I have a pico 4. I basically can do this with my pico connect app. Using it as an additional screen. Also can game and watch movies. Lots of app support..not at much as quest 3 but still it's amazing what this thing can do. And the battery life out shines quest 3 and vision pro. So ya I don't think I need this. The pico 4 is amazing kit
@Brandon Talbot ---- Like about 200 thousand people, it's sold out of the initial allotment. Are you surprised? Apple has 2 billion active devices owned by 1.4 billion users. Selling under a million Vision Pros is child's play for them. Took them just a few days.
Dude, in 1984 I paid $2500 for my first Macintosh computer: adjusted for inflation = $7400. I bought a new one every year for my photo stiudio in NYC. In 1986 I paid $7000 for Apple’s first laser printer: $13k adjusted for inflation.

How much is a smart Tv, laptop, and a high level headset. It’s about $10,000 vs $4,000 it’s a steal of a deal and it separates the scammers, and regular users from people who wants to see this industry grow respectfully.
For 3500 I would expect it to be wayyyy better than quest 3 and have sum new features but NOO meta quest 3 does the same thing apple vr does apple just does it “better” I’ll buy one one in 2030 when it’s cheaper and less heavy

If the only good thing about this is a portable movie theater screen, I will buy Xreal’s glasses. It needs to have a lot of futuristic features, and even then, the fact that xreal exists makes me hesitant to buy this.

No, here's why: - I can imagine air traffic controllers and the military will find the Apple Vision Pro useful to show many screens simultaneously that are 150-400 inches each...that's a lot of information. - Current F16 figher helmets are $400k each with just a HUD, whereas the AVP could be incorporated into a helmet for far less than $400k. - Infantry soldiers wearing a helmet with the AVP. - AVP's passthrough is 120 degrees which allow real world interaction with the firearm, target, throwing/catching. - I want to get the Apple Vision Pro, it's not that expensive compared to a great home theater, and people don't realize that it's got eye tracking (no mouse cursor), an 8k screen, many many 300 in screens, 3D camera, spatial audio speakers, creates an Imax or the biggest commercial theater screen size even when you're sitting in a tight coach airline seat. - the eye tracking (replaced a cursor) us a game changer. - way easier to develop than Facebook Quest. - AVP is not constrained to a box game model like the Quest, instead the AVP world model is infinite. - air traffic controllers can see the perspective of a commercial plane pilot landing. - The AVP's many many virtual 150in-300in screens can replace a commercial airline cockpit's many physical screens, and that physical space can hold more important physical equipments.
We bought 2 of them fully specked out. I think it’s going to make some people very rich. I can just imagine all the new spatial video content going to be created, people who work in video, photography, art, XXX industry, live sports, education and school etc. I think it will take some time grow, but i think future generations we will see a SE, Pro and Max versions of the Apple Vision Pro. Cheaper ones that will be more affordable. I didn’t think it was that expensive 💁
It’s worth the price because it’s finally a good product. It’s not for everyone but it’s good and will push such products in general. There is a whole MacBook inside with 2 chips. Compared to that with a screen and that it’s a nice product is pretty reasonable Will be cheaper in the future.
I am super excited to see where they can go with this type of device. I initially rolled my eyes when they prepped the price announcement with talks of how much would a big tv, Mac, and sound system would cost more than this thing. But then the idea that I can have a computer with almost infinite screens at all different sizes is cool. probably needs to be lighter and cheaper still before I hop on board. A lot of people are saying with one is more of a developer kit that normal people can buy and I can agree with that concept.
Yeah I’m hearing that as well - as a buyer I’m like oof. That hurt. But I remember the first time I tried an Oculus Quest 2 and it just blew my mind - and something tells me this will dust that. And maybe that feeling wears off really fast but I gotta try to know - and sometimes you gotta go all in as they say when your job is sharing cool tech

I can travel on a plane with my Quest 3 and I wouldn't need to use controllers I've done it before and the Apple Vision Pro doesn't support my Macbook Pro as it has a Intel chip and I would have to use a 3rd party app for it to work and they did the wrong thing in my opinion as I think apple should have just released AR Glases as they could do the samething to me it's just a Quest 3 with better cameras and pass through and slightly more processing power
Hilarious intro! Well done! I work from home and if Apple Vision Pro can allow me to work like I can in the physical world than maybe just maybe I will buy it but not at $4500! I predict if this is successful, they will come down in price to $1500 so I will just have to wait and see.
Yeah I love how seamless they made that transition from the MacBook Pro to the AVP but we’ll see how seamless it really is. And if it is my oh my it’s gonna change things
Yea...Apple should have waited longer before releasing... Like, there are no good use-cases, OTHER than consuming media. If that is what you are going for, then why not spend 3k on a beautiful OLED television?
Well they are already somewhat late to the party, and not disagreeing with you but the AVP and a beautiful OLED are going to give completely different immersion experiences.
I'm still waiting to see killer apps for it. The meta Quest can technically do everything it does for a fraction of the price. I could understand this thing being $2,000 I think it's fate is in the hands of Developers
i have yet to try out an avp when it arives to apple stores. But the major difference to the meta quest is how much of insane tech is in the vision pro. it has so many lidars and so many cameras. It should deliver an incredibly imersive experience. You can’t compare to an oled, since the avp will feel more like sitting in a cinema. 3500 is way to expensive but if the experience delivers in sure a lot of people are willing to spend 1500-2000 for a vision pro.
Definitely not rich, just had barely enough to put it on the Apple Card lol but this channel is about cool tech so I felt like I needed to cover it. I might get burned though it happens sometimes
