A Torrance police officer received a receipt at Pieology Pizzeria that had 'F%*# the cops' typed on it. The employee who served the officer has been fired and the restaurant chain has apologized. Gina Silva reports.
@@SpaceDope. well in all fairness... she DID get cancelled. I know it was probably a real shock to her, but it is precisely what she would have done to those people she disagrees with.
That's what I dont get, couple months ago everyone and their mother hated police. Is everyone else speaking up now or is that just now becoming a problem?
No hun... that's what COMUNIST CHINA DOES. BUT DAMN, OPENLY PROCLAIMING YOUR OWN STUPIDITY, AND DAMAGING YOUR EMPLOYERS BUISNES... BOSS SHOULD SUE THE X-EMPLOYEE FOR DAMAGES.
That’s just as bad as what the employee did. I don’t support what this idiot did, but neither do I support invading peoples privacy. Really stupid comment
@@alienlife7754 It's hardly "private" if it's on an open Facebook page. You place it there because you want everyone to see it. Put it on a "friends only" page if you want privacy.
That is too bad, doesn’t sound like the person felt bad about it either. Unfortunately the young have been emboldened by everyone fanning the flames of disrespect.
Malcoy lots of police are good, just as most people are, but some aren’t. When police do bad things they should feel bad. Lumping all police, all black people, all white people, all ANY people into one prejudged category is wrong and the definition of prejudice. If you don’t want to be prejudged and lumped in as all bad, why do you do it to others? Everyone is responsible for his own actions.
Malcoy I don’t know where you live, maybe that is true, but I know many that are not bad. And the same applies to civilians, when people see bad things and let others do it and don’t turn them in they are part f the problem too. The riots, people turning a blind eye to destroying businesses, cities, many black owned, are just as bad.
Malcoy things are changing, people are becoming more accountable, and they should be. People cover up crimes all the time also. We should all be held to the same standard, people don’t get a pass just because they are not police to do terrible things, and police who do them should be punished. My point is that no one should group all police, all people of any color, all people of any religion, into one group to abuse, malign or make excuses for their bad behavior toward them. Just because some get away with it (and they really don’t, God sees it), doesn’t mean all in any group should be treated like crap. It’s wrong in all it’s forms. See each person as an individual, not as their occupation, political party, color or religion and people will start being more respectful.
Fuck a police officers life. They are a criminal gang that murder & break laws every day & never see the laws of justice they so called supposed to enforce
Yeah, Fox News should've put a black bar over the offensive word (which I assume began with the letter "F") rather than just whited it out and made it look like it didn't exist. That's misleading and confusing.
When I was young and had my first job at Burger King we were told to not charge the police for their meals. It was on the house. We respected the police then and it was reassuring to have them drop by.
@inside outside upside downside Not enough and see back then we actually respected them. A routine traffic stop or domestic call could end in tragedy. And it is worse nowadays and people are spitting on them. They are afraid to order food now cause people have put glass and God awful stuff in their food. I know there are bad cops just as there are bad people in every segment of society. The bad ones should be rooted out. But I don't believe in disrespecting all of them cause of the few bad.
These people are refusing and having police so much. I hope and pray they never need to call one when they get robbed or attacked. Actions ALL actions big or small have conseqences
@@johnstrickland3933 I know what you mean I do the same thing. Its good to know who you can be nice to and who you cant'. i have respect for the police given they dont know if they will ever make it home to their own families.
Small businesses are having tough times right now,... They don't have time for idiots that chase away their customers for them. With unemployment going up each and every one of those d-bags is replaceable.
in the small town I live in the police are great people and when one is noticed in a restaurant eating someone will pay for the meal for the policeman, also happens for military personnel in uniform, we appreciate the job they do and the risks they take to make a living.
@@arthurwilson4839 but I have seen the rest of the world and did not like what I saw and that is why I live in my little slice of heaven far removed from the crazy world.
This is what I call a FEEL GOOD STORY. Certainly not feel good in terms of how cops are disrespected, but the ending is a deserved one. No employee should feel they are impervious to consequences from their despicable actions.
If that was my business, I'd press charges against the former employee and offer cope free food for a while after publicly letting them know how valued they are. What a nightmare that would be to find out an employee did that.
Pops150 20 yr old ,Ike 95% of these brainwashed libtards. No real life experience and no experience with racism as the vast majority are white. They just know what someone told them.
DId I miss something? All I saw was "The Cops" on a receipt. Unless the "cop" in question found crushed glass, dog doo or some other nastiness on his food, I say this "issue" has been way overblown!
This guy made a stand for his belief getting fired from a pizza job ain't nothing. This is another example of how Caucasian people are out of touch with reality
+mishal Adara I wasn't aware this supposed to be a racial thing. Glad you're here to tell us. But if you could remind me the color of the guy that wrote that on the bill that would be great. Thanks.
Yeah but there is a reason why a lot of restaurant workers are doing this now days. There is a reason for all this animosity especially when bad cops (Not all police are bad) are exposed on the news or on the internet. When they are not held accountable for there actions and when regular civilians are charged to the max it creates a sense of an unfair and biased system thats going to lead to scenarios such as this. Where cops get off the hook for abusing people or not upholding there oaths. People don't like it when you pay someone to do a job and they don't do it. Things like this are the result. The thing is it's not really the restaurant workers fault or that of the police. It's actually the systems rules and regulations that allows bad behavior from certain police officers to go unpunished. Until police are held at the same standards like everyone else. Things like this are going to continue to happen.
@@arthurwilson4839 Hey Arthur, it's been over 9 months now and I was wondering if you could provide evidence or statistics proving the empty and pathetic statement you just made?......
Wow I am laughing my ass off I didn't even know this was a story. A police officer gets his feelings hurt over a little message on a receipt, while my ass was getting verbally assaulted for six years working in retail and still have to smile throughout my whole shift. Throw a damn spine, not everyone is going to have the same feelings towards police because police have done absolutely nothing for me and my family and that's my opinion, doesn't mean I'm going to hate my neighbor because he's Pro police or leave death threats.
Further proof that our schools have done a poor job of educating young people today. For whatever reason, that girl thought she was doing the right thing. Probably because no one ever told her that being rude to customers is a sure way to lose your job.
Sometimes its not about ideology - most kids don't even know what ideology is or that they have one. Sometimes they are just expressing a rebellious streak, and want to see how much they can get away with. They don't have the foresight to comprehend the consequences. Most kids are too self-absorbed. And I do still consider many over 20 years old kids.
adrian Jo so...what was the word? We're not in kindergarten. They say everything else on tv. So what's the big secret? From what they want me to see is the cops
Yeah, "whiting" it out like that is misleading and poorly conceived. Makes it look like there was no word there at all. Fox News should've just put a black bar over the offending word instead, so at least the viewer can see that there was a word there.
Yeah if I was the owner I'd comp his meal next time of send a few large pizzas to the station this is nothing compared to how much money he could lose in bad press.
Piology, at least that store needs to deliver a dozen pizza's weekly for awhile. No one deserves that kind of treatment, least of all a paying customer.
Like Great Britain where the cops don't carry guns, which makes it difficult to "accidentally" shoot and kill a black kid armed with a bottle of snapple, or his car keys.
Kari Fredrikson God bless you for not having any problems with law enforcement but in New York City sweetheart as a black woman or a black man they will stop you for no apparent reason I got stopped for just riding my bike and lived in the neighborhood and was cashing my check and I've been stopped more times than you would ever believe since the time I was 16 to now and they're going to continue to do it too many black people you need to take that into account sweetheart
I'd really like to see a moment where the officer gets a chance to speak to the young lady. Maybe help her reconcile with her own issues. Then possibly try to help her get her job back. Would make for a good movie, anyway.
Tony Carver You wrote one short sentence... With six grammatical errors. # 1. Your Quotation Marks (“ “) are in the wrong place and they weren’t necessary. # 2. I Am should have been “I’m” # 3. If you thought “I Am” was correct... Why did you use the Uppercase A? # 4. Ellipsis... There should only be three of them ... # 5. i should have been Upper not Lowercase. # 6. You left out the word, “of” So... Are you sure you aren’t Donald Trump?
I think I'd be more concerned that the employee had spat on it or worse. What a stupid way to lose your job. Her reference for her next interview should be interesting.
People like this fired employee are a liability to all businesses who hire her. A database need to be formed for these employees so that employers know the risk of hiring them. If you can't be professional at work, you don't need the job.
Such a system will put more strain on the welfare system since most of the people will be minim wage workers. If someone cannot get a job they'll just request more assistance from the government.
The only reason someone would be fearing for their life while getting lunch because cops are there are criminals who are either carrying a gun or have a warrant. That lady needs to just get real.
Jessica Domann I say CNN has certain viewers that see the system as its designed to specifically hold them down meaning if your a officer trying to uphold the law you are automatically guilty of being a power hungry racist. Cnn is the brewers of this ideaology .Why wouldn’t someone take that as a reason to disobey the law .It is causing anarchy
You know if things like this happens from people from a part of the population that has been raised in a bad culture and parents shoving racism down their throats and not letting their children integrate and befriend people from other cultures I can see business just start to generalize and not hire certain people because they have a notion that they are messed up in the head and unfit for the job.
I hate how an entire company gets reprimanded for the horrible acts of a single employee. As one business owner to another, select your staff carefully.
a lot of authority figure would abuse their power . i have seen it many times . i am not being a jackass just stating anything can happen . It is a big world . Maybe he was bullied before and now take it on this police . This could be a reason , there is a usually a reasonn
I would have no problem getting arrested by a cop if I actually did something that was against the law. That said I wouldn't want to get "fucked" by the police. That happens when you go to prison.
The last time five guys was dropped from my list of places to eat. Now I wil never walk into a pieology again. You would think with business being the way it is today every customer would be valued.
I am surprised any LEOs go to any restaurants in uniform because you never know when some idiot is going to do something this or something actually dangerous.
This is the same reason I no longer support Starbucks coffee. 23 years in law enforcement and see this everyday. I only go to places that are cop friendly and trust that they don't spit in my food or drink. Just be nice to everyone please. Cops are people too.
