Davey creeps me out. He went with their 17 year old exchange student Susi to her physical at the doctors. I was so creeped out by that, and poor Susi probably felt so uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want my own dad to go with me for a physical let alone a stranger! Susi had only known Davey for a few days at that point. It was really inappropriate. April should have taken her.

I got such super creepy vibes from the interactions between Zade and Davy and the exchange student Suzie! Zade very clearly had a crush, but he acted somewhat possessive around her, and Davey just was an outright creep! He went along when she went shopping for a dress for her first school dance so he could 'approve' of her dress! So they obviously had to hide all this info from the exchange student program too, or the kids would have been removed. I have an aunt who has taken in exchange students for decades now, and they check out the host families very carefully. I wonder if the program has seen any of the videos though?
So many inappropriate things happening in this house for their to be exchange students in their care. The parents HAVE to know by now. This is negligent on the part of the company that arranges these places for exchange students and also the parents of the exchange students. The ADULTS dressed up like your kids and pretended to kiss as clickbait for millions on the internet and you as a company or a parent of those kids are not AT ALL concerned???!! Something is seriously wrong here. That company should be sued and so should this family. The parents of these kids are also shady for allowing their children to be in this environment. I wonder if the girls parents know that one of their sons who sounds like he has a creepy crush on her almost killed someone by stabbing them... ALL of the adults in this situation are out of line.
@ Sharp Life Uhh, maybe not abnormal for a biological father, but that is ABSOLUTELY abnormal and inappropriate for a man to do with a child that does not belong to him and has only known him for less than a year. That’s not normal at all. That’s creepy and crossing a line. That girl may have lived in their home temporarily, but Davey is not her father, and there should be boundaries in place preventing such behavior. It is not his place to “approve” of anything she wears, especially as a man who she has only known for a very short period of time. That’s a delicate and personal situation for her actual parents to handle.

Law enforcement & forensic specialists consider stabbing as a more personal crime of violence over gun because u have to get close to the person & depending on how, u look the person in the eyes. They say people who commit stabbing as more dangerous because they can look someone directly in the eye & inflict potentially deadly acts on them & not have remorse. It’s horrible that a teen has that ability.
I’m 43 years old but I feel like family vlogging and foster kids and now exchange students which just burns me up, it’s like we’re in the height of the drug wars before I was even born. It’s the newest thing the laws haven’t caught up with and it’s disgusting.
They can afford an $800 an hour lawyer but cry poor and say they can’t afford Eb’s arthritis medications that she needed to have that was very expensive. And then they got it funded for them I’m sorry but there are families and people out there that should have got the medication funded not them

I would assume it's because the stabbed boy's family is also Morman, from what I understand they handle a lot of that "stuff" within the church *eyeroll*. From a quick curious search the stabbed kid is still doing ballroom so I wonder if that's still with Zade. The older sister, perhaps the one who commented about the incident a while back, is ex-morman so maybe why she commented on the situation because she wasn't scared of church repercussions and everyone else in that community is. I've watch the Orgills before and the dad is creepily overzealous and just something about him gives me an off vibe as everyone else has said and the mom just seems overwhelmed and well...mormon and both make a living by showcasing their family. I'm sure just like every family they didn't broadcast this incident bc that's not something you want out there but like you said they aren't just like every ordinary family they broadcast their lives to the world for monetary purposes. I wouldn't be surprised if you got some legal letter about this even though you've done nothing wrong. When I was being raised Mormon, if children did things like this they were sent away. To their family in other places. Then they went to a new ward with grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins. I met a kid who was sent to live with grandpa a month ago. I left Mormonism 25 years ago. When I had negative emotions I was told to go pray for an attitude adjustment. This taught me to mask my negative emotions, and deny they existed, unless I was alone.
That pent up aggression is normal in children. What’s not normal is STABBING. Thats not normal at all. A slap or a smack would have sufficed. He walked away and had time to cool off but instead went back to stab the other kid (who was also very wrong). A scuffle I understand, and don’t expect everyone to be sent to jail for. That child is lacking or repressing something HUGE. Wouldn’t shock me if he’s gay or has been physically abused and reprimanded constantly. Wouldn’t surprise me if the boy is just not getting the cognitive behavioral therapy and help he needs for undiagnosed mental health issues because of their religion.

I think they made most of their money years ago when they had a second channel (I forget what it was called- Super Kids?) but they all dressed up in superhero and princess costumes and did silent skits. The whole family took part in the villain versus superhero skits. I remember seeing that each video had millions of hits within days. I was amazed thinking of all the $ they were making for something so simple and silly.

A cheap lawyer would convince a DA not to press charges. Basically the kid who got stabbed also assaulted him and could face charges. So likely the family of the kid didn’t want to go ahead. Thank you for exposing this!!! So good to have someone speaking up. I would hate to live or be in the same community as some of these family vloggers. They merge together like a bunch of hyenas. I watched an Instagram clip recently of April making faces and mocking another parent in a gymnasium. I knew at that point, they are like "mean girls" but "mean parents" and the child's behavior is merely a reflection of the parents. How and why they're allowed to host these exchange students is beyond me.
I used to watch this family until I really began to understand the dangerous nature of family vlogs and how it exposes their kids to creeps and pedos. I thought they were fun and quirky before. But the older kids seemed not to enjoy being on videos. I do remember in one video them talking about Z getting suspended for fighting. I was kinda like why expose that on RU-vid. So I understand trying to keep this story private. Hopefully he got the help he needed. He seems very, very unhappy and sad.
Wow from foster children to exchange students…. Then transing kids… poor kids being used for money whether through the internet or through insurance and hospitals. Sigh.
The fact that this teenage boy only got a minor slap on the wrist for attempting to murder another kid is just downright offensive and awful to that other kid’s parents who not only almost lost their son because of this but most likely also had to pay enormous amounts of medical bills for the surgery and time spent in the hospital. This kid should have had to face way more repercussions for not only the physical damage that he inflicted upon this other kid but also the emotional damage that they now have to live with for the rest of their life. If you’re someone or know someone else who has ever been stabbed or shot you know that kind of trauma never goes away no matter how much therapy you get.
Based on watching, he comes across neurodivergent. Not that it makes it okay, but if his processing ability isn't at social norm then that could come into play when issuing discipline. Don't talk about a minor! It's pitiful. You should be ashamed. You just drew attention to something that could negatively impact a child's life. So gross!!!

I was an exchange student and lived with a new family for a year. I had to switch families mid-way because it was such a poor fit owing to their hyper-religiosity. I absolutely would NOT want that experience anywhere online--teenage years are already tough, and navigating a new culture and family norms made it even harder. I'd consider sending my child abroad but, knowing my experience, would never in a million years send her into an influencer family (let alone one that stabbed a different kid).
I want to start by saying I am a huge advocate for what you do here but I am conflicted about this video. It feels like his parents made sure this issue was not publicised (perhaps for the wrong reasons ie. to keep their image untainted) but for you to do a video highlighting what this child did feels a little exploitative. I understand your ‘why’ behind doing this video, that the parents are at fault for his behaviour due to their exploitation of him and that he should have been charged but he is clearly struggling and for this to be shared with the world by you feels wrong..
I kinda agree with your statement. Josh and many other RU-vidrs who do videos on family floggers consistently say "don't put everything about your kids in your videos, they are entitlted to privacy, etc." So which one is it, they deserve privacy (which it seems like this is what the parents were trying to do) or they don't. Don't get me wrong, what Zade did was terrible, but he is a kid and made a mistake. Although this was a bigger deal than most mistakes teenage boys make, it was still a mistake. A lot of people suspect they have money problems. Seems like recently they do a lot of their vlogs on endorsing products and they also sponsor Foreign Exchange students. They get paid for that. Hosting a exchange student gets you at east 1,000 a month. Last I knew a F1 student definitely gets money. The way they spend money they need every penny. I read their last house made them house poor.

Josh this is so interesting because I useed to watch this family. Davey has always made me skeeved out - he is gross. Anyway, I didn't know the timing of stabbing but what isi interesting is that historically you could observe Zade in the videos and he didn't want to be filmed. (Especially shown when April was making these hokey family clogging outfits Zade really did NOT want to be part of it...Daisy either) However shortly after that time all of sudden you can observe a different Zade, so I'm sure that he was manipulated by his parents into doing exactly as they said so it shows a willing happy Zade. I'm a career RN. For 40 years. That looks like 24 to 30 sutures. It took some rage to cut someone like that. When I was in nursing school, my biggest fear was having to 'stab' someone with a needle.
