Love the projects for April!

I really like the Pressed Flowers socks! I think they were a great choice. I'm always excited to see the older projects get worked on as well. I know you don't mind how long things take, but it's so satisfying to see something get finished that's been on the needles for months or years. I'm trying out my own dice game this month. Instead of using your prompts, I've written my own so that I can have categories that make sense for me. I rolled "closest to completion", which will be my Sevrine Cardigan, "scrappy project" which will be some socks with colourwork flowers that have been on the needles since 2021, "shawl", which I had quite a few options for, but I think I've decided to get back to a beaded lace shawl I'm making for a friend's wedding, and "most exciting", which is my version of your mood prompt. I haven't decided for that one yet, but I'm a little bit tempted to cast on something new!

I have far too many WIPs (around 50!😳) and really want to get that number down - thinking 25 is an achievable aim for 2024. Just need to stop casting things on 😂😂😂😂 here's to a crafty April!!

I hope your family member gets good results 🤞🏻 You have some lovely projects to work on for the month. The blanket is a great idea for portability. I was watching and working on my Traveller Cowl that I'm making out of some older handspun. I had to get more of the fibre because I don't think I'll have enough. I'll need everyone's positive thoughts if I have to spin some Nube again 🤣 At least the yarn I have is hilariously thick and thin, so it won't matter too much if it's felted and a total disaster to spin 😜

I am sorry that you have a close person with health issues - hopefully you will get some good news soon. The Selbu socks are beautiful. I am working on a pair of DK socks at the moment - no matter what I try, my feet are always cold despite wearing hand knit 4ply socks, being under a duvet and a blanket. Come on, Spring 🪻🌷!! Jinny

BUT I started a Triangulum Blanket by Ellie Jones (aka Craft House Magic) to use up a bunch of mini skeins that were calling to me. Oh SO close to getting my name picked!! I did it! I finished Sleeve Island Challenge for my 6 garments. 4 are now wearable sweaters and the 2 cardigans still need the buttonband/shawl collar. I also finished a pair of socks last night as I was almost to the toe of the 2nd sock. Today I finished the 1st sock of another pair which were also mid foot. As a reward, I purchased some clearance yarn from my local LYS and have cast on for the Cupcake Sweater (bulky). I am still not sure what I want to work on yet, but I think April is going to be cast on a few but try to work on and finish as many WIPs as I can. I have set a new challenge for April - All the WIPs finished. I know I have way too many to finish them all, but I would like to finish a fair few. Monday I plan to also cast on Stor Stormer which is a stranded yoke (aran). Both the new sweaters should go rather quickly as they are heavier weight yarn. I hope all the tests come back with good results. I am glad you also found portable projects to work on if traveling lots. Tell James he needs to get his drivers license!. Here is to lots of crafting in April. xx

When I made a list of projects on the go and soon to be cast on, I found I had exactly 20, so this month I used your 4 dice rolls to choose from the list. I'm going to be working on my Grayling mitts, skrabucket, a beady little bag, and an embroidery project. I'm also hoping to finish up a sweater that only needs a cuff and some sewing up.

I got some dice recently and I'm really excited to use them to help me work through my wips, instead of forgetting about the ones that have been on the needles for a while! I've been having such a hard time focusing on any specific project recently, I've been losing interest so fast, and I feel like this will really help. Hoping for positive news for your family member with health issues x Joining in with your dice game - I don’t crochet so will do some macrame as an alternative craft in April. I am a novice spinner so will take hand spun as a prompt to get my drop spindle out and practice. I have finished all but 3 of my 12 cast ons so I have chosen the cowl to free up a big project bag for a planned birthday cast on later this month. Finally the random number generator pointed me to some socks started months ago with a mistake in that need ripping back, correcting and finishing. All the best with your projects

Hi Ange! I’m back to my knitting. A quite nice looking doctor gave me a cortisone shot, and a few weeks later, I’m much better. Unfortunately, my friend Ellen talked me into helping her with a shawl….#13, I have two donation knits (baby cardis) #14, #15. My mother-in-law wants a cardigan. ( Walk the Line) #16, and then I somehow cast on Saven by Meghan Babin for my son-in-law. #17. Um….can someone tell me how this happened. Love all your plans. Take care.
