Oh they are even better live! They are the nicest group of people you can ever meet. This song doesn't even showcase the power of Brittney's voice. Highly check out Tonight we Ride or Cleanse the Bloodlines from them..great reaction!
I am hearing like 75% IronMaiden, 25% Dream Theater. Giving them the Archers sound. Love your vids! You make my day a little better...... (Nightwish rules)
So proud of my fellow Canadians in this band! UTA has a great live show and I absolutely love their concept albums. Brittney Slayes vocals are powerful to say the least. Glad you finally found them!
I saw a reaction to this song and after I picked my jaw up from the floor I learned that it is the first song of a concept album and the follow up album had just been released. So I did the only sensible thing. I bought both albums on vinyl and when they arrived I sat down with a glass of nice rum in one hand and the lyrics sheet in the other and listened to them back to back following along with the story of the Immortal. It starts with this and let me tell you when I got towards the end with The Wind That Shapes The Land I was absolutely euphoric 😊
IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME! AWAKENING To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die Come to me, awakening Follow my voice, come to me Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never Lighting my way in the night To roam; to never die
Dudeeee. Unleash The Archers is so badass! You need to experience more! "Tonight we ride", "Soulbound", "Cleanse the Bloodlines", there are too many epic tracks to list!
one thing that gets underappreciated about the Drummer I feel. One of the subtle things he does during the Chorus he switches up his Doublekick from right, left, right, left into right, right, left, left. that gives it a whole different feel into a much groovier vibe, rather then your usual "machine gun" double kick. its pretty difficult to do, takes a lot of practice and not many people use that technice. I heard somebody say Brittney Slayes gives them a "she could be DIOs daughter" Vibes with her vocals. anyhow, subbed to your channel. I like your style :) Greetings from germany and rock on
@@ArabManReacts ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zI2ILR38HHI.html He have few already :) Maybe you can invite her to do reaction with you 😉
welcome to the world of UtA ,, its a hell of a ride.. i really hope you continue to react to their music.. i will subscribe to find out if you do .. great reaction .. and look forward to the next .. tc n be safe
Love it when you start speaking Arabic ( I guess it is Arab Man Reacts, Duh) your expression is priceless and I understood everything you meant in Arabic I can’t speak or know a word of it but I know a music afectionadoo. Know I ask you to do Unleash the Archers a long way back knew you would love them. Brittany Slayes is the incredible voice. Great band great reaction glad your safe! I sub months ago on your first Nightwish reaction!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I first heard this band and song 4 months ago after seeing it pop up in the playlists of some of my favourite reactors. I watched the clip alone before watching react vids. Ho-lee Cow!! Mind blown. I am so glad I listened to it because UtA are now my favourite band. They're my feel-good, get amped go-to. I'm so glad you found them too and are as blown away as I was.
Oh hell, I hadn't even realised you hadn't heard of these guys before. They're super great, and Brittney Slayes is a truly top tier vocalist. Try the song Tonight We Ride if you wanna hear her really bust out some high notes. Also I don't get any DT vibes from, thankfully. They aren't nearly wanky and proggy enough.
Brittney is a classically trained vocalist and it SHOWS!! This Song/Video needs to be the benchmark for ALL future metal bands...Danged near flawless!!! As a drummer - I LOVED IT
Salaam, Arab Man Reacts! You just heard one of the few vocalists that can hang, vocally, with Floor Jansen. She can belt notes -- _for days._ To get a fuller experience of Brittney Slayes, I recommend the following: 1) Abyss 2) Faster Than Light 3) Time Stands Still 4) Tonight We Ride 5) Legacy And I'm telling you: Unleash the Archers is a band that never disappoints. And you're not hearing DT vibes, you're hearing DragonForce vibes (think Guitar Hero III, "Through the Fire and Flames"), Iron Maiden, and Manowar vibes. If Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson had a daughter together, it would be Brittney Slayes. 🤘😎🤘
Hey @Arab Man and (fictional???) Joey!!! Great, awesome choice and reaction. Hehehe, you just met Brittney. The thing I love about her most...she's one of the coolest, down to earth, even geeky-nerdy METAL BADASSES you could hope to find. You don't need to react to the following, BUT, I know you'll love it. Here's Brittney: At a karaoke bar On karaoke equipment *AFTER* UTA did a concert covering "Queen of The Reich" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-280DRqoGyLw.html
Britney is a cool geek girl. Edit, They have issues with Bassists. They can't keep them. Living in Vancover seems too expensive for bassists (~_^) and they go through them like Spinal Tap went through drummers
I *think* (but am not certain) that a lot of it has to do with their writing process; the 4 permanent members have a pretty tight dynamic on the writing, so it's just easier to add a session player in for the bass than mess up that dynamic adding a 5th permanent member (who'd likely want in on the writing.)
As of Dec. 6, ‘21, Nick Miller is permanent bass player. He’s toured with them for several years. He’s a great entertainer and bass/guitar player extraordinar.
She's so awesome, that part that sounds like vocal doubling tech, making it sound like a fake harmony? Yeah, she's doing that part, too. You can hear in a couple of places. Her range, man..
I'm liking, commenting, and subscribing because of how cleanly and calmly you plugged liking, commenting, and subscribing. Also the video itself was excellent lol. Glad you enjoyed this, definitely one of my favorite songs ever!
They are great live! If you ever get a chance to see them, you should. Check out tonight we ride, taste your metal, general of the dark army, cleanse the bloodlines, any UTA will do fine.
Most people will now say that you need to check their Tonight we ride Abyss Soulbound But I would recommend for you to listen to “frozen steel” There is no video, so perhaps just listen in your own time for pure enjoyment. Congrats on 10k subscribers 👏
No DT vibes but if you've ever heard early Queensryche ( The Lady Wore Black, Queen of the Reich), well, it's clear they have a thing for classic metal.
Been watching alot of reactions to various stuff I like, because I am boring and have no friends. But anyways, I really like your channel man. You seem to genuinely enjoy the music react to, and don't have that overexaggerated behaviour alot of other people have. Thanks for a sleepless night being better with your videos :D Keep it up my man.
Every time I see this video: 1) Brittney! 2) So much hair on this band. 3) Wow. Look at Scott go on those drums. He’s got to be doing the work of running at least a 10k. 4) Why do I suddenly want to learn to play bass guitar?
Entertaining me again Arab fren! I enjoy it a lot to experience new music through your vids. Another sonic blast from British Columbia. Same birth grounds as Hevy Devy. A lot of skill there indeed. Must be something in their waters. Het voice comes through in a similar manner as Floor's does in her After Forever / ReVamp performances. Very stern and powerful. Not the type of timbre I fancy a lot though. I got Maiden vibes immediately, but DT surfacing as well. Not entirely my cup of tea, but you make me appreciate it nonetheless. Ooh, and congrats on the 10k! Well deserved.
Yes, yes, yes! I'm 48 and my band worship took this path: In high school, Van Halen was the best. In college, it was Rush. After college, and for the last 25 years, it was Dream Theater for me. And now, as of 2018 when I discovered them, Unleash the Archers is tops for me. And yes, thank you for recognizing their DT-like musicianship. They did a livestream concert recently, and I swear one of their guitarists Andrew Kingsley looked at times like Petrucci had colored his hair red. This song's big DT moment for me is the 16 bars of neo-classical runs right after the guitar solo. Maiden is also an apt comparison, and the one I use to try and convince people to give them a listen . Britney's fast vibrato reminds me so much of Dickinson. Check out the song Apex for an absolute love letter to that classic Maiden sound. One of my favorite songs by them. Their problem is that they are mis-marketed by their label. They're marketed as a Power Metal group, and before Covid hit they were on tour with Dragonforce. Here's the thing though, I see SO many comments on their videos along the lines of, "I don't really care for Power Metal, but these guys are great!". And that's because these guys are so much more than a single niche, and totally deserve to be considered a mainstream metal band that can carry the torch for that classic Maiden and Priest and Queensryche sound. I've been looking for 20 years for a band that can scratch that Maiden itch, and I finally found it with these guys. Glad you discovered them, now spread the word! These guys deserve to rule the metal world and play for thousands at a time, and it's a crime against humanity that they still have to work day jobs. I saw them live twice in 2018, playing for about 300-500 in a small club, and they were fucking incredible. I can only hope I'll see them in much bigger venues and be able to say I saw them so up close and personal. They are JUST as good live as they are here in this video.
Hell yes, getting to the good songs right off the bat on this channel. "Demolisher" by Slaughter to Prevail. Then react to the pop songs that the singer of the band covers as metal versions. It's hysterical
I haven't actually listened to much DT, but I used to be a big fan of Queensryche and got a similar vibe to them in what little DT I have heard. Which I mention because I'm pretty sure I heard Brittney mention Queensryche as one of her influences in an interview (and also there's a video of her doing one of their songs in a karaoke bar after the show.) So that might be what you're hearing.
If you want to see what Brittney can really do check this out. _After_ a show one night, the band went to a bar for beers and karaoke. Brittney got up to sing Queen of the Reich, by Queensryche. This video was shot on a cellphone. Be prepared to have your mind blown. Karaoke (Unleash the Archers) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-280DRqoGyLw.html
Yeah, Dream Theatre, Dio vibes at the intro! Brittney Slayes - yes, she does! Welcome to UTA. A galaxy of talent there! Scott Buchanan on drums. Some Iron Maiden sounds in the solo. And then THAT bass run!!! Satisfaction!!!? (Someone should show this to Mick Jagger!) edit - check the personnel list! What bassist!? LOL! He IS pretty chill making that magic!
Good morning man... congrats on the 10k. This song is really worth the celebration. This a great bang... Britney Slayes has great voice and seems very nice... she participate in many reaction channels around RU-vid. Your next song from Unleash the Archers is Tonight We Ride I think you’re also ready for your next bands like Wintersun (try Sons of Winter and Stars) and Orbit Culture (try Open Eye). They are next level in musicianship. Keep on rocking
I once saw someone describe Brittany Slayes as what would happen if Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden where some how able to have a daughter

Unleash The Archers are incredible and Brittney Slayes is one of the best vocalists out there. Also check out Orden Ogan -Gunman Wind Rose - To Erebor Gloryhammer - Gloryhammer Myrath - Believer Beast In Black - Blind and Frozen 🤘🏻🙂
To really see what Brittney can do, watch their official video for Tonight We Ride. Also please watch the video below of her at a Karaoke bar after a full show and I suspect a bit tipsy killing one of hardest metal songs to sing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-280DRqoGyLw.html
@@ArabManReacts The link for the karaoke video is more for your own enjoyment, not high quality enough to be reacted to I don't think, but the official video for Tonight We Ride you should definitely react to if you have done so already.
Apparently you know who I am talking about, maybe you are the Canadian? And I saw Lee Aaron in Seattle... I know, nearly in Canada may as well be a Canadian city. All it proves is how old I (we) are.
another vocal talent you need to check out is beast in black with the song blind and frozen. the way Yannis sings is just out of this world. and its cheesy power metal at its finest
Glad to see you finally the vocal prowess of Brittney Slayes! Many people describe her as the lovechild of Bruce Dickenson and Ronnie James Dio :D She has a twitch channel where she plays games and chat with fans and it's a great community.. you should drop in sometime. www.twitch.tv/brittneyslayesuta and she told us the other night she have no idea how high her voice can go.. all she knows is she can reach the highest chord that a guitar can play. Some other great tracks: General of the dark army, Tonight we Ride, Faster then light, Abyss, Soulbound, Nothwest passage and my new favorite, Legacy
Awesome reaction Man !!! I'm with you.. D.T. has been My Favorite for 20 + years until about 2 years ago when I found this AMAZING Band by" accident" some how? Now I cannot get Enough of them !!! (best accident for me) Please do yourself a favor and check out more of their music.... You will Not regret it !!! Brittney is the Absolute Queen of Metal... and the Boys.. Off The Charts talented !! I do not think they can write a bad song. Their last 2 albums are a concept story that is Brilliant ("Apex"+ "Abyss") So Hope to see You react to some more UtA in the near future !!! Cheers !!! P.S. (subscribed) !
The first time I heard them, I wasn't really paying a lot of attention to the track. When she started yelling, I honestly thought it was Bruce from Iron Maiden.
CANADIAN CONTENT!!!!!!! YYYYYIIIIIPPPPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! You haven't heard from them because they are a Canadian Metal band. They spend a LOT of time in a van driving back and forth across Canada. Canadian bands have to be willing to go and play ANYWHERE.
In my eyes (ears?) besides Blind Guardian (which i do love very much) the absolute best in Rock-Music of the last 40 Years.....and i heard a lot stuff ^^
"DT vibes?" Delirium tremens? Maiden fer sure. Brittney channels Dio, Halford, and Dickensen. OK, you think this is processed and yes there's some echo on the mic at times, so listen to a karaoke bar session recorded on a phone. She and her boys had gone out for a beer in Edinburgh, Scotland after performing at a concert, and then she did this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-280DRqoGyLw.html The thing is, she's probably had a few pops before singing this and then casually walks off stage with her beer. True Canuck. A few tidbits: Scott the drummer is her partner, she also has a day job, she played scrum half in college (some of you will know what that means), she has had classical training (no kidding), she is the band management as well as writing the music, the lyrics, plus writing the over arching story line. Also, she's very active on social media and she does appear on reactor channels (Chase Carneson, Mr. Rock n Roll to name two), so do a few UTA songs and you and Brittney can have a nice chat online.
dude that would be so epic..holy cow, i'm not opening that link cuz Joey might want me to react to it, i'm checking out her socials right now though. Thank yee!

Legend has it that Bruce Dickinson and Ronnie James Dio conjured a daughter of Metal. They bestowed upon her the name of Brittney Slayes, and that is what she does.
