He was truly a gifted actor even as a child.

What an incredible performance from young Master Newley. No wonder he went on to do such wonderful things! I still miss him and his greatness with each passing day! Thank you xxxx

1948.......a great year. Start of the NHS and the year l was born. Baby boomer. No wars, no national service, final salary pensions. Plenty of jobs. Very little crime. Where did it go wrong.

Super stuff. Saw the film in '48. Would love to see it again.

I saw this movie in 1949, and have been a fan of Tony Newley since. Unfortunately, Petula Clark continues to affect me like scratching chalk on a blackboard. I blame all the "Huggett" films for that. georgedog

What an artifact. Yes, I could see the Anthony he would be in later years...but I'm not even sure that's Petula. She looks so different from the Petula of later years.

Will the father let Petula Clark know the truth before going back to normal? I hope everything will be well resolved - especially between Tony Newley and Petula Clark. Sorry, but I'm a foreigner living outside the UK, so I can't get the full movie or even download it.
