Anna F Kolomeytseva - Tail Gunner in a Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik Ground-Attack Aircraft 

Anna F Kolomeytseva was a tail gunner in a Soviet ground-attack tank-buster aircraft and is credited with having shot down a German Bf 109 fighter plane.
She told me she used to tell-off her pilot with great gusto when they were in air battles. Later they got married and spent a happy life together.
In addition to being a successful tail gunner, Anna did six parachute jumps.
I had the great pleasure of photographing and interviewing Anna when I was working on my WWII combat pilot project.
