I'm a type 9 and that was painfully accurate, "What do you want/think?" Is the worse question anyone can ask me because I never know what I want or think probably because I'm too focused on what other people want or think.

still trying to figure out my type...but on the bright side, while watching this video, i realized my mother's a 5. you do a good job making the caricatures still feel like recognizable, full-fledged people - that's a difficult balance.
My mom is a 9 and she has literally said to me, "Tell me what I think about < insert subject >. I know < her friend > is going to ask me and I don't have anything to say." I said, "I can't tell you what you think. I can only tell you what I think. You're going to have to do your own thinking." Her response was, "No, that's too much trouble. Just tell me what you think. It's probably better than what I think anyway." Uuugghh!!!

Haha. I think I am a 2 and my type 5 husband is a micromanager, and he always wants to tell me how to do what I am doing. I just want to zen out and be at peace when I am doing projects, so I reject his help and ask him to step away. It probably annoys him so much because he knows "the way".
As a 1w9, I really related with the drifting off in thought and not listening to people. As someone who avoids conflict and cares about other people, I think listening should be easy for me, but it is often a struggle.
I have a friend who is a five and she usually matches your skits, but for today's, she doesn't match as well. She is VERY pragmatic about things and would not waste her energy packing an unnecessary amount of reading materials. She is also super blunt and would just tell you if she doesn't know something or isn't interested in something instead of wasting everyone's time and energy in pretending. She also would have been fascinated in learning from people who know more than her and is highly aware of her ability level (though she still expects people to be more capable). I think she just taps into slightly different parts of the 5 in these instances, but I could see her doing the dog thing lol. She cares about you but don't expect big displays of affection that are illogical 😂
"You can probably find one of them doubting their qualifications even if they've been studying for decades." I- Already telling truths I'm uncomfortable with. I can know a fact and I'll still say 'I think' or ask to double check if I do know it.
i guess i lock myself in my home or room when i can't manage stress. or disassociate. then do something i wouldn't do to feel adrenline - awaken myself. then cry. then reasses what i spend my time on and what can help me. telling weird things to all people i accidentally saw in process. well, it's more fun for them too. i can't bother people too much because i am trying to flee anyway, just some spice ? anyways i flee b u l l s i t : P - enneagram 8
people may see me as melodramatic, but, actually, i'm just giving them oportunity to deal with major feelings and thoughts. anyway, narrow minded. just kidding. but, not much.
Oh my gosh as a 9 that 1 wow how did you know what l have done 😂😂🤣🤣 that skit 🤣🤣🤣 this was so good when l think about it over the years l have mimicked some of the other types but the longest one was type 7 (for a long time l had a dictator like mindset when it came to my negative feeling and praised my positive like they were royalty 😅 but know l now it very important to give my negative feeling room to show up and speak there mind even if l don't like them. (Think of the happy feeling l feel after dealing with the negative feeling and the inner stability l feel because l delt with it ) 🥰
This was very entertaining. Although I am a 6 married to a 9 and these examples are pretty much exaggerated to the point of being inaccurate. Seems like this was done for views more than being informative.
You can be a five or an eight then have the other as your arrow number! (Look up the picture of the enneagram) Like I'm a Five but I have 8 as my arrow number
healthy 5s move towards 8 (picking up some of 8's good traits) and unhealthy 8s move towards 5 (picking up some 5's traits under stress), you might look into that! :)
Cause conflict to liven things up… When I was a kid, I’d get bored. The only way to get that energy out was to create conflict. I would start things with my siblings, defy my mom. Make life miserable. My mom was an 8, and if the BS was too real at family get togethers, SHE was the one to cause conflict. It def livened things up. If I’m not getting what I need from someone, esp. a partner…I’ll create conflict.
Great skit i couldnt stop laughing for 7. I think I am a 7 I relate to somethings however, I am not 100% sure. i wish someone could just type me *sigh.
