Remember when animal jam was in hot water all those years ago because parents caught their children being taken advantage of and being put in sexual situations? AND AJHQ Actually did something about it? I still remember when you could sleep next to a Jammer who was jumping. This was back before news like this spreading like wildfire online was super common, so the fact that the same thing isn't happening NOW is very bizarre. Although Maybe kids are scared of their parents stopping them from playing the game, so none of them are saying anything, but you'd think at least some parents would see what's happening, and would be rallying against AJHQ's behavior. This literally hits all the marks of the news spreading like wildfire, reaching those outside of AJ's community, and yet it hasn't. Not to the degree of the last situation anyway.
Honestly, there's stuff about this happening literally anywhere. Twitter "cancelling" is up there, sure they target the right people, but sometimes they just overextend(Sometimes meaning a lot). Anyway, this isn't the point. AJ is a lot more surprising to have this stuff and it seems to be maybe worse(Srsly I don't care which is worse)

This has always been a problem on Animal Jam, it happened to one of my friends back in 2012. But to hear that it's still going on, getting worse even, and nothing is being done about it, is horrible. These kids are being failed by a company who neglects to protect them in fear of getting into controversy. But by choosing not to do anything, they aren't fixing the problem, only silencing it. They need to rethink their priorities and take action NOW.
Just because this is happening it doesnt mean you should quit aj at all or stop posting as many people is doing that will do nothing. The only things you can do are: -stop purchasing membership for money, buy ut with sapphires instead. Is reall easy to get 400 sapphires in 30 days. Buying it with money supports wildworks, and if they suddenly stop earning money they will listen to us and do what we are asking for to get their money. Its sad but its true. This also applies to feral; its the same company, just dont support any wildworks game or merchandise (like plushies, animal jam underwearing etc) -Stop sharing, liking and commenting on their instagram posts. You're supporting them basically. Imagine how much will it help if they suddenly went from over 3k likes on every post to 200. That would make a difference and they will know. Same with their contest, dont join. You might want rares but youre basically supporting them - join contests and giveaways hosted by jammers instead! -spread awareness and speak out. Even if you are trying to be kid friendly to be a jambassador one day, please do. Whats the point in being a jambassador and promoting a company that supports pedophilia tho? What do you get from it? Just a tittle, plus AJHQ will force you to post the specific kind of content they want, I personally rather post whatever I want. Please dont attack jambassadors because theyre trying their best. But for example ellipsity and shelzy decided to step down as jambassador because of AJHQ's actions. Its so unfair how you can get banned from saying a bad word and then a pedophile doesnt. Of course even if they get IP banned they would still find ways to get back and create spares, but at least jammers wouldnt be mad at AJHQ because at least they show how they actually care a little about it. This is just disgusting. People who say "no they are just busy" well? Our safety should be their priority (i hope that how u spell it) and why would they make a post telling us to literally stop spreading rumours and drama- they are victim-blaming and thats even more disgusting than not banning the pedophiles at all.. Apparently the reason why ajhq defending hyenine is because hyenine is friends of some famous jammers but it's so sad that they're not doing anything :(

It makes me so upset how Animal Jam HQ can just sit there and not try and fix the problem and ban people for silly reasons whereas these disgusting people wander around in the game doing who knows what. As someone who has recently graduated and is now an adult coming back to their very old account, I can say that I take great pleasure in spotting creeps and turning the tables on them. (I just go off on them in public or try to expose them in front of players) But I am thankful this has only happened twice, once in a public area and once in my friend's den (she was 16 and I'm assuming the guy talking to her was in his late 20s). If any other legal adult out here spots this (even if you just turned 18), you should report it. As a legal adult you CAN take legal actions against a predator. edit: To clarify, I try to expose them publicly to hopefully get more people to report them.
I have had multiple cases where people have tried to do the act with me, both on classic and play wild, and they would get all sad and angry at me when I said no so I would block them. Those were only a few cases for me, but I remember this one time this guy began calling me the worst names possible, I won’t say them here, then he told me in my face that my life didn’t matter and he began attacking my beliefs and morals, even their user name was concerning too( fetusmasterr was the user). The good thing is that AJHQ did ban them, but I am afraid people like this are still roaming around on the game and just doing this. And to think now that AJHQ isn’t doing anything about this is just plain stupid, it’s their game after all and they should really do something about it, this is literally laziness and what you said straight up illegal. And how they are just shrugging it off like it’s nothing and calling it “ drama” is just infuriating, it’s not and they should just step up, quit ignoring it, and and do something about the situation, for the game and for the community too or else the game is just gonna tank in popularity. He told everyone around him, who were bashing him, and standing up for me, that we were all bit cheeses, and that we were bullying him.

I'm an older player. I remember starting the game when it just came out. I just trade and sell things in my shop, just busy keeping up a game I spent a LOT of time, effort and money into, so I hope you're not saying ALL older members should be removed. Some of us are just continuing a game we started playing from it's beginning. YES, those preditors SHOULD be removed, no question.

Holy lord this is giving me flashbacks to Warrior Cats on Roblox: There was some rando who made his character look like a dog and he started to pretend to breed with my cat character and the other peoples’ cats. He was saying thinks like “breeds and pees everywhere” and disgusting crap like that to the point that people had to contact the Warrior Cats Roblox mods
I think animal jam HQ maybe thinks that it’s just a roleplay, and doesn’t want to ban someone just for roleplaying in a weird way, though if this is the case (which I really don’t think it is), they need to learn to tell the difference between roleplay and something that is very wrong.

Once about 2 months ago, a user came to my den. They said: (Tw: Implied sexual misconduct) “Do you get it on here?” I said: “Lol yeah” because I realize the situation I was in. I knew that if I got them excited I could block them and do short responses like “Yeah” to make it seem like they were gaining on me. I took screenshots and I have them to this day. I do believe that Animal jam is doing something technical behind the scenes. I really don’t think Animal Jam HQ would blatantly ignore straight up Pedophiles on a game they made specifically made for children. If they don’t implement they’re hypothetical plan soon, the game is going to be RIDDEN, FILTHY, STAINED with Pedophiles. It disgusts me and many other mature players who know better than to follow a suspicious person that AJHQ isn’t at least getting them out of the game like they would with my friend who accidentally typed duck. (NOT EVEN THE ACTUAL WORD, JUST DUCK. THEY WERE SUSPENDED.)
Thank you for speaking out on this! I remember going through this myself. I don't know if the other person was over 18, but it doesn't matter- it's still disgusting to do in a kid's game. I was a fifth grader. Someone hosted a prom role play, so I went. Someone else and I "dated" (5th grade me did not know any better) and soon we started role-playing house. The other player at one point asked if I wanted to pretend to "do it" and also said something during the role-playing along the lines of, "kisses neck, then stops, remembering what she said". I was an absolute IDIOT and did not report, block, or even leave- I didn't ok now about or understand this type of behavior, so I was a bit confused. Only later did I realize how gross it was!

Yeah AJ has been doing a very horrible job on their game so far, AJ allows gr$$ming and inappropriate things. I've had numerous older people on games come after me. Animal jam has gotten solo toxic and it seems they only care about their money. My account was lost due to the October breach and I've told them all the info they need for months and I'm still trying and their staff replied in a not caring and rude way. I don't want to buy membership or support animal jam if they continue not caring about their players and allow this behavior on their game. this happened to me before back when i was 8... there was a guy saying 'girls go to my den' and there was alot of weird stuff. i was quite innocent back then, so i was really confused. he started telling me to do really weird stuff and i got really uncomftable. (idk if he was banned or not bc of his user) there were beds and the poles (if you understand). i did some what he said but i then noticed it was bad. still traumatized to this day. luckily i blocked him, i hope hes gone...
Heynine1 one sent me a jam a gram one time because I said I liked his work, he ended up sending me one of his art pieces, I thought he was just being nice! But I guess I was wrong-

From what I have seen from this video in my recommend. It takes me back where I used to play this game a lot in 5th grade. By this situation right here, I now have a memory of when I used to play the Animal Jam that was like drawn on animals- But, I was probably 9-10 years old when this happened, I was at some random party while I was a member of the time and some Jammer came up to me and asked if I wanted to come to their den, as a oblivious child, I said sure and went to their den. I think it was a Princess Palace den? But, we went upstairs and when I started to play around with dances and other stuff. The Jammer started saying and doing.. "things" towards me. I was confused since I did not know about this kind of stuff at that age, so I just continued what they were doing. Now after a few years and being a 14 year old, I am disgusted for what kind of thing I went through as a small child. Please be safe and do not interact with any Jammer and block them if you see them do stuff like this.

This actually happened to me and it was disgusting. Back in 2016 I was young, at least around 7. At the time I wasn’t mature enough to know these things. A pedophile used cheat words because at the time we didn’t have free chat like we do now in 2021. He asked me how old I was, so blind eye of me, I said “7.” He responds with, “Do you know where you live.” (He said it with cheating with words). I said “********.” So he asked me if we could go to his den. After we went into his den he asked me more personal questions. He said he couldn’t wait to see my face. At that point I felt uncomfortable. I was young and didn’t know what to do in this situation. After I blocked him and unfriended them and told him I would never see you again. And that’s how I almost quit Ajpw forever. Please be aware of predators! Everyone should stay safe and should never have to go through this.
This reminds me of one of my own situations as a kid on the internet who used to e-date on animal jam. I vividly remember being in a relationship with someone who would constantly make inappropriate remarks such as (touches her woo) and constantly asked me to engage in nsfw acts whilst being semi-aware of my age (I say this because I was like 8, I obviously had bad grammar and was one of those “uwu I’m a potato” kids.) not an instance of being groomed (I don’t think.) I remember that their username may have included 16, or clay/pot but idk since it’s been nearly 6 years. I think about this quite a lot and it used to creep me out. I don’t know how this came to end, but I remember seeing him a few years/months prior and meeting his “new gf” who was very kind and obviously very young as well. I hate that this happened to probably likely so many others. Possible usernames Clayton16 Clay16 Pots16 Idk if this helps at all just wanted to share. Edit: I vividly remember him saying he was 17 or 16..

My sister was in the sapphire shop one time, and someone was advertising a party. She went there and there was a panda with peach “fur”. They had the heart pupils and kept doing blushing and heart eyes emojis. Their name was New Jammer so she didn’t know how to report them. For the second their name did show, it was a lot of random letters and characters. She tried to report them then left. A few minutes later, my sister and I decided to look at their profile again. They had the splatter like spots pattern on them in white. EW. We were incredibly worried that they were targeting some other younger child who didn’t know any better!
I love aj, but hearing of this worries me. I have been playing aj for awhile now, and now im very scared to play it. I know how to deal with these types of things such as blocking them, but this is very terrible that people like these are committing these actions. AJHQ needs to take action before this gets out of hand.

When I was 9 it happened to me and I told my mom about it she didn't allow me to play animal jam anymore. I am 14 now I'm old enough to understand (you guys might think it's young but trust me kids know more thank you think) I play quite often and report bad behavior which I actually see quite often and I feel bad for everyone being targeted or has been actually a jammer i did report for harming my friend they are still in game today and I still see them do the harmful things they did to my friend luckily my friend was old enough to realize that it was a disgusting thing.
Its so painful... I would love to play and I had so many friends. One of them was older than me. I was art searching with them and then they told me I was annoying and stupid. I thought that was what I thought (at the time) was the worst thing ever. I knew that animal jam didn't help. Their user was with ø which I didn't know how to use. I couldn't tell animal jam. Now it's worse. Why would anyone do that stuff? We live in a world now where young children now know what THAT is. Animal Jam needs to stop this. Thank you for posting this video to spread awareness

I had a friend who had this problem we got her help and the guy was banned but came back on another account and do it to me it still gives me shivers just to think about it
Me and my friends where hanging around our apartment complex and I had to throw something away and our complex's dumpster is in front of the complex across the road so I went to do my thing and then this older man (30-50) he just starts laughing and then starts clapping his hands I quickly threw it away and ran to my friends and told them and my friends are 8-10 and me 11 when we go to check if he's still there (all together ) and he does it again idk if he was drunk or actually looking at me but either way it was very unsettling
It’s insane, I used to be friends with straycat, hell he used to give me free fares and I’d give him fanart in return. He’s even still on my buddie list from his spares. I didn’t know he was bad till now.

This happened to me once, with a new jammer who turned out to be 30 years old... they got banned later on, but it was still horrible. I used to love animal jam. I played it for 2 years. Heck, I had a birthday themed off of it and it grew my love for red pandas! (One of my favorite animals now.) Do you all remember when there would be school roleplays, trading, family’s, that one “hacker” that was banned and still changed his avatar and house, and being so close to someone that you remember their username for your life, and trading betas? 5:15 ive been scammed out of extremely rare pets, betas, and all sorts of things but i am also a victim of grooming. she was 16, i was 11, and this stuff is WAY more important than scams. aj needs to stop this its actually ridiculous
