You do need to know when your daughter starts her period. My family was girls only so no boy puberty for my dad to walk though but it’s good for dads to know and for your daughter to know that if mom is out of town or unable to be contacted for any reason, that you’re there to get her what she needs without any judgment Or awkwardness. But yeah, the whole world doesn’t need to know lol.

@@TheKnallkorper I would try to be prepared for them as well, but he asked if that was something he needed to know and I think the reasonable answer is yes. He’s the dad and that important info to know and his daughter should know that dad knows and is ready to help if she needed anything. I’m honestly confused (just because I didn’t expect to get any sort of response on this at all), like did people grow up where this was a secret from their dad? Maybe my dad was just a girldad through and through but if he went to the store and tampons were on the list, he bought them. He had at least one tampon and pad in his truck in case we needed them. If you have daughters that’s just part of being a parent. Like I said, I only had sisters so there were just daughters, but that’s just part of being a parent in my opinion. My husband and I have 1 daughter and another on the way and that is info he will know and be prepared to help with if either one of them ever called and needed him.

@@abbyz6767 I agree with you. Josh should know and be ready to help his daughter in regards to her period. It's good for dads to know about their daughter's health and be able to help her with things she needs. If my mom or I would need products from the store he would go in buy them and walk out sans a bag. Yet my mother and I were always to embarrassed to buy them. We both were taught it was shameful to be on our periods, be shunned and made fun of, yet my father was like, meh. So my advice to Josh would be to make your daughter fill safe in talking to you about these things. Even if it grosses you out and makes you want to gag, listen and gag later. There might be times when her mother isn't available to help for whatever reason and she will need to feel safe talking about what her body is going through.

I just found this channel and I am glad someone is speaking up! I started my RU-vid channel last year and people asked me are you going to be filming with your kids? My response has always been and will always be NO. I have no right to make that decision for them. I still don’t understand how parents would not want to protect their children. That is one of our responsibilities as parents people!! Anyway thank you Josh for brining light to this ongoing issue.

This was so incredibly disgusting. Definitely cringe on a new level. That poor girl. I can barely watch I feel like it's such an invasion of privacy. The fact that they left their SICK daughter in charge of their school kids so they could go shopping, is also disgusting. Thank you for covering this. I've never heard of this family, thank God, but they need to be covered for this.

I got my period when I was like 11, and I was mortified. I have a mother, and an older sister, and no one explained it to me. Not once. I thought I was just hemorrhaging. I’m glad they’re not stigmatizing it, but filming it is extreme.

The last thing I wanted was for my dad to know when I started. These parents are not helping their kids. It only benefits them because they get views and money. She’s shaking because she probably didn’t want to tell her mom because then she knew she’d have to do it again for the camera.

This was so weird. Can't speak for anyone else obviously, but I only told my mum as I needed things. I guess my dad figured it out as every now and then his daughters would be curled up into balls hugging a hot water bottle lol. He also did all the shopping for our house so he somewhere along the line learned what to buy (guess my mum told him?) and we kept it stocked in the house. There was no shame, but also no crazy announcements like this lol

LOL!!!!!!!! Josh, I started mine when I was NINE. Just saying...and my family had the 2020 plaque which manifested itself (Get what I did there?) with sore throats and allergy-type symptoms. Oh...and fun fact...it was spread to us by our Music Pastor (whom we love). This vlog was weird.

My youngest cried for a week when she got her period. We had talked about it previously and knew what it was but was so upset it was happening. She would have probably ran away from home if I announced it to the whole family and then the world.

My biggest criticism of this family (besides the ‘too-much-information’ problem) is this: if you aren’t going to actually TEACH your children, then send them to a school. We homeschooled our sons for a few years. It can work very well. But I get the feeling that these parents aren’t doing much teaching.

As a grown woman I would be sooooo embarrassed if my first period was on the internet!! My mother didn't make it a big deal when I got mine because it's not a big deal!! If people who make these videos for the sake of "education " or helping other girls in similar situations then the moms should be the ones that make the period kit videos and explaining how to use things, etc. The young girls DO NOT need to be in these videos!

It’s our jobs to protect them and to be an example…AND PARENT. It’s parents like this that when their kids grow up and move away they wonder why they hate them.

As a girl with 3 brothers I didn't even want them to know when my period started and begged my mum to make sure they didn't find out. Imagine being a young girl and praying that your brothers don't find out and the brothers of all your friends in school and just every boy you ever knew in general. It's beyond cruel to put your daughters time of the month out their for the world. It's bad enough trying to deal with all the hormones going through your body without going through it and being on the internet FOREVER!!! Any parent who does this SUCKS!

My daughter is eleven and I have a feeling she's going to start hers soon, so I actually do send her with "emergency supplies" anytime she's going to be away from me/ home. She's still super worried that she'll get it away from home, but at least she'll have what she needs. Still, it wasn't wrong that your mom wasn't ready. Kids are maturing younger and she probably wasn't thinking of it. I know if mine had gotten hers two years ago, we all would have been unprepared!

When I first got mine, if my mom had a camera in my face while I was experiencing this and dealing with this. And again the daughter thinks this is NORMAL!! Yeah I used to watch too many family vloggers until I realised they were just exploiting their kids. Jonathan Sacconejoly seems to be the king of exploitation. Poor Éduardo when he grows up and realises just how much of his private life is out there for everyone to see he’s going to be one screwed up teenager.
