I absolutely adore this game. Back in 1998, on my first ever summer vacation, I used to propose a trade to the lady that sold the coins for he machine, by offering her sandwiches and she gave them to me. Best fighting game of my childhood, Cheng-Fu was one of my childhood heroes and this needs a remake asap. I also made a playthrough on my channel, had to do it definitely :D Keep up the great work !!!
I seen the movie which I though was cool, watch the morning cartoon show, and played all the games based off the game series which were hard lol. Sure brings back the old memories when looking at this game thats for sure. Thanks for the upload Cubex55. I so enjoy all of your old school games. Some of them I played back in the day. Its superb to see that someone shares my passion of old school fighting games. Which is very rare to find this days.
Schlauchi (or whoever in the channel), would you please consider uploading this game again? The video quality ended being very poor and sometimes it's hard to make out what's happening on the screen or even see some of the levels' details. If you do I would also suggest to play it at least on level-4 so your opponents try to use their special moves more frequently as here they're not much more than punching bags. Thank you and keep it up, it's always a pleasure watching your longplays. :)
@MasaruKato82 Yeah, but some of these characters are thugs from the actual Double Dragon game, so their appearance got updated. I mean, every fighting game character is bound to be generic in some aspect.

Right, but they never did with Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls. Most people just hated the "Street Fighter: The Movie" video games mainly because of the plot and the arcade version not being developed by Capcom. At least their gameplay is less harsh than the gameplay of the more canon Street Fighter 1.

If this is based on the Double Dragon movie that many people dislike, how come I don't hear as many people spreading hatred over this Neo-Geo game as they do to the arcade and home versions of the video game titled Street Fighter: The Movie?
😂😂😂 holy crap this game had horrible mechanics, even for that time frame, but, this game is CRAZY funny... The announcer had me dying... The intros were the best parts...i was cracking up during the Jimmy intro thinking, why the hell did Billy just dropkick the dude holding pads for Jimmy? Lol... Then he proceeds to dropkick a guy who's just drinking and chilling, and just to be malicious, he dropkicks an arcade punching game just bcuz someone else was playing it ... Then i saw--but i imagined i heard it, you know, as the game originally intended--THE BEST victory line outta ANY fighting game EVER: Get out you can't sleep here!! Like bro, you JUST knocked this chick out.... SAVAGE...! BETTER than ANY Ken or Ryu line lol... Then you got this gangsta ass ninja who rolls out of a friggin KITE to catch a plane! A kite! And that ending?? SERIOUSLY?? He's all happy trying to impress his master by winning, and he does, but.... Master's dead btw.... And the story abruptly ends... Lol...Oh man the list goes ON...
I'm not gonna lie: it's kinda disappointing to see a playthrough on the easiest difficulty setting (i'd personally prefer to see it at least on Normal, which would be at level 4 for a Neo-Geo game) But, unlike many people who are real jerks and they do nothing but insult the player for that, i have to say in all honesty: for a level 1 playthrough, this wasn't so bad.

The FMV bit before the title screen, how many Neo Geo sprites were used for that, after conversion from video to sprites? PS. A programming challenge: Would the Neo Geo be able to handle a conversion of Shantae: Half Genie Hero? (plus how many Mbits should it be?) Also, it should be a Giga Power Pro-Gear Spec title, since bank switching will BE needed Also, Shantae...well I learned she's a Turkish gal in this one, so her voice actress should be capable of a decent Turkish accent. Shantae should be able to speak English well enough, as well as Turkish.
Wow, the sprites and grpahics of this game damn near RIVAL the animation of Street Fighter 3! Very well done and polished! But that announcer....A-bo-bo?!

@RocMegamanX Rage of the Dragons was the closest thing, but no, Million, made up of former Technos employees, wouldn't give the game makes the Double Dragon rights. Why not? It's not like they've made that many games since their formation, so....they're idiots.
@jowrab Going on how much it had to do with the game rather than just being a steaming turd with two laughable characters that share the names of the Lee bros, and that it just happened to be called Double Dragon, i'm going to have to say no. That would be like acknowledging the Super Mario Bros movies as having anything to do with the game that it disgraced the name of.
