Another ebay find. This one also didn't run. Seller said motor hums but doesn't spin. Was also able to revive it with some 3 in 1 oil. This one took allot of oil to get going again. It is also missing parts of the gearcase that makes it Oscillate back and forth. This one will also be repainted. Not much I can do about the missing gearcase parts.

I have this exact same fan but I think maybe a year or 2 newer. It has the newer blade guard design. But everything else is the same. The switch is in the base. Where that second hole is on top of the base there near where the plug comes in. Mine has a switch right there. It has 3 speeds so I think whoever had this before just bypassed the switch all together.

It’s a three speed on the bottom left. The top hole is for the oscillator.

The switch was mounted in the base on the back

Wow, that thing really runs like a top, beautiful! I would have definitely done a Safety Third and jammed the wires in the outlet to see if it ran first, but whatever. You might consider (if the base is open completely) making a "strain relief" with hot glue for the wire so it doesn't pull out. Or, if room permits, tie a knot in the cord (this will mean taking the plug back off so you can pull it back through, of course). Too bad about the gearcase, but hey, it runs and runs well, and that's the point.

One other thing the blades are made out of a plastic resin. It is called micarta. Hopefully you didn't sand blast the blades

I think it’s maybe 2/ and or two or so because my dads girlfriends friend who is also the sister of our family guy friend or so have 1/and or on one rather in there house and I think it has 2 speeds. And if I haven’t already said it by now or so then they means her and her husband
