APPLE CRUMBLE RECIPE:
COOK TIME : 60 - 70 MINS TOTAL
COOK TEMP: 400 DEGREES
APPLE FILLING:
🔸6 -7 APPLES (WE ARE USING HONEY CRISP)
🔸2 TBSP LEMON JUICE
🔸1 TSP SALT
🔸2 TBSP SUGAR
🔸3/4 TSP CINNAMON
TOPPING (CRUMBLE):
🔸1 CUP FLOUR
🔸1/2 TSP SALT
🔸2 TSP WATER
🔸1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
🔸6 TBSP BUTTER
🔸1/2 CUP SLICED ALMONDS
🔸2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
🔷Step 1:
Cut apples into large dice and put into mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice, salt, cinnamon, sugar.
🔷Step 2:
Cover the apples with tin foil and cook @ 400 degrees for 30 - 45 mins depending on your stove. Gas stove should take 30 mins and electric might take 45 mins.
🔷Step 3:
While apples cook down start making the crumble topping. Mix flour, brown sugar, salt, sliced almonds, butter, and little water.
🔷Step 4:
When the 30 - 45 mins is up remove apples from oven and spread the crumble mixture onto the stop and place back in oven uncovered for an additional 30 mins or until topping is crisp and apples have cooked down. Enjoy with whip cream or ice cream.
