Truth is 1) you need money 2) a very convincing personal statement 3) contacts This is for the research program alone. If you want to into hms or residency or fellowship other shitty factors also come into play

It's true people go abroad for medical care but going abroad as a medical doctor to study in a prestigious institution like harvard is next to impossible with only hard work n study.
