The degree of customer empathy by Aptera is just amazing. Great use of digital media to reach the audience to explain the "objections" and naysayers.

I really appreciate the frequency that Aptera put out videos, even just short ones like this. So many companies starting up in the EV market have dead social media channels that make you question their existence... Keep it coming guys!

The shot around 2:20 is very useful. Seeing it next to regular cars gives me a good idea of it's size and the space it needs. Because of it's unconventional shape it's hard to get a feel how big it is just looking at pictures in isolation.

I’m still curious about the turning radius. Any chance y’all have shown/will show a turning radius demonstration?

The only one here I was worried about was the wheel change. Will have to see it with the full production model. Rear wheel looks to be the hardest so lets see that one please.

Myth 5, "The Aptera will have an extremely wide turning radius". Please debunk that one in the next episode. The Aptera did fit in the standard parking space, but it was very tight at the front wheels.

I'm glad they cleared the air on the wheel removal process. The motor is an actual hub that the wheel mounts too instead of being integrated with the wheel. Glad to know.

One question, since the cooling comes from the "skin" of the vehicle, won't the black option inhibit cooling, at least to a degree? Or does it come entirely from the undercarriage, which never gets direct sunlight? Second, I'd recommend that anyone with an Aptera ALWAYS park as far forward in the parking stall as possible and NEVER back in. It will be too easy for thoughtless/distracted drivers, particularly in taller vehicles, to see the body of the Aptera, and assume it is much further away and begin turning their vehicle prematurely, not seeing the protruding wheels. Just something to keep in mind.

4 requests / questions: 1) Can you address road clearance? I'm specifically concerned about driveways with a steep incline. 2a) Can the Aptera go through a traditional carwash? 2b) If not, how frequently will the solar panels need to be washed to maintain efficiency? 3) Will there be hooks or anything in the trunk space to help secure items in the back? 4) Will there be any outlets in the dash or seat divider for charging external devices like mobile phones?

These nice debunk-footages will help me to convince some sceptic friends, although they certainly will want to see them from different angles (drive-thru, fetching/feeding the ticket at a parking lot) and in slightly different situations (as ingress/egress the Aptera, and showing that a "low ceiling" of a parking house isn't a problem).

The biggest myth is that the car is small. Its actually a decent size

Thanks Quincy for not only answering the questions, but showing how well the Aptera works in real life! My only question is since I ordered the 400 mile, full solar, AWD model will I have to wait much longer for the AWD option. I understand that the 400mi/FWD models will be the first built, and I am willing to give up AWD to get mine earlier if i need to, but the extra power of the rear motor is really exciting to me, and I would love to keep that feature without delaying delivery too long. I am OK if control features like torque vectoring and such are not initially available.

If you have $200M burning a hole in your pocket, please invest in Aptera. They deserve to make it.

How much vertical travel does the front suspension allow? Related question… Does the rear wheel have an suspension to dampen trips over pothole filled streets?

Good, helpful video, thanks! Questions: 1. Is Aptera being tested in COLD climates? California is a lot different than here in semi-rural Nova Scotia where I live. I want to know how well the car will deal with cold temperatures....how much range will be lost when using the heating system? How effective is the defroster, etc? 2. If the batteries need to be replaced at some point (or removed for maintenance) or the owner wishes to upgrade to newer-tech batteries or a larger pack sometime down the road, how are the batteries accessed? Are they removed and installed from below or does the interior have to come out?

I'd love to know more specifically about what the safety pilot package will add to Aptera!

My question is if battery packs are upgradeable. Say you ordered the 600 miles and a year later you want the 1000 miles range. (i assume so because it would be cheaper to make one body)

the drive thru one is a bit dishonest imo. the size of the window will cause issues from time to time. that being said, the door design would allow them to open in the drive thru

I want to see a 32 oz drink in that bungee cord looking cup holder and go over speed bumps. LoL

I'd love to see an Aptera parked up within an inch of a tall wall and see if the doors still open and how high the ceiling needs to be to fully open if they do.

Hello, This tire changing and brake pad replacement is my only hang up about ordering one. Could you make a video about how to change the rear wheel? Showing how to change the front wheel was great except for not showing how to take off the wheel cover. And how to change the brake pads on both the front and rear tires. Other than those two issues I have I would love to order your vehicle when production is up and running. Thank you.

The Big Question for me is: will I be able to add battery pack later on down the line? can I also upgrade from FWD to AWD later as well? With talks about right to repair, it only seems consistent for these upgrade options to be available.

@aptera - how does this do in a touchless carwash? I'd worry about the wheel covers getting blown around and that the actual wheels wouldn't be cleaned. I'd also love to see a canine focused video - while I've heard so many things about how Aptera is dog friendly, I'd love to see how this works with a medium to large size dog like a retriever or doodle. Can't wait for mine! 🤩

What is included in the process that allows the owner of the aptera to remove the wheel covers and not a random passerby while the car is parked? Is there any added theft protection for this area due to its ability to attract attention?

So how do you avoid wobbling, noises and damage from hard suspension?

Reservation holder and investor here... I'm wondering: which battery pack models will be able to achieve the 3.5 second 0 to 60? There's been a lot of discussion that only certain battery pack sizes will be able to do it that quickly. Thanks for clarifying things!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the right to work on / repair your own vehicle. I have a 2012 Nissan Leaf, and I'm basically trapped. It's so frustrating now 10 years down the road with parts starting to fall out of warranty. For example, the condition of the battery is about half now, Nissan said they won't give me a new battery because the ones that will fit my model have basically aged out. Also, they will not modify the vehicle to have a newer battery. In addition, they won't refer me to another place or give me the knowledge to attempt it myself. I can't wait till I can get my Aptera!!

1) What sort of efficiency do your solar cells achieve? 2) What is the power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle? 3) What is the recharge rate of the vehicle when it is plugged in? 4) What is the mass of the solar cells vs the mass of the vehicle? 5) Does the interior have some way to compensate for the increased heat of sitting in the sun to charge?

Great video Quincy but i have more questions since i do a lot of DiY for car services. What sizes are the tires, can i fit in 215/55/R17 tires and/or swap wheels with VOLK RACING Wheels? Does the jacking points will be clearly marked and does the vehicle come with standard OEM jack? Will it be as easy as ICE to replace brake rotors and pads for front and back? Does the front or rear suspension can be replace with after market coil over kit like KW or Fox or H&R? Will i be able to install under belly LED light kit or additional LED fog lights on the vehicle? What type of electrical connectivity for lights accessories? Sorry, a friend of mine curious about it. And this is for those who like to carry cargo on roof top, does the vehicle be able to support roof rack system for a bicycle or a SUP or a kayak? Does each aptera come with Pet Mode like in Tesla? How many cameras on board and can it be use as security mode to record or taking pictures? How many USB-C 20v fast charging port in the vehicle or does it come with wireless charging pad? And finally, when will Aptera open another round of investment for reserved customers and investors? Sorry for all the weird questions, but curiosity may kicks in sooner or later about these questions. Please do make another video in answering these questions if you would and very much appreciated of course.

How rugged are the wheel covers if you accidentally scrape a curb? Will you hit the tire or the covers?

I was wondering how you would park on a hill? Usually you have to turn in your wheels on a downward slope, or outward on an uphill slope. Would that cause the wheel covers to hit the curb?

If there is a 'tool' required to remove the wheel fairings, I hope Aptera makes the storage and access of that tool easy- like integrating a storage slot/box in the driver's door armrest. I would hate to see such a tool buried under the rear cargo floor.

My work has installed solar panels over all the parking spaces, with a few gaps. Depending on the which season, and which gap, the amount of sun charging will change as the sun angle changes during the seasons. I would like to know if there will be a display saying how much charge each solar cell is generating. That way if the tail keeps getting shaded, as an example, I can try to find a different spot. The idea of going out once an hour to see what, if any part of the aptera is under shade is not very appealing. On top of that it would change every month and the sun angle changes. So going outside once a month every hour on the hour and then mapping the spot for next year would be made a lot easier if aptera told me which cell, not just the total, was getting the most sun. I would think this issue would also show up for employer parking lots with tall trees. Thanks for bring this feature request before your engineers.

My main concern is safety. Where do airbags fit in a vehicle that small? How would it fair in a side collision?

Thx. for the video. I am both an Aptera reservation holder and an investor. Can you tell me if I can use Aptera to power my house (V2H Capability) in the event of an outage. If this is not possible, what is preventing Aptera from implementing this even though Tesla is yet to make a bi-directional charger.

My big fear with parking is other cars hitting your wheels judging your cars distance by the width of the body and cutting too early when backing or too late when entering.

RE: tight parking, like a few others, I too noticed that Space around the front wheels looks tight. Do you plan to have an on-screen video guide that we can enable such that we can park easily? Kinda like what we have when we are reversing in traditional cars like Tesla Model3? Except that this would be during parking, perhaps on-demand thru screen-selection

How does the aptera perform on winter roads? The center of a snowy road is snow-covered, and has poor traction.

Which reminds me, when going through a toll on a paid highway, what category of vehicle does Aptera fall under and what would the effect be on tolls? Like, If I apply for an easy-pass, they have categories like 2 axes, 4 axes, motorcycle and motorcycle with side-car, but I did not see anything about trikes. I assume it will cost less. But I doughnut wanna make any assumptions. 😆

Great video y'all. Part of me wants to see what time this can do on track at a place like Laguna Seca. You know, for science! Randy Pobst likes to get behind the wheel of just about everything and he's been a benchmark driver for so many marques. Really would love to get something like this, a 4-seater would make it a lot easier to say yes to for a family car, but I'd hate to see that spoil the design. I guess the rear doors could gull-wing up and back, would be like dragonfly wings when the doors are open. I'm guessing a DIY builder's option isn't on the table? For those of us that like to tinker and get really well acquainted with their vehicles, getting it in a ready to build kit would be awesome (See Ultima GTR for inspiration).

What was the width of those parking stalls at about 2:20? In Hawaii we have a lot of substandard parking stalls. Plus a lot of people drive trucks and SUVs here that creep even closer to the lines here.
