself said already at this early stage: -" Singing is like breathing to me", and you know what; I am tending to fully belive just that. Music and singing is like what her life is all about. Almost since day one, and all until today, as she is closing up on her 18th birthday at january 10th. Then there is of course this amazing cause that she picked up on at six years old, to use her music to spread empathic love and humanity around the world, through her stunning musial abilities. Angelina every time, with her voice, leaves you with a wonderful feeling of contentment and tenderness that accompanies you even after, I love her voice. This girl's passion and talent is just amazing, it's as if she herself is able to weave new musical fabrics and from these she is able to create a new and wonderful dress every time she sings.💛🧡❤

I think this was the third thing of hers I watched. I think thats when I became her fan rather than just dumbfounded that a child could sing like that.

She sounds so much like the Dinah Washington original. Honestly, play them back to back and guess which is which. Her jazz phrasing is ridiculous, the way she holds on to the notes, the subtle vocal fry, the smoothness of the whole blend. Ridiculous. Enjoy your journey. Thank you Sonic we are enjoying it with you I think most of us have watched this so many times never gets old it is just sublime yes it is beyond words, ethereal, one of my favourites and without doubt my favourite version of this song whenever she sings this it is heavenly, for me this is her song and always will be. She's 8 but she's not 8 when she sings she is out of the range of human definition , she is in the world of feeling and love and she takes us with her. There is simply no other like her.💗👣

Great reaction, Sonic! This was an early signature song for Angelina. There are several recordings of it. My favorite is actually the lyric video that features the photo of a flower. Her phrasing on that one is magical. This is a wonderful live performance of it. I used to think she came in too early on the line, "There's a rainbow before me," and then corrected herself, but I now suspect it's a bit of improv on her part to shake up the rhythm. Amazing!

A question that will never ever be answered....

I can't think of another song that she has sung the wasn't at least as good except one, and that was her 1st time she sang it, It was If I Have Nothing the 1st time with her karaoke machine at 13 and ran out of breath near the end I sure it would been great if the music was down an octave just like Whitney used to do on her live versions.
